Even though this is from 5 years ago, this is the best tutorial I have ever seen. I am an old school gamer who is starting with this kind of games. I like them. However, sometimes I get lost with some many things to do. Here this guy broke down everything to make this game enjoyable. Gracias amigo. Tienes un nuevo suscriptor!!!
Just finished the game yesterday and got my platinum trophy aswell. Imo the holy trinity of perks are silent strike, lure call and knock down. These three perks essentially make the game cheese. I would also recommend for anyone who likes or wants to use the ropecaster to stack a bunch of handling mods on it as u will be able to span the ropes very quickly. Great guide btw Mesa!
You and me both! Got this game for Christmas and just started today. I thought I would go online and buy a strategy guidebook, since I love having the books on hand and the prices are outta control! So here I am on good 'ol RUclips to see what's up. I had no idea what the game was about, I had only heard from people that it was good, but never got around to playing it.
This is so helpful. Played 8 hours of this game when I bought it first and stopped playing for a couple of months, so it's a good way to remember the mechanics
Me too man! I never was interested in it when it first dropped - looked boring. But recently, starting wit GoW a couple years ago, I've been broadening my _Horizon_ (oh wow. No pun intended, lol. 😅) wit more video games. Stepping out of my comfort zone. Turns out, I absolutely LOVED GoW & I'm good at it too. Lol, who knew? Beat the Valkyries & Queen Valk, 100% the game and all that! So now, since Horizon was free for us PS+ members, I kept it in my back pocket till I had time to play - which is now. Ik I'm gonna love this game. So much so, that I bought Forbidden West without even playing Zero Dawn yet! Haha 😄 I'm gonna play in order tho. - Zero Dawn - The Frozen Wilds (DLC) - Forbidden West I'm so hyped, can't wait to get started this weekend! 🙌🏾

Intro guides like this are EXTREMELY helpful because folks like yourself get straight to the point, and don't offer a a brown noser opinion. May the All Mother bless your channel in the days to follow, and may your narrated vid-scrolls illuminate all others!
Hello, i'm about to start this too and have it already installed. Just hesitating cause i might make mistakes. Any tips or guides you could recommend for someone who never played HZD before?
Get ready for a gameplay and story rich and beautiful game also start on normal experience the game with its story elements and game play elements also check merchants oftenly buy weapons and also be careful when putting modifications in weapon slots since you if you remove them they are lost for ever and do the side quests also check all the skills you can get when you start the game
I fell in loved when this game first came out on 2017 (I think?) but I don't have any way to play it. I didn't have a PC. Never even knew this game isn't available on PC that time (correct me if I'm wrong). I thought to myself, "Someday, I'm gonna have my own PC and I will play this game." Fast forward this 2022, I got my $2000 pc and this is the first game I immediately bought.
Thanks man! I'm new to playstation and this helped alot. I've been on xbox for years and didn't realize I was missing out on all these A+ single player titles. 👍🎮🤓
I'm getting Horizon Zero Dawn for myself soon, and I can't wait. This guide will really help out, so I'll keep it tabbed :-). I'm going to try to make my char more stealthy than just pure offence, like shot, move to a dif area etc etc.
A friend just gifted me her old PS4, so I was finally able to dive into Horizon Zero Dawn last night. Thanks for this super helpful tutorial video, bonus points for no spoilers! Loving this game so far, and have Forbidden West waiting in the wings. New subscriber here!
Only think I'd have added would be to maybe whistle to attract smaller enemies to stealth kill instead of wasting your ropecaster ammo. Great video tho!
Just started playing this today after it being in my backlog forever! Brilliantly made video, just watched a bunch and this was the best, deffo earned a sub from me!
Just started playing this weekend.. the story really is intriguing i havent been addicted in an rpg probably since fable 1.. i played a lot of rpg before but it just didnt do it for me.. witcher 3, dragonage, fallout
I'm blown away that you weren't moved by the The Witcher 3. One of my favorite RPG's ever! I definitely think Fable 1 was one of the most life changing games I've ever played though. Idk if you know this but a new studio is working on a fable game :)
Uncommon mod on a wpn is better than empty spot; fill 'em up man. You don't need Tinker right away, get a mod you like better, put it on, it overwrites the existing and discards the old. Tinker is only if you put a mod on but change your mind, it lets you take it back off and keep to put somewhere else...like a very rare one.
Same for me. I haven’t played the game in like 3 years or so. I wasn’t even sure I had save data still from where I left off. Was completely clueless when I got on it last night. lol I’m not far but I didn’t wnna restart, so I’m glad it was this easy to get refreshed on the game. I’ve probably used RUclips just as much as anything else to figure all sorts of shit out over the years. 🤣

Just two thing I would add/change. Mod the weapons and clothes but save the best mods for the better stuff if you dont have tinker. You can put a new mod on an existing mod but you loose the old one without tinker. So you can make your stuff better even if you dont have th best mods. And regarding quests you could have mentioned that the tutorials have to be active when you do them. You can do different quests even if you have a different quest activated but the tutorials dont get progress unless they are the active quest. At least thats the case for me.
Ah, nice. Got this on steam last week and am finally getting around to actually playing it. The upgrade stuff was kind of confusing 'cause I wasn't paying attention and where I am in the game right now (just the start) I'm not sure if they actually gave an explanation for it yet. Question. Does using Tearblast arrows or other types of arrows to knock off components do the same thing? Can you still collect these components after the battle? I've seen other players knocking off components from things like Corruptors using Hardpoint arrows and still being able to collect those components after the fight. So what's the benefit of using these Harvest arrows over other arrows then?
And of course there's gonna be guns in the game, it's a machine game he's just explaining that you can take them off Sorry if I sound harsh I'm really not lol
So where it has a certain level for each quest is it the required level to take on each quest or is it more of a suggested level like some other RPGs have like the newer Assassin's Creed games

I've seen other players knocking off components from things like Corruptors using Hardpoint arrows and still being able to collect those components after the fight. So what's the benefit of using these Harvest arrows over other arrows then?
Harvest arrows allow you to knock the components off from the dead (machine) body just incase you didnt knock them off during the fight
Also you can use harvest arrows to get more of (assuming ) chillwater from shooting it of the lance horn back
