Hi Georgina This is unrelated to this vlog but l have been watching your videos about self catheters as l have just started this week and have found them so helpful. I have a UTI at the moment but it’s early days. Hope you are keeping well😊

Hi! Firstly, huge well done! First week is the hardest! Sorry to hear about the uti though, have you seen my video about how to reduce infections when using catheters?

Hope you do okay on the antibiotics, unless it’s hiprex, 3 months sounds like a lot

Thank you, Susan! My glasses are on my head to hide the bald spots & I stopped using hair oils & things for frizzy hair about a year ago as I now like the frizz because it makes my hair appear so much thicker! times have really changed for me & how I do my hair, but I’m grateful I can still get it to look the same even though it is not the same anymore! lots of love to you too, lovely Susan!

Hi Georgia this question is on a separate topic- I was wondering how you manage when you get vomiting episodes in public? I don't have cyclic vomiting syndrome, but I get severe involuntary gagging episodes when I'm under cognitive stress (like working under a tight deadline, etc.); how do you handle it when you get gagging or vomiting episodes in public? I get so embarassed and have no idea what to do.

So sorry you deal with that, I know how horrible it must be (from what I go through myself). if possible, I limit going out in those times, & I also excuse myself to private places when I can- in your case, you would be allowed to use the disabled toilet to excuse yourself to, because you are debilitated by your symptoms in those moments. I also gravitate to noisy places that could muffle the noise, or alternatively, quiet places where there are no or less people. In rare but severe cases where I’m able to, I also may give those around me a heads up that I can’t control this and that if they are phobic to it, they might want to leave because they can move, but I can’t as there’s people everywhere so no quiet place for me to go. I also have tips for nausea & vomiting that may help you and I’ll link it here: Tips For Nausea & Vomiting ruclips.net/video/QTUM9RWPi18/видео.html

@@GeorginasJourney Thank you so much for the thorough reply. My current strategy is mostly to try to be in public when things aren't too busy. I'm always afraid to use the disabled toilet because I'm able to walk (but only slowly), so I don't want to get into an argument with someone over using it. After having watching your tips for nausea and vomiting video, I think what I deal with is a bit different; it's basically that I feel suffocated and keep involuntarily gagging when I try to focus hard on something or when I'm trying to integrate multiple streams of thought; it really doesn't happen at any other time; this has only been going on for the past year or so, but I haven't brought it up with my neurologist because I'm not sure how they'd parse it (in my experience, presenting stuff to doctors that they don't run into frequently can result in them trying to treat it as a psychiatric disorder, so I'm trying to avoid that). Thanks for the cool tidbit about various soft drinks containing anti-emetics; I didn't know that; super cool.
