1. You can easily change the instrument cluster from Japanese to English
2. Likewise with the main language on the COMAND
3. The COMAND units underlying language, however, remains Japanese, which show on some of the more specific menus (NAVI, Browser, etc). As far as I understand, there is no software fix for that
4. Your Linguatronic is also in Japanese, so in order to use voice control, you will have to learn the key japanese commands (if anyone has a list of these, I am definitly interested!!) OR replace the unit. As far as I understand, there is no software fix for that
Also note that the phone connection is specific to a Japanese phone (which is a different system from GSM/3G), so will need to be replaced - I still havent been able to do this

This function allows you to determine the language for the menu displays and the navigation messages. The selected language affects the characters available for entry.
When you set the system language, the language of the Voice Control System will change accordingly. If the selected language is not supported by the Voice Control System, "English" will be selected.
