I got all the way to the palms. They are looking great and I'm feeling good that I can do this. I struggled a bit but found my way back. I'm sure that when videos with colors are uploaded they lose some of its colors in the compression of files and the things that happen when uploading files to youtube. Even when I punched in the same color codes it was not exactly like this one but it was close enough and I got to experiment with my own shades. Thanks for the upload.

For every line you've done into the sun, your PS is creating a new Layer (Shape 1-8). Mine does not (CC 19.1.6.) drawed all my lines with the line tool and shift, but as it comes to the part to select them with Cntrl+Shift, theres nothing for me to select, only got this 3 layers. started with selecting the colored texture layer and did the same just like you. Is there a hidden button, where i can switch on that automaticly every-shape-a-new-layer-Option?

Find a stock photo where you have sky behind the trees and convert to black and white and blast the contrast out of it and copy it over and change the color.
Nice tutorial. But you are too fast and beside that, they are some area that's not clear enough. Where you introduce Wave and the rest is not clear. I find it difficult to understand it.
I know you mean good by plugging in your book and subscriptions but it's really annoying when you do it mid tutorial. Please don't. The tutorial helped a lot. Thanks. :)

21:36 FYI: I went the opposite way. I increased to 1.7 and that created the fuzziness. Initially my Gaussian blur dialog box was set at 1.

Why does my sun disappear when I fill it with black?
my sun keeps disappearing once I set the fill to black. Does anybody know what is happening and can explain it
I had the same problem but when you press CTRL + SHIFT, make sure you select the ICONS of the shapes! Should work fine
