Rustage did something really clever with this one. The character he did for this one, Subaru from Re: Zero ( a show I HIGHLY recommend by the way) is basically stuck in a series of time loops. So he started and finished the cypher, and started both of his verses with the same lyrics but ended differently, like Subaru repeating events in the time loop over and over again, trying to create different outcomes. Brilliantly done.
Subaru isnt stuck in a series of time loops. He's basically playing a video game with check points. Whenever he dies he gets reset to his previous check point. Pretty sure that's how his power works
Rustage came back is because in the anime when the mc deads he comes back to life at a checkpoint and rustage reused some bars and switched some because that's what happens in the anime

Nah, Dave, they're all different anime, but it just goes to show you that the animation styles of isekai anime in general are fairly equal across the board. If I didn't know all of them I might easily think they were from one or two different shows.
Personally I say the style of most of these shows are quite different. Like, Overlord, Konosuba, and Slime’s art style you can’t say even look kinda similar.
Wanted to point this out. Rustage did the first and last verse because subaru, From Re:Zero, is trapped in a loop where he dies and revives back at a previous "checkpoint". So he finished the first verse then respawned for the final verse

@@venomouswyverns8819 Haha yeah by far one of my favourite scenes in Overlord. I just like Cocytus because of how they set him out to be during the battle with the Lizard folks Elders. He showed them respect even though he was so many levels above them. Idk just a really cool way to show off what kind of person he really is lol.

Out of all theses animes id say Rising of the Shield Hero is my favorite
