For each cars, I love the Suzuki Cappuccino because it's cute styling, has a turbocharger and has a redline of more than 10,000 RPM. While I love the Vauxhall VX220 too because of it's styling and has an option for turbocharged engine. Last but not least, for the Renault Sport Spider, I absolutely love it too because of it's styling and it's focus on performance basis.
Paul Wildeboer Well, then I guess I picked the best dream car! The thing I'm afraid of, though is the price and availability of parts. Is that a problem?
+Suriner I'm in Malta and I'm currently restoring a '92 EA11R. Availability is one of the main problems of the cap, other then that it's more than worth it, a fun ride and turns heads anywhere you go. Such a unique wonderful little thing :)
Usually I hate most, if not, all renaults but that Renault spider looks astonishing. Doesn't look like anything from the 90s. They should make more cars like that
The RS are guns in track, big sedans are not expensive and full equipment, vans they are just endless and they just go on and on. But people only see diesel versions...
@@esotericman22 Must have had a time machine! The Speedster was first shown at the Geneva Motor Show in 1999 (VX220 at London Show later the same year) and production didn't start until July 2000. It was actually launched on the UK market in August 2000. Bullshit indeed...
Just posted this comment, about Vauxhall not owning Lotus at the time. Then saw this here. Quickly go back and delete mine. GM helped fund the Elise S2 as Lotus didn’t have the money to develop it. Part of the deal was Lotus to build some cars for GM. Glad they did. Love my VX220
although it's a fwd car, i would've suggested the Daihatsu Copen in the place of the Capuccino. It's a more recent car, it's a cabrio with an electrical alluminium roof, and it has a more powerful 1.3l 87hp engine. Also the suspension are very stiff, it's like driving a go-kart, on the road. I know because i own one.
all of these are built for ultimate handling you can see this by looking at suspension geometry- double wishbone front and rear all of them. This is very rare on a car (except supercars- they will have it almost 100%). A Mcpherson will always have inferior potential because of no camber gain basically you either corner well but get it trouble on a straight line and poor braking or you get good braking and straight line but poor cornering.
And if you are in any way sane, check out the Mazda MX 5 (I recommend the Mk3 for the best of the bunch) cos its the best two seater convertible sports car at its price ever made
Stig Cruise there is... Talk to International Vehicle Importers based out of Ontario California. They have a lot of info regarding legally importing cars that meet the Year exemption rule. Check them out on FB.
+Jules Fraser-Burton Done! Looks nice. Much more information then is available in the Netherlands. We only have about 20 Cappu's driving in Holland.. Thanks so much!
4k I was told. Need to do mine again within the next few days but when it averages we'll over 49mpg when honing, the fuel savings make up for na oil change I'd say

+Keaton Belliston There is always the Pontiac Solstice or the Saturn Sky which are both essentially the Vauxhall VX220, albeit with a weaker engine I think (except maybe the Sky Redline).
+faisca5 actually, the Sky and Solstice are on a completely different platform (Kappa) than the VX220 (built on the Elise platform). Because of this, the Sky/Solstice is an FR roadster, while the VX220 is mid-engined, behind the driver. The Opel GT (rebadged Sky) was the successor to the Speedster, AKA VX220.
The VX220 has aged so well
it's a great car but Elise aged so much better
+colin chapman Exige S2 didn't age at all, looking more fresh and with better proportions than S3
Jack Cooper It's a called the Opel Speedster in Ireland and every Other market but the UK. Much cooler name than Vauxhall vx220.
Damien McGrath despite the similarities the speedster and vx220 are actually different cars.
Aliasify only difference between the opel-Vauxhal/daywoo is what side the steering wheel is on.

Thank you for uploading. Good old days..I still maintain the Spider, it still is the best sports car for me.
VX220's are now £20,000! imagine saving one since then. What an investment.
VX220 looks and is the best :-)
when she said "657" my eyes lit up, and then she said cc.
God I love the Suzuki Cappuccino!

Paul Wildeboer I think I'm gonna buy one within the next year or two and I can't wait. It's my dream car.

in case you don't know , the cappuccino is faster than an AE86 when you do a downhill race.
Unless Takumi is behind the wheel 😉 lol
Takumi won the race with cappuccino lol
Nkllz0 yeah and everyone told him how much harder or almost impossible to win it would have been for him if it wasn't raining...lol
Can you deliver tofu in it though?
So the "proper stripped out race car" is heavier and slower than the slowest variant of the vx220 🤔
The VX or Speedster as it is called on Opel terms is by far the best here

DerpEye needs 130 hp at least lol
Still a bit slow
To suggest the copen tells me that you've never driven a cappuccino. Mm there is no comparison
That Vauxhall is such a beautiful car
Things has changed very much in terms of money, since this video was filmed. Doesn't it?
Yh, cappuccinos were touching £4k last time one was for sale in the UK with 0 for sale in the UK rn
The Renaultsport spider is around £40k now.
@@daveyboiyeahyes yes yes. Too much. and the Elises are around 23k now here, in Spain
Yes the VX has also gone up since this was filmed. They seemed to have bottomed out a few years ago and now going up. Still cheaper than an Elise
General Motors (US) owned both Vauxhall and Lotus !

Little Renault is so cool never seen one of these before 👍
It would be interesting to see what would happen if u told lotus to upgrade yr cappuccino.
That Spider is a cool car. Be a tough choice between that or a Clio V6 at that sort of money.
+Coldfin9er Decent It would have to be a Phase 1 Clio V6 at this money. Phase 2s are about £30k these days.
+James Franklin v6 clio holds its money and easier to sell on
either the cappucino or the opel ...both of them are great
Reno is the best car of the all 3 cars. Its the most stylish car
I love Renault Spider
I'm always charmed by the British way to say "hohspaeh".
Hard to believe the little Suzuki is not Ulez compliant now.
I love three of them
These are all great, but I'm inclined to particularly look at the Suzuki Swift Sport.
Later model Cappuccino with some engine and suspension mods and its a little weapon 😊
I forgot the spider even existed...
How about Honda beat , and the Mazda autozam?
Mazda AUTOZAM AZ1 is like £10k if you can even find one for sale and has the same engine as the cappuccino
I can’t find a cappuccino for sale anywhere in Australia, my next best bet is an mr2 which costs at least 10k for one in half decent condition
Nvm, I found 1 cappuccino for sale in Australia, not in anywhere near good condition, $18,000.
And if you are in any way sane, check out the Mazda MX 5 (I recommend the Mk3 for the best of the bunch) cos its the best two seater convertible sports car at its price ever made

I wish there was a way to get the cappuccino in the states

i'm importing one as I type :D
Owning a VX220 (Opel Speedster as it's called here) having less than 15.000mls on it, I'm sure not to sell it in 2019... :D
Toyota mr2
I'd have a Clio V6 over that Spider any day of the week
is this all?!?!?! very short review... :( I would have like dto hear more from you.
Song at 0:58? Name please?
I love my cappuccino. So much fun :)

£300 for an engine mount? £50 each and 20-30mins to fit more like it.
for the fifth gear crew i ask if u could test two cars that i hear are amazing rivals the mclaren p1 and porsche 918 spyder they are very close
I thought the cappuccino was a lot smaller (k car size)
+Legitimate Sweg it is exactly kei-car size. It's just VX220 being so tiny that Cappo doesn't look tiny next to it.
that is the first good looking Renault that I've seen
Couldn't agree more
is it true that the capuccino needs oil changing every three thousand miles? that's pretty poor.
