    Getting to be a Whack-a-mole" scenario. I don't use an ad blocker but we need a Secker-blocker. He bangs on about his currency trading skills but probably only money he makes is trawling for suckers for his "courses". It'll be creeping into my nightmares next. I've emailed the guy to tell him to F.O.

      From what I understand, some people who attend the first free course/webinar can be upsold to paid-for courses. His company trains people how to trade using its own software, which people have to pay for (I've read that during training, there are break-out sessions where participants have the individual attention of a trainer [definitely NOT a salesperson] who will offer the opportunity to buy software package at a Special Price); there are also ongoing costs because users pay a regular subscription to carry on using the software. It's possible that users also have to use a broker that pays Greg's company commission on every single trade they place. The software comes with a money-back guarantee/cooling off period, but some people have suggested that expires immediately you run the software! So those various sources of income may make the cost of blanket RUclips advertising worth it for Greg, regardless of the annoyance he causes to the RUclips community.

    Wow thought it was just me. I get spammed by his ads everyday. If he was so successful why would he bother trying to sell his trading software?

    I subscribed to you for this video. Relentless Greg Secker videos showing what an absolute pyramid scheme scam artist he is ... the latest advert shows an AI tool that shows him what trades to take for him and Bam, " nine days later +£135k" from clicking buy on a signal, if we all earnt that much money we wouldn't be paying for RUclips ads that's for sure. The guys a joke

    BTW you can try clicking "not interested" or "block ad" in the context menu of his ads; after about 6 months and 4-5000 clicks it seems YT's algorithm finally gets the hint 🥳

      @@robertcochrane2671 RUclips needs to to be made responsible for allowing their platform to be used for the facilitation of fraud. Until that happens they will continue to make money from these ads with no comeback.

    I've tried to block his adverts but because he has so many it's practically impossible to get rid of him. His adverts are so numeral that there was one before this video and one after. It really is a bloody joke.

    how do we get rid of this conman? how do you report ads that are fraudulent to youtube?

    • @palimpsest2011
      @palimpsest2011  4 месяца назад +1

      You can report an advert while it is playing (although not afterwards). In the bottom left-hand corner of the video screen you'll see text saying something like: Sponsored 1 of 2 - [advert duration time] then an i in a circle, then the advertiser's link. If you click the i in the circle, that will take you to "My Ad Center" where you can block the current ad - or report the ad and give your reason for objecting to it. Unfortunately one of the other commenters says that blocking the ads doesn't work! While I'm not sure how Greg can justify his statement "I don't want your money", most of the time he is advertising a free initial webinar so he's probably not breaking RUclips's rules.
