I've never had a day's problem with my Lexus. But, they drove me away with that grill. It's a deal breaker and I'm tired of waiting. I test drove the MKX today, and it was fantastic! Great acceleration, fantastic seats and what do you want a dash to do? "Less is more" with design lines, which Lexus should go back to. As a brand with poor name recognition and a recent history of poor, uncompetitive products, I think that Lincoln should be aiming to build budget-friendly yet quality vehicles... not trying to compete with the best of them at absurd prices. This vehicle is going to be an absolute flop at $63,000. It's easily 10k or even 15k too expensive over where it needs to compete.
Waaaay overpriced! 61k new, worth 30k(or less) in 3 years..no value proposition here..Sorry ford-lincoln-uaw, I won't be buying... There are just too many SUPerior imported European models at the same price point..
Another piece of crap from Detroit. Who is making the decisions on these products? They really need to clean house at Lincoln design and fire them all. And +60k?!?. RUnuts? No where near an RX in terms of interior design aesthetics. You hop into an RX and you can justify the cost. Not this example. Lincoln can do better.
IF you can stomach that ugly grill on the current Lexus. I say this as an '08 GS350 driver, who has waited and waited and waited for them to come up with a better grill. Tired of waiting. Looking to buy the MKX, which I drove today and loved! Beautiful, great drive, peppy, awesome seats.....very accommodating and I felt lavished in luxury. I don't get all the criticism here. It's a beautiful car with great amenities. Lexus drove me to this change with their ridiculous grills.
+Lisa Wood Congrats on your purchase! As I am a current 2011 CT200H owner, I want an American made equivalent and the last LINCOLN hybrid sedan I test drove didn't give me nowhere near the sense of fit and finish. I did admire the touch controls for climate control and the power was good and all but...that was a couple of years ago. Maybe I'll revisit the dealer again in August when my lease is up.
Thank you, Vincent! I can appreciate that, Vincent. But, I feel good about the MKX with AWD and the 2.7 ecoboost. I'm wanting an all purpose vehicle with enough comfort, pep and some utility function if I need it, meaning ...cargo space for occasions. The first MKX I drove wasn't the Ecoboost engine and it was very sluggish and disappointing. But, I was impressed with the 2.7 Ecoboost. I've looked at all my choices and narrowed it down to this one. I do wish it looked a bit more sporty, but no doubt it's a good looking vehicle. I love the look of the Jaguar F-Pace, but read on forums how owners are already complaining about some things, not to mention that it's 80% aluminum, costing more to repair, therefore hiking insurance up and like you, I have wanted to find a product from an American motor company. Anyway, on the plus side, my neighbor's son-in-law works for Ford corporate in Detroit and was down visiting. He offered me their "X Plan" (roughly 10%) discount, to go with a rebate deal of $2250, which together will compensate the first year of depreciation. So, I can't lose on that deal and I really did like the vehicle. Haven't ordered yet. Undecided about the wheels. I hear that while 20" wheels look good, they don't ride as well and are bad for getting your rims damaged at curbs. If anybody is going to hit a curb, it will be me. A simple pot hole could be bad on low profile tires. So,...much as I would love the look of the 20",....thinking I will go 18". I'm a sucker for a smooth ride on my 6 hour trips to see my mom. Go drive the 2.7 AWD and let me know what you think.
Lincoln is ripping people off. Exterior looks nice but interior is average or below. I had to check this SUV out since I just saw it on the road. Way overpriced!
Well, I wouldn't say that. Having driven Lexus GS's for 10 years, with absolutely NO failures of any part of them, I know they're great cars. I just hate that they lost their minds with the use of the ugliest grills ever.

This vehicle is going to be an absolute flop at $63,000. It's easily 10k or even 15k too expensive over where it needs to compete.
The push button transmission first appeared on 1957 Chrysler products and later that year on the new Edsel. Nothing innovative here!
I suggest you watch it again, starting at 1:10.
Actually, it's you that is having difficulty understanding.
He meant something new for Lincoln he didn't mean something new for the market

Actually this isn't new to Lincoln. They first showed it at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show and it was in production the following year.
The one they tested is only that expensive because it was a Black Label! Normally they aren't even close to that! Maybe low 40's.
ok
man the interior is dull...
$61k..for what is basically a Ford Edge. No, just no.
Yeah its what audi does with volkswagen
+Mulkyan You mean what Volkswagen does with Audi since they own them.
Goof luck competing with the Lexus RX.

*Those are UGLY*
That's your opinion, RX will still outsell Lincoln. I see a lot of RX on the street, MKX maybe one onece in a blue moon.
+manifest 73 That's what all the gray hairs drive... Lexus....
The gear is so obnoxious.
Waaaay overpriced! 61k new, worth 30k(or less) in 3 years..no value proposition here..Sorry ford-lincoln-uaw, I won't be buying... There are just too many SUPerior imported European models at the same price point..
Faulty vehicle!
Bruzek kup se wózek.
Lexus IS way over rated..
Well, I wouldn't say that. Having driven Lexus GS's for 10 years, with absolutely NO failures of any part of them, I know they're great cars. I just hate that they lost their minds with the use of the ugliest grills ever.
Out dated interior
