Episode 119 - 5 AKG Microphones - D202, D222, D190, SE300, C451

Like the Beyer video - this is a simple comparison between the AKG microphones I have here. Some ar rather nice and one at least is just a bit boring - but if you see adverts for them, you'll know what they sound like.
The SE300 has a CK91 cardioid capsule and the C451 has a CK-1 cardioid fitted.

I also remember seeing D190s as a kid at a local church here in Serbia. It's probably due to their somewhat sacral look i guess, that doesn't look too far out of place. I have a pair of them now and they sound good too, especially on toms, but yes, they are usually a bit overpriced these days.

I’m not sure what happened here? The 202 and the sm7b are on totally separate systems? I must have done something in the final stage before rendering.
