Hey question for you - the Rugged Radios radio, is that compatible with ham radio frequencies? If not can you hook up a ham (like a Baofeng) to the intercom system with a push-to-talk button type of setup?
If you buy the Garmin Tread, what headsets will work best for noise canceling and vox style talking?
What about a ground plane for the antenna? When mounted on roll cage is this a non-ground plane antenna?
Will your intercom system work with an Oxbow Radio?

For communication inside the car, the Cardo unites are awesome. Easy to hear and talk and listen to music. However, for car to car communication, a radio from rugged or PCI will give a lot more range. And the Cardo being wireless is another really cool perk. AND if you ride motorcycles, you can swap your bluetooth unit back and forth.
Will the 696 intercom connect to any rugged radio like the gmr 45 or gmr 25. I currently have the 696 intercom but would like to install a gmrs compatible radio.

I have the helmet set up but it just doesn’t Have any volume control you can barely hear the other person

There is not. But you could get the RH5R radio motorcycle kit that would allow you to that. We have a spotlight on that.

Tough to use if you're in a State that requires a helmet.

I use a Harley beanie type helmet in the sxs this works great
Radios are good. I have lost faith in RM ATV
bluetooth? and NO aux input? just don't loose your cell service (in the middle of no ware )or your music is gone. or you can download 2k worth of music off of itunes in advance. from 0 to 75% of the volume knob is useless. the music is VERY quit even with my Alpha bass headphones. ( not wort the money) I would pass on rugged radios next time and try PCI radios. I have had 3 sets so far trying to fix this problem so 4th time ill switch lol.... The coms are VERY loud and clear but the music side sucks...
