Savage Geese, IMO provides some the most technical and unbiased reviews available. Thank you for another well prepared, well presented and amazing review of this GT4 RS
Yep. I think Savagegeese truly represents what driving enthusiasts are about. They love driving for the sake of driving, not for the outright speed or bragging rights that certain cars give you. Car guys are not created equal and I think it's rare that automotive journalists are so honest about where their allegiances lie. No it's not going to keep up with a Ferrari SF90 in a straight line, and with the advent of Tesla and the current turbo trend, this car is downright 'slow' for the $125k+ category, but it is still far too fast for public roads. That's simply not what most automotive journalists would admit because they're so inundated with high power cars. But driving enjoyment is rarely rarely about outright speed for many of us in the community. I own a C7 and it is MUCH faster than the miata or mustang I had before. Yes walking up to and getting out of the car the C7 kills the other two in 'curb appeal'. It's 'cooler' less of a hairdresser car, etc and yes that speed is thrilling and the sound of the V8 is intoxicating, but every single time I take a turn, I just wish I was in a miata or mustang instead. Why? Because I instead of being 30 mph over the speed limit, and feeling like I'm going slow, I would only be 10 over, and FEEL like I was going 50 over. The corvette is simply too fast to be 'fun' on most roads even with only 465 Hp because you always feel like you're only using 40% of the cars performance. In my mustang & miata, I could use 75-90% of everything they could give nearly all the time and so there was a lot more drama and excitement on the street.
When I was young, our rich neighbour had many wonderful cars. I helped him maintain them and he took me with him for the rides. It was the gran turismo era, peoples where buying fast cars to cover long distances in minimal time, mechanical gems that where incredibly connected to you. I remember myself roaming our little mountain street as a passenger with our neighbour's Lamborghini Diablo, Espada, with the Ferrari F360... those where moments of pure bliss, just remembering them makes me tear up. If I had the money, I would buy myself this Cayman 718 GT4RS or an LFA in a heartbeat.
SG made me turn from a Porsche disliker into a Porsche fan. The production value, the raw, professional opinion on whichever the vehicle you are reviewing, and actual matters that matter to me(audio, sound isolation, reliability, fun, connectedness, how the car *feels*, the whole lot), just... Wow! - Thank you, you make my life more complete and may both of you always be in good terms. You are good men, too few left remaining in this world.

No one is going to be able to afford it with the 50-100k mark up. The last of the greats are all for people who don’t even appreciate the car. Hopefully they don’t sink another boat, and add to scarcity again.
P. Long’s lap was nuts. Thanks for including it. I just wish this car was attainable for more than a relative handful people.
Its so sad that even if I decided to sell everything that I own I still could not buy this car because porsche would not sell one to me.
Also, is that the happiest Jack has ever been?
You guys are just the best car channel on the internet!
If I put all my savings into this car, I could buy it…
In Gran Turismo 7.
Nobody on the internet does car reviews like you guys. Bravo!

What an amzaing gear ration and amazing sound from Cayman GT4 RS! This naturally aspirated engine is the best awarding for driving enthusiasts. It absolutely will be a classic car for many years.
Such an AMAZING track for such a mind-blowing car. The sound that engine makes, good GAWD!!!
What a friggen beautiful car. Us mere mortals would be so lucky to even get an allocation for this work of art. Another great video and again, the technical details and walkthrough was eye wateringly good. Bravo gentlemen.
The fact that Porsche is releasing this version of a Cayman means it's over for NA GT cars. This is it. If you don't get one, I hope you like electric, or if you're lucky turbo powered Porsches.
I like electric. I think we'll have great drivers' cars in the future. But this still seems absolutely amazing.
I never knew I could get goosebumps and feel my heart rate rise from a youtube video, absolutley incredible car and geat production.
Sounds amazing. If I had 150k to spend on a toy (and could get an allocation) my perfect version would be this without the rear wing and with a manual. Touring edition if you will.
Love that the 86 is in the background during final thoughts, as it is what Subaru/Toyota did if you want a cayman on a budget.
basically, it is.
Freaking a my man. I seriously love you guys. Masterclass level production, outstanding!
