    Hello,
I have some very heavy old sewing machines also. To compensate for the heavy weight, I roll up a large heavy beach towel and secure it with rubber bands (hmm, maybe velcro strips wrapped around the bundle would be more secure). I then place this in back of the machine in an area where its not obstructing anyting or would cause damage to any parts, This means that I can lean the machine back and it is supported on a nice cushioned pillow with no need for me to hold it,
Love your videos. You have an excellent teaching style.

Thank you so much. I had watched several videos about removing, cleaning, replacing bobbin race on singer 15k. Everything was great until I was trying to replace it. Thankfully I eventually found your video that specified that the two moving parts needed to be in opposite positions. As soon I had that information it was straight forward. Thank you so much !!

You're welcome! The bobbin race on a 15K is a pain to get back together that's for sure! Glad I could help you fix yours. Thanks for watching 🙂

Well done putting that all together! My first experience doing this did not go well, I made the mistake of taking it apart in the kitchen that little screw at the back whilst being screwed back on bounced off and went awol for months, I found it again when I got a new fridge by which time I'd spent an obscene amount on a replacement! Xx

Thanks very much for this. I have a Janome hand-crank that was working perfectly until one day the feed-dogs (teeth) would not move the fabric through ?. After investigating - the teeth were sitting up high enough above the plate until I lower the presser foot. The presser foot pushes the teeth down and they don't recover thus not able to grab the fabric and move it along. 🤔 still working on this one

You're welcome! Have you adjusted the presser foot pressure? There should be an adjustment knob on the top of the pressure foot bar. On my machines it looks like a little round circle of metal with grooves on it so you can hold it. Let me know how you get on.
