Beautiful car and very nice video. In the '80-'90 I owned a 1978 XJ6 series 2 exactly like this one. Sadly it broke down shortly after its purchase. Obviously, it was in a very neglected state. I overhauled the engine aided by a helpful neighbor, and had lots of fun driving it on a road trip through Europe, driving from the Netherlands to Vienna (Austria) and to Rome, and then back to the Netherlands via Switzerland, thereby crossing the Alps twice. Many years later I had the opportunity to buy a 1987 series 3 XJ12, the twelve cylinder version redesigned by Pininfarina. Having learned from my previous experience, this time I bought a well maintained example. I drove it from France to the Netherlands and on a road trip in the UK. Its all about wafting along in these cars with a big smile on your face. Thanks for this nice video that made me go back in time.

I feel so sad that these beauty's are no longer produced, and the new ones might as well be vauxhalls( not that I have anything against vauxhalls, but new cars are that generic shape) if I was a bond villain, i would start producing these again, and if anyone came knocKing with a writ, then I'd feed them to the piranhas. These old cars were unique

The question is if from 2030 all combustion engines and a little later also the trade with them will be banned...is that still a viable business model? From 2025, the Greens want to thin out the gas station network and see only one gas station per city or district... there are even discussions at the moment to throttle the gas stations that still exist and to reduce the pumps in the dispensing speed from 20 liters per minute to only 2 liters per minute so that drivers fill up less or are punished by standing there forever with the fuel nozzle in their hands. In the USA, this nonsense is currently being implemented in California...!!!
