I love learning and seeing what you do for naturopathic health. I prefer to stay out of medical facilities whenever possible, and OTCs have gotten so expensive it's downright robbery, so I love these tinctures. Thanks for all the info and sharing how-to's with us! ❤💚
Thanks so much, Shari! I know that there are times that we do have to go to medical facilities, but if I can stay away from them, I will try my best. I’m anxious to get this tincture done and put together and put that video up as well. Blessings my friend! 😁❤️
Thank you Terry! You are so sweet. Unfortunately others might not see it that way. 😁 Thank you for watching and for your kind words! I hope to hear from you again! 🤗 Blessings!
I’m glad you found it informative! Let me know if you try any of them and how they work for you. Thanks so much for watching and I always love hearing from you! Blessings on your week Val! 😁
Thank you so much, Carolyn. I am glad you found it useful. I feel like a newbie still as well, but just keep learning. There is so much to learn! Blessings on your family as well my sweet friend! 😁❤️
I have made several of these tinctures (elderberry, calendula) but will be making the others especially the usnea which we find up in the mountains! My hubby always gets bronchitis type symptoms several times a year and hope this will be one that really helps loosen that conjestion! Totally off the subject- I love those italian tomatoes! I made some last week and had a few zucchini slices from a lasagna I was making left. I put the italian cheese mixture on them and dehydrated them----oh my!!!! DELISH! I have more zucs than tomatoes so think Ill be making a lot of this!
That is exciting that you can just go up on the mountains and find the Usnea . I love it when we have things around us that God is provided for us to use. I hope it helps him as well! And, oh my word! Yes! That sounds amazing too. Thanks so much for trying and sharing about this victory! I can’t wait to try it. Blessings on your week sweet friend!
GREAT video!!! Thanks for so much info - job well done. The usnea can be mistaken with spanish moss that grows on trees, also. The one way to identify it positively is to hold a strand between your fingers and SLOWLY pull it apart. You will notice a white stretchy band in the center which is a form of latex and is not found in spanish moss. I'm so glad you showed this in your tutorial as it is the BEST and fastest working cough medicine I've ever found . It is free after most storms when it falls and with a possible hurricane coming this next week, I'll go get my Everclear now to be ready for my harvest. Mine is from 2019 and I surely need more - I end up giving it away to so many people that found it helped them. I've run out of brown bottles so I need to order that also. Thanks for your info and for the reminder to stock up now for usnea season. Folk medicine called Lungs of the Woods. If I get a windfall, I'll be sure to send you some fresh from the trees.
Thanks so much, Mary! I am very jealous of your Usnea drenched trees! Some fresh would be great, but not at your expense from a terrible storm! I will be praying for your safety! I wondered if I could use Everclear with the Usnea but I just used the 80 proof for now. If I feel like it’s not doing the job I’ll just have to make some more with ever-clear! I am glad to hear from another trusted user that it is amazing! Blessings through the weather coming your way, sweet friend! ❤️🙏
@@OpenHandFarm After seeing your video I remembered my first time making it. The directions were for Everclear or very high proof Vodka. I chose the vodka and it worked great. I just never saw anyone use everclear and was thinking that my next batch I would use what you said. LOL We are copy catting each other!

You ARE an herbalist. You do NOT need a certificate in order to be an herbalist.
Thank you for sharing your experience and knowledge with us.
