I'm glad to see how nurses started their journey, I remember being assisted at UCLA in California with numbers of nurses from the Philippines. They're just the kindest 💕 when they enter the room. When my dad got an injury in Europe, also a Filipino nurse helped us. Quite funny how so many Filipino nurses following us 😄

After my license in the Philippines and worked there for 3 years, it gave me opportunities to work wherever I would want to in every part of the world..
nurses are forever needed which I am forever grateful with my mentors back then and of course my late dad and mom who relentlessly supported me all throughout my journey.
Now im PRC-RN, haad passer, saudiRN, UKRN. Waiting for nclex so I can move to US for my next stop.

Beverly, Modesty aside, the Philippine Educational System is US patterned and the Books mostly from the US as well. And our National Language is TAGALOG and ENGLISH (American English). And per statistics about 30% of all the Nurses working around the World came from the Philippines and about 3% are Non-Pilipinos but studied in the Philippines. Thanks for your observations.
The nursing school system in the Philippines was established when the Philippines was still a part of the United States. It's why so many nurses in the US are Filipinos.

Congrats !! I remember my pinning ceremony way back 1985 , way back then nursing was 5 years . Were only 26 students and as a guy were only 4 .Now Im retired , we passed the torch for our future nurses , Im sure your mom is so proud of you , May God bless you more
