Your 100% correct. You pay for them in the base price of the set. But Hasbros greed puts them behind stretch goals that are near impossible in the current financial climate of the country.
@@ernestmuric6719 So true! It's all about greed. Haslab should've noticed the struggle to hit 8,000 backers. I would be really surprised if we hit the first tier.
@@FanboyCantina Not saying you should do this, but if you backed the deluxe, then sold the $100 addition for $150-$200, you would be getting it for that price in the end. Just a thought.
I’ve been waiting for this play set basically all my adult life. In the 80’s I was a complete Star Wars fans and collected and kept all my figures into adulthood. With POTF2 I start collecting again, never missing a cantina alien hoping for a proper cantina play set to come. Now it’s here, I really hope it gets backed. All 6 figures would make it a super sweet deal.
That's awesome your dream came true. Mine was the sail barge, but I couldn't get it in Australia due to Hasbro's usual shenanigans. Enjoy your set it looks sweet.
With all the pieces laid out and the way the walls connect it looks so much like a playmobil set and when you look at it on those terms the price just seems even more outrageous. Happy for those that have been hoping for this and hope it funds.
Back the Cantina ✊️ and I'm defo going for a multiple shelves option.... with the exterior facade on one, then interior on another etc... gonna do a vid on that soon! 🥰🙏
At the moment, I don’t plan on backing the Cantina. It seems a bit wrong not to since the name of this channel is Fanboy Cantina, but it’s a bit too steep for a set that I don’t feel as compelled to have.
The Tonnika Sisters will be worth $200 each in a year. The Yak Face from the Barge sells for $150-250 on eBay, and the only difference is that he came with a coin vs the regular version that you can still buy for $15.
I also have been collecting since the 90's so have almost every figure for this I want this badly but I understand some of the people who are missing figures are a bit scared. I say back it and they will make the figures. I agree for 500 all figures should be included but dang tooling.
Given that it is such a high end item, all the Alcove Outer Walls should be textured/weathered. Not just the main entrance. Dioramas could extend to outside of the cantina, using the textured/weathered walls.
Great points. It looks too clean as it is. The Lego Cantina ($400) works as a play set for the interior and mostly works as an exterior. This set feels like different pieces without much weathering at all.
@@FanboyCantina Thanks. Here in Australia, Deluxe Cantina is $999 (AUD) and Base is $750 (AUD). I would like to back it, but the price even with current exchange rate is eye-watering.

I’m curious what people are going to do with the Tonnika sisters. Their launch video said there’s no plans on deck to release them otherwise. I assume that’s not forever, but they made a point to say that. If that’s the case, are there people out there backing two, just to have one to open and one to keep on card?
@@FanboyCantina At first I thought of getting two of these, but to me the price is so high that trying to get my money back in selling the three included figures would likely just break even for me or cause me to lose money. $1,000 is a lot right now especially in this economy. So I'll just stick to one. The Tonnika Sisters is a big deal in getting this and I will be opening them including Wuher.
It's at 7,700 right now with 4 days and some change to go. I expect it to fund sometime tonight. There's always a rush at the last day so I'm betting at least first stretch goal makes it. Not for me as I only buy Black Series.
It’s definitely looking good now, may even cross the Greedo tier. Do you have the Black Series Cantina Showdown set with part of the Cantina? I do like that one.
@FanboyCantina No. The thing is, I don't use Star Wars Black as Star Wars. I had a problem with Army Building and Star Wars Black solved that problem! I use Aliens and Stormtroopers for Thanos Army! Mandalorians for Kang Army. Battle Droids for 'Daughter of Kang'. Human Men for Kingpin Organization! Women for their own gang, the 'New' Female Furies!
I backed a standard and a deluxe. To me, this is the best best haslab to date and the ultimate display piece for my OT focused collection. I do agree with a lot of the sentiment though, Hasbro made some errors in the roll out for this: Greedo should have been included in the base price along with Wuher and the excellent Tonnika's. Labria should have been one of the unlocks.
It will get backed. I'm hoping at least Greedo gets unlocked. I've backed the base version. I don't have the money or the space to display a deluxe version.
It’s NOT worth 500. 572 with tax and shipping. Almost 600 dollars! That’s crAzY. I think 300-350 would have been more reasonable. That being said I backed the deluxe. They’re gouging us. If the economy wasn’t SO in the tank a lot more would have sold. It’s going to be a rare item since only 14,000 were sold. Those Tonika sisters will probably sell for 2-300 a pair in the aftermarket. Not to mention each extra booth could probably sell for 100 bucks a piece for those who got the base, and now want the deluxe. I hope they make a Sand Crawler, Death Star, Gauntlet Shuttle, Imperial Shuttle, and my biggest fantasy The Fandor Haulcraft next.
Besides the action figures, I can see someone making their own Cantina with found toy items (goodwill/garage sales) and with a little paint.....and making it a lot cooler for lot less money.
I agree. There are customizers like 2797 Studios and people with 3D printers that can create their own backdrops. Hasbro has even produced parts of the bar before, both in TVC and even Black Series scale. I’m sure the Tonnika sisters will go for a premium on eBay.
i dont' like that it doesnt' have a floor, and there are no pegs for figs to stand on or for tables and chairs to snap onto and i would want the cups to be magnetic so they stick to the tables and bar when you pick it up, but you can't even pick this up, it comes apart at every point, it wont' stay together, that sucks, that isn't a playset, playsets are one big piece, or two at most
If I collected Star Wars, I would back the deluxe of this. I hope it gets funded. And I'm not big into HasLab stuff. I collect Transformers. I do great deal of 3D printing. It is time consuming to make and put time of printing and painting, yes I think its worth the price tag. It may be little over but little.
Not worth the asking price. Reaching Tier #1 at this stage is unlikely. So basically, anyone shelling out 500 bones for 3 Exclusive figures is laughable. If it reached Tier 3 (6 figures) then that would be a different story. 👍🏻
LED lights would’ve been great on the Haslab, and there are photos from Hasbro where small LEDs can be used under the tables. If there was a small push button that played the Cantina theme, that would’ve made in a must for me. None of the past Star Wars Haslabs have had light or sound effects, but sound would’ve absolutely sealed the deal.
So much Money and no Light and Sound effects. I know why HasLab doesn't do that, because Women make the decisions at Haslab Marketing. Women have no place in this job. I played Star Wars with Boys in the 80s and no Girl was a Star Wars fan. Today the Women at HasLab do everything wrong. Imagine them in front of Jabba's Sailing Barge with Light & Sound and Music like in the Movie. My AT-AT from 2009 has such a great Sound Module. It can't be the price. It's the bad decision of the Women who are now in charge, see The Acoylte. With Steve Sansweet, this crap wouldn't exist today. 😔
I disagree that it’s about women. Price is a major driver. If it was $50-100 less, it would’ve been an easier sell for more collectors. The Haslab model is more explicitly for the adult collector, different from the toys of a decade ago. This is the first Haslab though that lacks the play aspect, more distinctly intended to serve as a backdrop for a display.
Thanks for the mention. #BackTheBar
