thank you. it seems like something you ought to have heard a million times before but I can't actually name anyone else that sounds like that. and she controls it really well.

ludwig amadeus who hurt you
ludwig amadeus was simply poking fun at what seems to be a needlessly negative comment.
ludwig amadeus is it actually bad vocal technique, though? She isn’t putting any unhealthy physical strain on her chords. She clearly isn’t utilising vibrato for the sake of opera; it’s used quite sparsely as a timbre change at most. She hardly belts a few dbs above her natural falsetto levels so even when she’s hitting the high notes from chest rather than head, most of the volume is coming from good projection and shaping rather than actually blowing up her voice. Her vibrato definitely has an unconventional tonal quality to it but I couldn’t honestly see why her technique is at all “bad” unless the only barometer for one’s usage of the technique is how they compare to opera, at which point I’d have no clue why you’d be leaving such a comment here. It works well for the music and she isn’t lacking dynamic control.
That chorus for Old Man is so strong. La Blogotheque refuses to disappoint.
