He can also sing in Dwarvish (Misty Mountains cover). Also on a fun note, someone asked how he gets the low notes and his response was hangover.
Edit: His song "Where I Belong" is an original by him in the style of Disney.

Viking was a job, not a name of the people. If you truly respect our ancestors you won’t use such a broad and wrong title. Only a small population of our people were vikingr. Most were farmers and fishermen.

@@DukeGouliez I'm sorry. Repeating title I've heard my whole life. I just recently found out about my ancestry so have alit of research to do yet. Thank you for your information. @@robinhatcher8021 William was the great great great grandson of Rollo, a famous vikingr who became a leader of Normandy and Frankia. While he was not a vikingr, he was a fierce fighter and ruler or both England and Frankia. I did not mean to come off as harsh, but in the last few years with all the media about people from “Scandinavia” (Vikings tv show, Assassin Creed, God of war) it has been rather frustrating for me and many other because suddenly the things we believe are just for entertainment purposes rather than being factual and accurate. I personally follow the ways of the old gods. And just as every other religion it has been used as entertainment. It makes me very happy to hear of others finding their roots. May you have a wonderful day and may your hearth always be warm

@@DukeGouliez Thank you dear Sir! I wish the same for you! Apparently, I'm a direct dependent of William the Conquerer. It may be only 1 drop of his blood by now, but I'm proud of it! I'm American so I have blood from 4 countries that I know of so far. Funny I just found out my maternal grandfather's people were from Scotland. Things fell into place when I found out as I'd always been drawn to Celtics culture and music but had no idea why. My grandfather had died years before I was born but my mother never mentioned it, so I don't know that he knew either. Anyway, it's fun to find out where all my people came from. It makes me feel grounded if that makes any sense.

depending on how you look at it, Old Norse is still alive as Icelandic, since Modern Icelandic is pretty similar to the Icelandic dialect of Old Norse from around 1200. as far as i know, it's the only dialect of Old Norse that stayed true to its roots. Modern Icelandic and Old Norse are so similar that a text written in the 1200's can be read, for the most part, by pretty much any Icelandic person as long as the text is first transcribed into the Latin alphabet.

Great reaction. I didn’t appreciate Colm the first couple times I checked out his songs-he often sings with his tongue pushed way back, depressing his larynx, and I wasn’t that keen on it. But then I heard Peter Barber’s comments on Misty Mountains-that this is a choice he makes, and that he doesn’t always do it. Anyway, I checked out more of his songs, and I’m super impressed. He still does overdarken his voice (Peter’s term for it) quite a bit, but in songs like this, it works well. And if you listen to the background harmonies, he’s not doing it all the time. One of the song links offered at the end of this video is an original piece that has a Disney-esque sound-he plays two parts in it and it’s really interesting to hear how different his character voices are. That’s not easy to do consistently when you’re singing. Also, while I haven’t checked the credits on the songs I’ve heard, I THINK he’s actually playing most of the instruments you hear and see. I’m super impressed and much more interested in hearing more of his work.
