Your video explanation convinced me to try out your method in my new case Corsair AIO upgrade. I have installed a Corsair Hydro iCue H150i LCD CPU cooler with three radiator and three front fans connected to the Commander Core which came with the AIO. As you suggested, I purchased an additional Commander Core XT to control two more fans for exhaust. Additionally, I installed a full Lian Li 24 pin MB and 3x8 pin GPU Strimers connected to the its own controller. I then used the adapter cable you recommended to connect the Strimer Plus RGB to the RGB socket of the Core XT. After following your setup method, it all came together and I now have a fully iCue integrated and controlled lighting system! All the fans have been named and cooling linked to the CPU and case temperature. Immensely pleased with the result. Thank you so much. Simon East Sussex, UK

i have the corsair iCUE commander CORE and I have 4 fans on a hub that came with one of my 3 packs of QL120's. Out of my 10 fans 6 are directly plugged into the commander core, while the other 4 are in on the hub that is plugged into the daisy chained USB plug in on the commander core. then the core is plugged into the MB. With this the hub and the 4 fans daisy chained to the core light up RGB cycle but are not detected by the corsair iCUE software so I have no control over the fans in terms of RGB. PWR I have used wire splitters on the power side and that is how I can control the speed to all the fans no problem. Any help please. Why does the QL 120s come with a RGB hub if it doesn't work with the commander core why does the commander core have a daisy male USB seemingly so it can connect to a RGB hub? I feel like how I set it up makes sense and is why that extra USB is there seems like they are useless or I am doing something wrong. If I need to get another commander core then where do I plug that into the MB. I only have 2 plugins to the MB and 1 has the NZXT AIO and the other is the commander core. I don't know how I can get all 10 fans on the same controller.
You saved my sanity. I'm a newbie to PC gaming and building. I changed all my fans out to LL120+140 for top, and i know i did it right but it would not read in the Icue app. Just as you said, i had the older 3.0 version of Icue and i tried updating it from the app, would not work. Then went to website like you said and boom, i now see my Commander Core XT. You THE MAN!

Was searching for some info on using icue before doing my install. You video was excellent and really appreciate you taking the time to just give some info especially with the software.
That's a fantastic and detailed overview of the Corsair IQ Commander Core XT! Thank you for taking the time to explain all the features and connections. It's really helpful for those of us who are considering using this controller. I have a question regarding the temperature probes. You mentioned that they should be placed in the case to measure ambient air temperature. Could you share any insights or recommendations on the best locations to place these probes for accurate temperature monitoring? Also, have you noticed any significant improvements in fan control and system cooling by using these temperature-based fan curves? Thanks again for sharing your knowledge and experience with the Commander Core XT!
From what I understand, you can tape the temp sensors to pretty much anything that is in your case, maybe by the front fans, or the exhaust fans, back the case, right on the inside of the I/O panel where the fans are exhausting. Or if you have a custom loop like I do. Even easier, I plugged in a temp sensor for my CPU block and one for my GPU block. Two separate Core XT and one more to control my front fans. Hope that helps?
Absolutely appreciated the in depth coverage, explanation and guide! Really enjoyed the quality of this video, liked and subscribed! I did just add 2 new SP120 and SP140 fans to my commander, but they aren't showing up in icue despite updating it to the latest version and moving the connections 1 port down. Will try some troubleshooting tomorrow and hopefully I figure it out!
Thanks for the support and feedback @vipergod2000!!! The SP120 and SP140 should be detected as 8 LED fans without too much trouble. I have on a couple of occasions had to disconnect everything and run through the wizard to let it detect nothing and then connect everything and do it again. If that fails, power off your pc, try physically removing the sata power to the controller, wait a minute and connect it back up. I've had to do that a couple times as well. Let me know what you find on it!!! Good luck and have fun! Thanks again!!
You were right! Ran the wizard again and everything showed up, in good order, despite being 1 port down everything was seamless. You're awesome! Thanks a tonne and all the best! 😊
This system is bat shit simple to understand, but with the use of this video and how you explained it to us using tags, helped me out allot with all the cords that fans give out Rgb, power so on thanks.
Hi EeveeGamin, The core XT will connect to a 9 pin USB header on your motherboard. USB 3.0 headers will be 19/20 pins and this won't connect to that, however I think they make some adapters, but I haven't tested that. This will work fine on the usb 2.0 9 pin header. Thanks for watching!!!
Brother you did an amazing job and I fall in love with this device. It simplifies a ton of work for me and I was looking for something like this. Thanks for the review
I'm building a 2 system / 1 case build in a 1000D. I'm planning on running the PWM controls from the main PC and the icue RGB controls from the secondary PC.
A bit confused I thought the SP corsair fans aren’t compatible with the Commander Core XT cuz I was thinking about getting the SP120’s with the Commander Core XT.
My commander core came with my Corsair water cooler. It’s doesn’t have the rgb on the end. Only the 6 fan and 6 rgb on the other side I have 5 fans. I want to add a Corsair RBG led light strip. Can I add it where the last fan would fit?
On the commander core box it shows 'temp' at the bottom with a 2 pin port. On my motherboard the only port match is JPOWERLED1, next to JRAINBOW1. There seems to be no 2 pin cable to connect to the former. I know my motherboard doesn't play well with any corsair products, so is the 2 pin necessary to use?
Just an fyi and it says on the website too, SP120/140 fans are not supported for the core xt. The only way I've found them to run is to keep icue running.
@@HardwareArtisan Best vid for explaining I have seen. Even the Corsair vids on how to set these up is not as good as this vid...LOL I made the switch from the Pro to the XT and never looked back.
Great vid! I think because of your vid I went to the commander core XT. I went with 3, one for the front fans (4), one for my EK P480mm rad Fans (4), along with a temp sensor. The last one for my EK P360mm rad with a temp sensor to monitor my temps on my Red Devil 7900 xtx.
how do i sync my mother board with my corsair commader core xt ?? i have a ASUS z790-A wifi i need to use my aura sync or my icue to control all of the lighting
I recently built my first pc using the commander core xt. In my bios it’s not showing any fans in the Qfan control. Not sure how to get them to show up
Can this controller be used for any brand of RGB fan? I have six...three on a Deep Cool AIO and three on the front panel. The three on the front panel are Phanteks.
I cant get my comander core xt to show up I have tried version 4 and 5 of icue, it sees the ram along with the pump in both and with the two new fans in the mural in version 4, but if I update to version 5 then 2 of my fans stop showing in the mural (these 2 are case fans and not part of the pump) I have checked all conections and all are properly seated the only thing I have not done is try another usb header as I really dont feel comfortable poking about inside my case to much, I was barely abel to put in the 2 new case fans myself without a panic attack. is this probly a case of me needing to swap which usb thing the comander xt is pluged into or is it a faulty part ?
Apparently the ID port connects to the new Corsair 5000T case for its ID so that the Commander Core XT can tell iCUE how to configure its self to support that case (chassis lighting etc).
Hi Scott Stevenson, thank you for bringing that information to us! That's awesome! I can see they have the ID port connected, but a quick glance of the 5000T user manual doesn't give any detail on what actually connects to it. Do you know what device actually connects to it? I'm sure it's just an ID chip of some sort, I wonder if it's the little RGB hub sitting next to it. I'm curious.... Thanks for watching!!!!
Thank you so much, was getting very confused with all the icue controller hub's and not been able to mix different Corsair SP ,ML, LL fans on one controller? This controller is the one I need, was getting very confused with the command controller pro and the XT version? Haven't been following PC building for a few years and planning on a new custom build with SP, ML RGB and H100i platinum XT cooler. Would be good if Corsair would put more information around these products and compatibility, indepth connectivity as you have shown,Great video 👍.
Hi there, i do have question can you use lets say 3 to 1 splitter cable and plug it to number one on COMANDER CORE XT? therefor control speed of 3 fans with one setting ? My point is I do have 7 fans in my new build and do not want to buy expensive unit just for one fan. Thank you for any tip.
Hi luisvidal4238, I never did see an exact spec sheet for the COREXT, corsair referred me back to information that led me to believe it was the same as the Commander PRO, so that's how I treat it, same specs. Thanks for watching!!
Hi valpro2000, great question. I believe the 570x has a 6 port RGB hub and uses a little 3 button remote in the case to control the rgb lighting. This RGB HUB will work with the CORE XT, you would plug plug it into the RGB port on the CORE XT and configure fans using the 3 pin lighting setup in icue. You will need the cable to connect the hub to the controller....i'm not sure if the 570x used that patch cable or if the remote was hardwired to it. The cable you need is just a corsair 3pin rgb to 3pin rgb cable. You certainly could get it from corsair if you dont have it. The CORE XT won't come with it. (but you might already have it) The CORE XT does replace that hub as well though, so if you only have 6 fans, you could get rid of the remote and the hub and just use the CORE XT, it has a 6 port rgb hub built in and the PWM connections as well. I hope that helps, thanks for watching!!!!
I have mine wired this way however the "presets" don't engage, have to select the modes manually for each fan and Zero RPM doesn't work at all - the other modes do however.
Pls need help , building my first PC, ryzen 9 prossesor case corsair 5000x, cooler icue h150i elite 360 aio(no RGB on the fans, no node) . Want to instal 6 total intake (3fwd came with the case + set of 3 sp120 bought extra ) and 4 exhaust (3 from the cooler top side and 1 rear) is it a good plan ? Do I actually need a commander pro or xt or is it possible with the cases controller and rgb node?
So does the CORE XT need to be connected to the Commander PRO instead of the mobo connection ??? because I cant get XT to see the fans at all. they are spinning but icue does NOT see the fans at all , and ive tried to troubleshoot to no avail...i guess I need the the Pro with the XT ???
WHY DID YOU CONNECT THE CM xt to the CM pro 8:56 ??? but in the video you let us think you connected it to the MoBo??? IS THE CM PRO needed with the XT??? Im having a problem with my CM XT not seeing the fans when i run the wizard...iCUE sees the XT no problem fans spin no problem BUT no fan control or RGB control...HELP
Hi EL MarTiLLo, that's a great question. The CM PRO is not needed. I simply connected it to the CM PRO in the video to prove that it would work and because it was more practical while demonstrating it in the video. It will work fine going directly to your motherboard. The fact that icue sees the CM xt and powers the fans is a good thing. I'm assuming your fans are connected to the 4 pin rgb connections and not on a hub using the 3 pin connection. I would try the following to try and gain control. 1. Remove all the fans from the CM xt and then run the wizard. Let it finish, then reboot. (after a reboot, retry the setup) 2. If it's still not working, try one fan at a time in different ports. 3. Try only plugging in one RGB connection, and don't plug in any fan pwm connections, just to rule out some sort of power draw issue on the controller. 4. if that works, try adding fans one at a time. 5. Make sure icue is at the latest version. 6. If it still won't work, I would try removing ALL usb devices except mouse/keyboard and retry. 7. uninstall icue, reboot, reinstall and retry. 8. Try another PC if you have one 9. Make sure your USB drivers are up to date, try updating your chipset drivers for your motherboard. But since the controller is recognized, i highly doubt this is an issue. After that, capture the logs from icue and contact corsair, perhaps there is an issue with the controller. Good luck and thanks for watching!!!
@@HardwareArtisan thank you for the help... I'm thinking it's because I updated to windows 11... Tried everything you suggested, I read all the boards on this subject I could find... But still no RGB or Fan control in icue... I'm pretty sure it's because of windows 11...🤔
I have 10 AR120 fans in my build, and used 2 Commander Core XTs but icue doesn't detect them? I installed the latest software but still nothing. Armoury Crate was also installed but same thing, can't change any rgb. Can anyone help?
hi could you do a video on the icue 7000x rgb tower case as im having trouble in icue software as it not showing the fan but the fans are running and rgb at corsair set setting i may of missed a wire out i don't know but if you could help that would be great also in the icue software it is showing my card cooling and cpu
Hi Amateur-God, great question, there are several SP fans available from corsair. The Air Series SP120 LED fans would not be compatable with the CORE XT RGB control. The others, however, I believe all have the 4 pin RGB connector and will work fine with the CORE XT. I have a set of SP120 RGB elite fans and they work well with the core XT. The amazon pic describes these as not support on the automatic detection. I don't recall having any issues with that, i'll have to revisit that subject. But, they should work just fine. Thanks for watching!!!
@@jimmiereese193 Corsair has made this a bit confusing. The SP120 elite and SP120 rgb pro fans will work with the CORE XT by itself. There is an older SP120 fan (non elite or pro) that won't work, I've never had any of those.. If you have the pro or elite, they will connect and be detected as the 8 LED fans. I just tested this to the core XT, works great.
Hi Gavin McDaniel, you should have no issues placing this controller on the metal tray behind the motherboard, it's designed to be placed there. I wouldn't stick this on a HDD, but aside from that, it should be good. Even then, these magnets are too weak to affect anything. I've had these in my pc along with other magnetically attached devices and haven't had any issues. Great Question! Thanks for watching! Have Fun!!
So i bought those rgb Corsair fans that come with the rgb node thing, but my mother board doesn’t have enough sys fans headers so i need a hub , so i don’t need the stuff that comes with the fans anymore ?
Hi HashHead, that is correct. If you purchase a core XT it gives you the pwm connections in addition to all the RGB connections. It’s a great solution as it gives you speed control within icue. You could choose an inexpensive pwm hub and still use the node code, but then you can’t use icue to control fan speed. So the COREXT is a great solution. Great question, thanks for watching!!
Hi stanjd, the corsair 4 pin connector, which is a molex connector is really only designed for corsair fans. However, check out this video on an adapter cable to adapt these ports to use with the 'standard' 3 pin 5v ARGB: ruclips.net/video/w2Pt86_qUYc/видео.html I'm not exactly sure what you mean by a regular 4 pin ARGB fan, 4 pin usually means it's 12v RGB which won't work here, or you could mean 4pin PWM (power and speed control), any 4 pin PWM fan will work on this hub with no problem. Good Luck, have fun and thanks for watching!!!
Hi Marlin Koch, you can get iCUE to give you some control over non corsair RGB, you have to use an adapter cable to get 'normal' 3 pin argb into the corsair rgb plug, check out this video for more info: ruclips.net/video/JgLUDe1yzYw/видео.html - How to get all your RGB working with CORSAIR iCUE - Tutorial Thanks for watching!!! Have Fun!!!
Hi AG T, I'm assuming you are referring to the RGB Fan Hub that comes with the LL120 fan kits for example. This RGB HUB connects to the 3 pin RGB port using a cable. You then configure the CORE XT's 3 pin RGB port. This hub is still supported, it doesn't show up in icue though, you configure it through the 3 pin lighting settings as mentioned. You also have to populate it in order starting from port 1. Let me know if that isn't what you were referring to. Thanks for watching!!!
I have the Commander Core (non XT) plugged in with 4 fans, they light up but I don’t see any RGB or fan speed control in Icue. Is it just an RGB splitter hub ?
Hi Robert Weeks, You should see the Commander CORE in iCUE and be able to fully control the RGB and the fan speed using all the same software tools as the CORE XT. If you don't see it, something is wrong. It's not just a hub. I would try all the following steps: Ensure the USB cable is connected to a motherboard header, i'd reseat it and try another one if possible. I'd also try another SATA power connector just to rule out any power issues. If you have a USB hub, try eliminating that by connecting directly to your motherboard. And....vice versa, if your using a motherboard header and it just won't detect, try a powered USB HUB if you have one. Ensure you have the latest iCUE version, version 4.x Uninstall any Version 3 software and reinstall version 4 If you still don't see it: Make sure your motherboard chipset drivers are up do date and resolve any problems you see in device manager. Try removing all USB devices and then try it, if it were to work, i'd then readd usb devices one at a time. Beyond that, i'd capture the logs and open a ticket with Corsair. Could be a defective device, but I would check with them as they may be aware of issues regarding your specific hardware. I've had the devices be a little flaky from time to time, usually just reseating the usb connection or rebooting fixed it. Good luck, I hope that helps, let me know how it works out. As always, thanks for watching!!!
Hi There. Great Video. My Setup is 11 Fans on a 7000D. £ af140 at the front, 1 at the rear. A H170I LCD with 3 AF140 fans. Finally 4 Af120 in the side Panel. The AIO comes with a commander core and I have 2 Commander Core XT's available. The case also comes with a 6 FAN Repeater HUB. My question is: If I remove the FAN Hub and run the Fans from the Commander core and the XT will they start running at boot up?
Hi Swamp_Banana, I haven't tried that, but that should work ok, I don't see any reason why it wouldn't. However, by doing that, the USB pigtail on the CORE XT will not work, it would require a proper 9 pin USB connection to enable that pigtal. I would suggest if you can, to skip the adapter cable and buy an internal powered USB Hub to make these connections. I personally like the one from NZXT. Good Luck and Have Fun, thanks for the support!
@@HardwareArtisan ok good call. I've currently got it hooked up with an adapter but it only powers the RGB and not the fans. Icue doesnt even register I have the commander core plugged in. Gonna have to check device manager.
Pardon the ignorance. As for a liquid cooler fan and pump, they are both plugged directly into the Motherboard or should the fan still be plugged to the controller?

I also have the iCUE v5 something software which was the most up to date on their website.
Did you have any issues between running 120mm and 140mm fans together on the same device?
@@SavageOutlaw17 no, issues at all
This video made me like comment and subscribe. Building my first gaming pc from scratch and went all Corsair and they do not make it straight forward. Appreciate you, your knowledge and this content. Thanks man!
Thanks lacostebish!! I appreciate the kind feedback! Yea, it's be a bit confusing wading through all the corsair stuff. I'm happy you found the videos helpful. Thanks for your support and for watching!!

Best channel for corsair fans and configs.. well done.
This is much easier to understand!! THANK YOU! i don't normally like video but here you go!

This was great. Tried everything to get ICUE to recognize my Core XT, didn't realize I needed 4.xx which wouldn't update from 3.xx. Good stuff :D
Hi Cpt Jiggles, the same thing happened to me the first time, haha! Thanks for the feedback and for watching!!!
Well done. This was the only thing I had trouble with building my game rig, where and how to hook the fans up!
0:54 can I connect what ever fans I want as long as they are 4 pin? it doesn’t have to be corsair?
Can you plug the USB to any USB header like USB 2.0 and 3.0 in the motherboard
Hi EeveeGamin, The core XT will connect to a 9 pin USB header on your motherboard. USB 3.0 headers will be 19/20 pins and this won't connect to that, however I think they make some adapters, but I haven't tested that. This will work fine on the usb 2.0 9 pin header.
Thanks for watching!!!

A bit confused I thought the SP corsair fans aren’t compatible with the Commander Core XT cuz I was thinking about getting the SP120’s with the Commander Core XT.
My commander core came with my Corsair water cooler. It’s doesn’t have the rgb on the end. Only the 6 fan and 6 rgb on the other side
I have 5 fans. I want to add a Corsair RBG led light strip. Can I add it where the last fan would fit?
Do you have another connector splitter off the USB 2.0 connector? What is that for if you know?
On the commander core box it shows 'temp' at the bottom with a 2 pin port. On my motherboard the only port match is JPOWERLED1, next to JRAINBOW1. There seems to be no 2 pin cable to connect to the former. I know my motherboard doesn't play well with any corsair products, so is the 2 pin necessary to use?
I like how you labeled all the cables.
Just an fyi and it says on the website too, SP120/140 fans are not supported for the core xt. The only way I've found them to run is to keep icue running.
This video is very much needed. Great explanation and keep up the great work.

Great vid! I think because of your vid I went to the commander core XT. I went with 3, one for the front fans (4), one for my EK P480mm rad Fans (4), along with a temp sensor. The last one for my EK P360mm rad with a temp sensor to monitor my temps on my Red Devil 7900 xtx.
how do i sync my mother board with my corsair commader core xt ?? i have a ASUS z790-A wifi
i need to use my aura sync or my icue to control all of the lighting
I'm really liking your videos I'm watching a number of the on this topic
I recently built my first pc using the commander core xt. In my bios it’s not showing any fans in the Qfan control. Not sure how to get them to show up
Is it possible to enable lights of h series(like h150) with commander core or commander pro?
Thank you for making this video. Super thorough and very helpful.

Can this controller be used for any brand of RGB fan? I have six...three on a Deep Cool AIO and three on the front panel. The three on the front panel are Phanteks.
is it easy to setup 2 commander core xt's? I need 10 fans to be powered and have rgb so if that is an easy option I'll do that
but mine does not recognize the commander core xt and i have checked everything, fans working and also rgb so idono whats wrong.
I cant get my comander core xt to show up I have tried version 4 and 5 of icue, it sees the ram along with the pump in both and with the two new fans in the mural in version 4, but if I update to version 5 then 2 of my fans stop showing in the mural (these 2 are case fans and not part of the pump)
I have checked all conections and all are properly seated the only thing I have not done is try another usb header as I really dont feel comfortable poking about inside my case to much, I was barely abel to put in the 2 new case fans myself without a panic attack.
is this probly a case of me needing to swap which usb thing the comander xt is pluged into or is it a faulty part ?
@Hardware Artisan is there any chance you can help me to get this info @7:45 of the Commander Core Xt actually?
Hi luisvidal4238, I never did see an exact spec sheet for the COREXT, corsair referred me back to information that led me to believe it was the same as the Commander PRO, so that's how I treat it, same specs.
Thanks for watching!!
Where do you get that SATA power connector, I have a SATA Cable I use from my hard drive but does not fit it.
Is that a different cable?
how many commander core xt s are needed for a 14 fan setup? 6 on the aio rad, 8 for case cooling? all corsair products, ML and SP fans
Hi. This device is perfect but i have a corsair 570x case which comes with a controller on top i want to retain that function where do i plug it
Hi valpro2000, great question.
(but you might already have it)
The CORE XT does replace that hub as well though, so if you only have 6 fans, you could get rid of the remote and the hub and just use the CORE XT, it has a 6 port rgb hub built in and the PWM connections as well.
I hope that helps, thanks for watching!!!!
Brilliant video and so well and smoothly explained! Thanks
Thank you Simon P, I'm happy you found it helpful, that means alot to me! Thanks for watching!
Assuming that the Corsair hub will only work with 4 pin RGB (Corsair fans) and not 3 pin RGB Correct?
So does the CORE XT need to be connected to the Commander PRO instead of the mobo connection ??? because I cant get XT to see the fans at all. they are spinning but icue does NOT see the fans at all , and ive tried to troubleshoot to no avail...i guess I need the the Pro with the XT ???
you are the reason why I bought one ,thank you!
Thanks Sniping4Days, that's awesome! Thanks for watching!!!
Any suggestions on what I can do if I only have one USB header on My motherboard and it's being used?
(after a reboot, retry the setup)
8. Try another PC if you have one
Thanks man, decided to buy it after watching this video
Thanks Yousif Alobiedli! I'm happy the video helped out, thanks for watching!
does this work with the SP120 RGB fans? as on amazon it says the Commander XT doesnt work with SP120s
@@HardwareArtisan ANY word on this ??? Do the sp 120 elite's work???
@@jimmiereese193 Corsair has made this a bit confusing. The SP120 elite and SP120 rgb pro fans will work with the CORE XT by itself. There is an older SP120 fan (non elite or pro) that won't work, I've never had any of those.. If you have the pro or elite, they will connect and be detected as the 8 LED fans. I just tested this to the core XT, works great.
I have 21 fans and a ton of RGB stuff to attach. what is the best solution to attach all these?
Will the magnet connection damage if I put it on the metal plate behind the motherboard
Have Fun!!
quick question, will this Core XT work with a corsair AIO with a 3-pin ARGB connector?
So i bought those rgb Corsair fans that come with the rgb node thing, but my mother board doesn’t have enough sys fans headers so i need a hub , so i don’t need the stuff that comes with the fans anymore ?
Hi HashHead, that is correct. If you purchase a core XT it gives you the pwm connections in addition to all the RGB connections. It’s a great solution as it gives you speed control within icue. You could choose an inexpensive pwm hub and still use the node code, but then you can’t use icue to control fan speed. So the COREXT is a great solution. Great question, thanks for watching!!
Since the hub has a specific corsair 4 pin connector on the RGB side, will a regular 4 pin ARGB fan connecter go in there?
Hi stanjd, the corsair 4 pin connector, which is a molex connector is really only designed for corsair fans. However, check out this video on an adapter cable to adapt these ports to use with the 'standard' 3 pin 5v ARGB:
ruclips.net/video/w2Pt86_qUYc/видео.html
I'm not exactly sure what you mean by a regular 4 pin ARGB fan, 4 pin usually means it's 12v RGB which won't work here, or you could mean 4pin PWM (power and speed control), any 4 pin PWM fan will work on this hub with no problem.
Good Luck, have fun and thanks for watching!!!
I have af120 fans and these arent getting detected by icue or commander. And there is no option for those in manual setup
If I was to use the commander with a non corsair rgb fan would I be able to control the rgb of that fan in the icue software
Hi Marlin Koch, you can get iCUE to give you some control over non corsair RGB, you have to use an adapter cable to get 'normal' 3 pin argb into the corsair rgb plug, check out this video for more info:
ruclips.net/video/JgLUDe1yzYw/видео.html - How to get all your RGB working with CORSAIR iCUE - Tutorial
Thanks for watching!!! Have Fun!!!
My fans only light up red, that’s how they came, they’re pwm fans, would they still light up if I don’t connect them to the rgb ports on the core xt?
The stock rgb hub that came with corsair fans is not being detected by iCUE software. Is the stock rgb fan hub no longer supported by iCUE?
I would try all the following steps:
Ensure the USB cable is connected to a motherboard header, i'd reseat it and try another one if possible. I'd also try another SATA power connector just to rule out any power issues. If you have a USB hub, try eliminating that by connecting directly to your motherboard.
And....vice versa, if your using a motherboard header and it just won't detect, try a powered USB HUB if you have one.
Ensure you have the latest iCUE version, version 4.x Uninstall any Version 3 software and reinstall version 4
If you still don't see it:
Make sure your motherboard chipset drivers are up do date and resolve any problems you see in device manager.
Can i plug in the commader core to a rear usb port with a 9-pin to usb adapter and it work properly? I dont have any usb 2.0 headers on my mobo.
Hi, just a quick question , will the Commander XT work on the msi b550m bazooka board ?
Pardon the ignorance. As for a liquid cooler fan and pump, they are both plugged directly into the Motherboard or should the fan still be plugged to the controller?
