I think Poch was fired because he wanted more control, more saying into transfers. He wanted to start buying experienced players to challenge for top-4, but the owners said they prefer to play Football Manager for another 2 years.

Supposedly sacked ? It was said at the time Pochetino left that he left on mutual agreement. He just left, and what happened next? Owners paid all their puppet journalists to report that Pochetino was sacked. Clever people understand when Potter was sacked, and Chelsea was paying his salary for 18 months. It didn't happen with Pochetino because he left and the club had nothing to pay.

Maresca holds some blame for sure he’s very one dimensional however, the directors and owners built this mid level team and it’s them that’s failing to rid us of deadwood and bring in what we need. I gave up on top 4 before Christmas, still don’t believe we will get near personally I don’t see us getting above 7th.

I don’t think Maresca is good tactically . Watching how he handled that man city game told me all I need to know. If your team can’t win , just make sure you don’t lose . A point away at city isn’t bad. High line with no pressure on the ball? How ? That’s basic football. We need a serious coach .

I am blaming Maresca because of the way he handles the players he has on his disposal. He thinks by winning the promotion from the championship makes him know everything about football and by at one time a youth coach at City makes him as good as Pep Guardiola. I think he has disillusions and that and he thinks he knows everything about football. You are right when saying that he is no better than the kids he is coaching.
How can Maresca be unsafe, the sporting directors aren't helping him at all, instead of asking him who he wants, they still just want to buy kids, players that he has to baby sit, they want Garnacho, Maresca said he doesn't want Garnacho, Maresca has said he needs another striker, they think oh I know let's look at Tel a 19 year old Evan Ferguson as well, I mean we have Marc Guiu- Tel and Ferguson, aren't necessary in that sense, he needs some experience in the position that he can use.
Also GK, Sanchez is appalling, if Enzo wants to use Sanchez that's fine, but I think there's a certain director that wants him to use him.
Maresca could probably change the system to fit some of them in when he needs. Perhaps if Nkunku and Felix leave, Chukwuemeka will be back up to Palmer if Carney hasn't already left, he's been unfortunate with injuries but when he has played, he's played well.

To some extent I'll blame Enzo for not using the depth we have frustrating talents like Felix n Christo, too much trust on mediocre like Sanchez Noni Colwil even Nico.
What's it going to take to get those jokers out of the club? A quick look through the team makes it blatantly obvious that we've got lots of bodies but precious few that are actually fit for any kind of purpose.
We've got 1 reasonable keeper that the club is trying to sell, we've got 2 CB's that are remotely qualified to play at this level and the club wants to sell one of them while the other is still learning the job. We've got 1 LB because the club wants to sell the spare guy. We've got 1 RB, and a kid that might also cover that position in a pinch. We've got 1.5 central midfielder since the most expensive purchase in club history can't really play DM. And we've got a grand total of 1 striker.
And then we've got three obvious starters that are about as much use as a trophy cabinet at White Fart Lane because of how rarely they're actually fit to play. And on top of that we've got about a team and a half worth of deadwood, blacklisted players, assorted nothing burgers, and the occasional "good investment". Maresca isn't without blame but it's not like a better manager would've suddenly turned Brighton-tier people into world beaters.

@ I have said it multiple times that the manager isn’t flawless. You can change the manager I have zero issues as I al not connected to this manager at all. However, bring the next one in and the same issues will appear. This club’s model needs to change. The directors need to be serious level and then talk to me about the manager.
