Then the movie came out, and turns out they were the *best* thing in the movie! This is such a beautiful tribute to Rocket. He's got so much heart buried underneath all his "I don't care" attitude. He's been my favorite since I first saw the first Guardians of the Galaxy. Over the years as we've seen him grow as a character it just pushed him farther up my list from the rest of the characters in my eyes. I know it's not likely to happen but I would love to see a movie where they do like an origin story just about Rocket.

Rocket is one of my favorites. Not only his humor, but the fact that he has stayed so strong throughout the entire time. He never found out where he came from, only to be an experiment in the beginning. He made friends with Groot, his best friend, who would later sacrifice his life for Rocket and his friends. He would come back and then disappear with the rest of his friends, one of them thrown off a cliff by her father. Rocket didn’t have anyone besides Nebula, who he didn’t really like in the beginning, for five years. And now that they’re back, he’s still moving on with life.

And yes there is the writing, animation, editing, etc., but Cooper's voice talent is at least as important as all that other in portraying the sheer pain of the little guy. Rocket's backstory arc goes from the soul of innocence, a sweet, tiny woodland creature unencumbered by the demands of genius, technology, conflict and evolved society, into someone who considers himself an ugly, tortured freak of nature, unloved and unlovely in any sense, producing an animus for all other beings, second only to his towering intellect. His unlooked-for discovery of 'family' in the depths of his self-loathing and pain is one of the sweeter aspects of the story, and Cooper's accessing of that emotion in delivering those lines, brings it down to a gut level for a grateful audience.
When I was a kid, I always loved Raccoons, and thought that what if there was a Raccoon with a machine gun, that can talk, and saves lives, my wish came true when Marvel introduced me to Rocket, my all time favorite Guardian, I cried when I watched this honestly

We all lose someone that was so special to us that we cared about so much it leaves a hole inside of your heart that you try to cover up and hide, some of us act fine and happy others act mean and cold. But those kind of people, people like me were the most broken of them all, because we lost that one person that keeps us sane and happy.

This is why I love the marvel universe. Because this character could’ve just been thought out as some cold character who can make you laugh a bit but has no real purpose. But they gave him this intense story and in the scene where yondu is talking to him is one of the most impactful marvel scenes. Rocket is not just a funny character he has dimensions and breaks down but puts on this cold front to the world. He is truly one of the best marvel characters there is and I will stand by that.
I love how even the villains usually have a back story as to why they're so evil and not just portrayed as some evil person. I also love how all the superheroes and supervillains are all half human.☺☺

This was so well done! Glad to see someone made a video showing a different side to Rocket.
I love Rocket.
So much pain; so much loss....yet he keeps going.
He keeps his emotions hidden so no one will know he cares.
He keeps spouting sarcasm so no will know how he really feels.
He acts more human than most humans.
He's more human than most of the two-legged creatures that pass as human.
And I love him.
Seriously the most gut-wrenching video I've seen this entire year. I wanted to say I never clicked the subscribe button so quickly, but that's not true. I had to cry out first :'(
it took Yondu's strong words to make Rocket realize that he needed to put his past behind him. & that his friends, the other Guardians were the best thing to happen in his life.
Bradley cooper did a great job. His voice fits perfect for rocket.
but he doesnt get enough credit.
and also his character development is so gud(most of the guardians should say)

Honestly I relate to this character whole dynamics his way of insulting people and acting all tough but then showing off all your insecurities and how damaged you are and no one understanding you and your past and then pushing away someone who’s actually good for you cause you just can’t accept that type of happiness

The last few seconds literally made my chest ache--you did an amazing job of choosing which clips to display at what time to get the grandest emotional effect. We all lose someone that was so special to us that we cared about so much it leaves a hole inside of your heart that you try to cover up and hide, some of us act fine and happy others act mean and cold. But those kind of people, people like me were the most broken of them all, because we lost that one person that keeps us sane and happy.

This is why I love the marvel universe. Because this character could’ve just been thought out as some cold character who can make you laugh a bit but has no real purpose. But they gave him this intense story and in the scene where yondu is talking to him is one of the most impactful marvel scenes. Rocket is not just a funny character he has dimensions and breaks down but puts on this cold front to the world. He is truly one of the best marvel characters there is and I will stand by that.
I love how even the villains usually have a back story as to why they're so evil and not just portrayed as some evil person. I also love how all the superheroes and supervillains are all half human.☺☺

I finally understand what he ment when he said he stole batteries he didn't need. Was saying was he didn't need them but he wanted them. Meaning the guardians was he's batteries.💓
