No experience as horrid as entering a terminal shop and seeing the most overpriced snacks, awful kids toys and some wage slave trying to not crumble as a customer clogs up the line looking for a twenty dollar bill they don't have
1:36:00 this is peak indie game moment. i am dying at the idea of someone inhaling a pizza right at the counter while the guy has to act like everythings okay

1:26:10 lol, I thought Tomato many reading voices was great early on but to see his wage slave character fall for the distraction robbery was hilarious. :)
I'm just gonna say one thing about D&D. Paladin is the role for me, I don't know what to tell you, every time I've played a not-paladin I spent the whole campaign missing my paladin powers.
Hear me out: barbarian half-orc with insanely high innate bluff related skills and bonuses. He *thinks* he's a paladin, but actually isn't as no god is willing to give him any powers (don't hate it's been literally forever since I've done anything paladin or DND). So he just uses all his barbarian skills and just shouts out loud the names of paladin exclusive attacks, and because so few people in that campaign (hopefully) have seen a real paladin they all just believe him (helped by his bluff/bullshit rolls). I have a similar one that IS NOT ORIGINALLY MY IDEA of a barbarian half-orc who really wants to be a rogue and just rolls deception with massive bonuses to force-pass the "you do not see me" rolls to make up for not actually having any stealth or rogue skills at all.
This is proof that if you keep asking your fav to come to Brazil, eventually they will! Often becoming trapped in a gambling spiral at the local fair. Never give up!
My only issue with BG3 is that you can cheese the game, due to Larian homebrew. I loved the first BG games, and while you could cheese those, usually it was expensive buying wands or other means, while in this a simple cantrip and a few barrels can deal with pretty much any encounter. HP isn't high, most enemies don't have crazy defenses, and you can remove the act of needing to roll for hits by playing smart. Not to mention, the level cap does suck as you don't hit your capstone at 14. Hopefully a sequel comes out where we can export like the first two games, as I'd be interested in seeing proper high levels. One of my favorite things about BG 2 was the fact you did get so powerful, or even Pathfinder.
@@RobotMasterSplash I hate it when someone says something like you just said. “Don’t do that then” If you feel the need to disengage from core mechanics of the game, and ultimately hurt yourself because of it, that’s not good game design. They brought over surfaces and other mechanics from Divinity, that’s part of the homebrew. You can’t completely ignore it, and ignoring it is dumb as then you’re actively gimping yourself while the enemies also have an over abundance of supplies to create surfaces. I can have a rogue in my party able to dodge fireballs completely, avoiding the half damage modifier due to him being a rogue, yet a fire bomb completely negates that. Surfaces do not exist in table top, it’s always DM discretion. And I don’t hate the game, either. I love the first two more, but that’s due to nostalgia and overall the mechanics. I wouldn’t mind surfaces if it was extremely rare, but it isn’t. Divinity had magic armor to protect against effects, and had a ton of health. BG 3 does not. BG 3 just feels off in a lot of areas, but it’s still an enjoyable game. Don’t try to bash me for pointing out how easy the game is though, or how surfaces dominate gameplay.
Right, but the nature of the game is super consequence based. There's loads of ways to reach the end, but its not about just reaching the end just like in Fallout New Vegas where combat might as well not even exist.
@@StrifeRixa I just think I’ll disagree on a lot of stuff Larian did, like the excessive amount of consumables and barrels. They took it a little too far, but that’s understandable as their previous game was so heavily focused on surfaces and using the environment. There was an earlier Panel from Hell, where one of the developers states he wasn’t too fond of the first two Baldur Gates games as he didn’t enjoy certain aspects like real time combat. I just think BG3 could’ve been named something entirely different, and still have the connecting themes and characters/sub plots. I really do enjoy the game, however. I just don’t think it’s truly perfect, and I could talk about every single minor grievance for days. Still a top tier game.
5e kinda doesn't let you get strong, ever, that isn't really on larian. the level cap isn't good, but dnd is purposefully designed to make you feel weak no matter what level you are at.
