Not related but could you do a video on baby shoes my mom said we should be getting shoes baby hasn't gotten crawling yet or sitting or baby won't walk right Baby is 4 months
I agree! It makes it so hard as parents to know what to buy our little ones, when products are often marketed as beneficial when that might not be the case.
I am so thankful for this video. You are my go-to source as a first time mom. I am a part of your Brightest Beginnings program. ❤️ My five month old gets the most relief from gum massages and chewing on fabric. Both you mentioned here, and I will offer these other solutions to see if they'll also work for him. Your knowledge is a real asset to my parenting. I've sought your advice on practically everything these past five months. 😊 Wanted you to know.
Thank you so much for the valuable information. I have absolutely never heard of such a toy. It definitely isn't common in Europe. Who in their right mind considers a string with little pearls on a good idea?
Thank you so much ma'am for these amazing tip. My 3½ months old baby is already feeling the discomfort of teething and my nipples suffer for it. These soothing tips will surely help me help him. God bless you 🙏🏼
Is a water soaked knotted washcloth safe for babies under 6 months of age? Not breastfeeding so I can't do breastmilk. My pediatrician recommended camomile tea soaked washcloth because the herb is naturally anti-inflammatory apparently and apparently safe. 🤷🏼♀️
One caution I recently learned about baby using pacifier during teething is to be careful to not let them actually "teeth" on the pacifier. It poses a chocking risk if the pacifier comes a part from baby chewing on it rather sucking. Disclaimer: I am referring to a regular pacifier, not one actually meant for teething.
My baby's never even liked them. But I found a teething thing w/ the backing of a pasci, or just a handle, that's gelly, w/ just a crowning shape for her teeth. That's the term, right:/? It's just shaped for her mouth/ teeth to bite down on & it came w) the soothing gels. She actually likes that thing. It annoys me when ppl say my baby this that baby sleeps throughout the night. He/she is such a good baby. Like is that baby not human? Bc my baby is almost a yr & she still def does Not always sleep throughout the night. Also, I kind of just don't want her to start getting all that mobile. She gets into everything. So much, I'm pretty sure she knows what ohhhhh means by now. Little munchkin thinks she's sneaky till I startle her w/ my ohhhhh's. Also also I still don't know y I had a 2nd kid this late. 41 w/ a teen, & an infant is like good gah. I stare at my youngest thinking about my oldest somexs like my half way special self should've found more ugly bad boys 🤦🏻♀️ bc I'm gonna hafta go through a billion life times to deal w/ these little females of mine. I think I'm gonna start making fruit popsicles
It is really crazy how many products say that they are safe when they aren't. I am due on New Year's, the only toy I bought till now is the Oball, because you always tell all of us how amazing it is.
In a tool from 2:15, I place frozen mixed cucumber (I blended cucumber, received juice out of in and freeze it in ice cube form). It slowly melt as he eats it, as well it's in rubber so ice does not touch the skin itself. Is it ok for 8-9 months baby to eat such an ice cream? Ask to be sure, I give best for my baby ;)
Cucumbers sounds like a great remedy! If baby is not allergic and your pediatrician approves that baby can eat solids. For the rubber, id use something more durable like a towel. Also, make sure baby is not allergic to rubber and it's of course sanitized. Be aware that baby may be able to penetrate rubber with his or her bite force so there is still a risk of choking! (Again, I'd use something more durable, solid, soft, and flexible). If you want to have baby chew on it and snack at the same time, maybe place it in a self-feeder for good measure! 👍🏻
The cucumber cube sounds perfect. At 8 - 9 months of age your little one would be eating solids so this is a great way to expose your baby to the taste of cucumber and also help to alleviate the teething pain.
Hi Emma, I love your content. My sister’s baby is teething. She is crying at night and the only way to put her back to sleep is to give her breast. But she wakes up every 40min -1 hour. During the day she has 3 30-40min naps and one 2-2,5 long nap. It’s very exhausting, and my sister has no sleep. Baby is also suffering. What can be done to improve the night sleep of both?
This video couldn’t come at a better time! My baby is 5months and started teething. His canines are coming out and has been a rough week so far. A co worker of mine recommended the amber beads and told them there’s no science saying it even works and causes strangulation. They got so mad at me! I’m not going to put my baby in danger like that and I don’t care if it worked wonders for them. Honestly anything babies can chew on provides them relief 😐 I even have family members recommending i rub my baby’s gums with numbing gel OR whiskey. This blows my mind how both those methods can be dangerous.
It really depends on you and your little one. You could remove the pacifier and go cold turkey knowing that sleep will be a little disrupted as your little one learns to fall asleep without the pacifier. Or there are pacifiers now that gradually reduce the size of the pacifier, as a slow wean. Or you could try removing the pacifier for night time sleep at first as their circadian rhythm and sleep pressure is high and will help them fall asleep initially and then once they become familiar with falling asleep without the pacifier for night you can remove it during nap time (which is predominately guided by sleep pressure). Hope that helps!
My 4 month old doesn't like taking a pacifier and she keeps on sucking on her hands what can I do besides the teether and I'm not sure if she's teething either.
I’m using a lot of camillia my baby get super cranky and on edge screaming and crying … I’m thinking it may be teething because as soon as I give her the camillia it calms her
Hi Emma,am from Nigeria,my baby is 4 month old.She will be 5 month by next month, but still can't hold on to toys, teether, for too long. Can you tell me what to do?
Please please Answer my question❤❤❤❤❤❤ My son is ten moth old and he is not allowed to have a bottle😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢 He has a cleft palette and perrie Robin syndrome. He has a surgery in a month for his cleft palette repair. They gave me a regular cup to teach him 😢😢 how is this possible. I am trying but he has a hard time swallowing the food or liquid 💔any suggestions
These remedies look practical, however isn't the silicone self feeder for older babies, 6 months+ etc? I'm feeling demoralized I can't help baby with teething pain.
My MIL has run her own in-house daycare for over 30 years and swears by those amber bead necklaces. Despite the zeitgeist that you don’t give children under 3 years old toys with small plastic objects that can choke them, it’s strange that these necklaces are so widely regarded. I had to stealth-remove the necklace from my registry after she insisted on putting it on there, but I think she’s planning to get it for bubs anyway.
What if baby cries after teethers removed? I tried giving her but she started crying after sometime My baby Dr advice not to give teether as they get addicted.
It really depends on the parent and the child. If it is starting to impact sleep (so the bub is starting to wake and call out during the night for you to put the pacifier back in) and this is starting to become a problem then I would remove the pacifier at that point. But if you are happy to get up and put it back in your little one's mouth until they learn the skill to do this themselves (which they do at around 7/8 months) then you can keep using it. It honestly depends with what you are happy with.
It's hard to know something is not safe when marketing tells you the necklace is beneficial and you are looking for something which is natural and will help to alleviate your little one's teething pain.
@@EmmaHubbard true, a big hunk of amber would be safer, maybe it’s because I grew up with a lot if babies and had my mum drilling into me no little things they choke on around. So now expecting wouldn’t dream of something like this mum isn’t even letting me look at things that don’t have a kite mark
They are so dangerous, I would never use them for my baby. A lot of babies like breast milk in ice lolly molds and then frozen. Definitely a lot safer than those necklaces!

Baby is 4 months
I work with kids and have never heard of the necklace, but who in their right mind is putting jewellery on babies 🤦🏼♀️?
Of all the people that claim to know babies, Emma is the only person I truly believe. I love this woman.
❤️
It's crazy how many products out there are dangerous for babies. I make sure I watch one of your videos before buying things.

Yes, once they have teeth, it's important to stop pacifying or look for one that is meant for teething babies.

Congratulations on your pregnancy! I hope you are feeling well! The Oball is a fantastic toy!
I also recommend ARKs baby chewy! My baby loves it because it’s easy to grab and helps with oral motor skills 👏🏼
The winkel rattle is great! My 4mo LOVES it and it's wicked easy for him to grab
Best of luck, hope everything goes well! Very exciting!! Thank you for all the great advice!
What binki's do you recommend?
I'm grateful for this video thank you so much

Merkwürdig, Eckzähne kommen doch als letzte Milchzähne mit 18Monaten ?
Please, how do we know which side of baby’s tooth to message when they are in pains?
Ach du meine Güte, schauen Sie bitte selber in ihren Mund und betrachten Sie die eigenen Zähne
Can you put frozen fruit in a seven mouth old self feeder?
Hi Emma. Is it safe to give wooden teether?
I wouldn’t. I know I have had wooden spoons have pieces of the wood break off so I would be worried that would happen with the teether
Hi u mentioned pacifier used up to 6mos, any suggestions to how to quit pacifier? My little one is 10now, using pacifier when he needs sleep

Hi Emma,am from Nigeria,my baby is 4 month old.She will be 5 month by next month, but still can't hold on to toys, teether, for too long. Can you tell me what to do?
Have her evaluated by a pediatrician. It may just be nothing, but you also want to make sure that there are no motor issues.

Are frostbite bad for babies?
Can I serve my baby iced breast milk in a pacifier?
A lot of videos recommended giving them iced cubes and the likes...
😱 what are parents thinking

I hate it so much for my baby. Already in so much pain to be so little & she's breaking out in fevers. She's got little scabs all in her ears.
