Eric, the Batman has an additional complication which is very useful, 2nd time zone, you can even push a 3rd one. The new Batgirl has a new movement, more power reserve, 100mts waterproof which is enough to scuba dive, Jubilee bracelet is more comfortable also...GMT all the way
Hulk for me, have a Hulk myself and it’s not about getting the right watch to suit your clothings, it’s about getting the right clothings that goes with the watch
It’s actually kind of a hard choice. Batman can be a suit watch or with jeans. Where the hulk is kind of just a chill watch but when worn with a chill outfit like jeans and t shirt, it gives the fit a cool pop. Btw, keep up the great content. Your shoots are fire Eric
Eric, thickness of the watches is different. Just got a Bluesy in addition to my GMT black. And I noticed that there difference in how the sub wears. This 1 mm difference is noticeable for me. GMT is more comfortable to wear as it's flatter. Thanks. Like your content!

Around 3 years ago I can still get a hulk for retail price, but I didn't, I got the big pilot instead, after 3 years I wouldn't say I'm regretted for getting the IWC, i love the BP, but I do regretted for not getting the hulk for retail price, cause the price went up almost double now.
I was between the black date sub or the batman. I wanted to like the batman but it's just too busy for me. The black sub is very 'typical' but that is for a good reason, it's a gorgeous watch. I don't get when people don't get a watch because too many people have it. If you want a rare piece don't buy a mass produced wrist watch!
You are spot on about the Hulk. Green goes w everything and can have a more sporty and summer vibe... it’s not about matching, it is about complementing colours! :)
I don’t see the Jubilee version as Bat Girl. It is still a Batman; however, with more “class” under the jubilee band. With this in mind the new version should be called the Bruce Wayne. Classy by day (jubilee). Dependable and rugged by night (case / bezel).
Great video Eric. So hard to choose between the two. If you choose The Batman GMT it is more versatile in what you can wear it with whereas the Hulk, as you said because of the green dial, is much more a sportier looking watch. So it really depends on your lifestyle. If you aren't the office type, and are more of a casual dresser, Hulk can work. If you are more business causal or sporty, the Batman is more versatile. Also the Oyster bracelet with polished Centre links also makes it look a bit more fancy. However, if you own a traditional black dial Sub, such as myself, you can get away with wearing it at the office as black goes with everything. But I'd love to own a GMT in the future. The thing is, if you had to pick one watch as your only daily beater, you can't go wrong with either because they will last forever.

Both are 🔥 pieces in their own way. I had both until recently. I have to give the edge to the hulk just for the fact that when the sun hits that green dial in just the right way, there’s not much that can top that sight. A month back I traded my Batman in part for an AP Offshore Diver. No regrets. Update May / 2022 - I’m buying back my batman lol

I really like the Hulk, to me it’s less “busy” than the Batman & the dial changes in different light & from different angles. For a lump of stainless steel I think it has subtle class.
On point video. I am a blue fan. Got the Batman at retail. Trying hard to get Hulk at retail or close and no luck. Should have bought months ago when it was only a $4 k premium. Now because Every1 saying discontinued price is up.
Whichever of the two is on my wrist would be my favorite. I think the green sunburst dial is "edgier" and it's hard to take your eyes off it at different angles in the sun. Definitely more casual IMO. The blue black GMT can handle both casual and office wear. Can't go wrong with either watch. Another great video Eric !
Hi Eric. You are so right about the Hulk. For years I walked by display cases and said what an ugly watch. Then one day I was in Miami in the Design District at the Rolex store and a female employee was wearing a Hulk on her wrist. I said to her can I take a look at that watch on your wrist? She showed it to me and I fell in love with it. A month later I owned one! And I love it. I sold my AP, never wore it. I sold my Sea Dweller. Never wore it. I wear my Hulk all the time and I love it.
Both are in my collection and you hit the nail on the head with the versatility comment on Batman versus striking color of Hulk. Because of versatility, I’d own the Batman if it was my only watch but I love the hulk as part of a larger collection. It gets a lot of wrist time during the day throughout the warm weather months whereas I switch to either ss or oysterflex Daytona, a GMT (pepsi or Batman) or James Cameron at night or in the winter. If I didn’t have that rotation and had one watch, I think it would be a Batman or a black Sub.
Like a primary watch I have AP 15400ST black dial and I wanted something interesting to couple for free time. I started with a Batman, but durning just four months it started to be next to Royal Oak very boring watch at all, so I switched to Hulk and finally perfect combo. :) Green Submariner is just amazing free time watch, if you switch from Royal Oak and go out, you just significantly change your overall emotion feeling and the same if I switch back to RO.
As always... excellent and interesting content, great and respectful debate. I must admit that I like more the Hulk than the Batman if you make me chose just one of them. But... I’d love to have both of them in my collection. #TeamHulk.

I like diver watches more then GMT watches. I prefer blue watches but I will pick the Rolex Hulk. I can wear a green watch that symbolized the color of nature and money

I have the batgirl and the hulk...Even more of a difference because of the jubilee band! Definitely wouldn’t choose one over the other...I’d choose times to wear them! Hulk for the spring/summer and sunday cookouts, batgirl for the fall/winter and evening dinners!

It's actually a 2020 two-tone black GMT, even though they discontinued it in 2019, because Rolex did a 2020 limited release recently to a few select dealers. Luckily, mine gave me a call to see if I wanted it. Easy decision. It's one of the few in the world that's a 2020, with the new card.

I bought my Hulk back in 2015 and my AD thought I was crazy. He wanted me to get the Batman but I love the green dial. To me it represented the color of the brand and a lot positive elements in life. So, for that reason I knew it would never go out of style. Now he ask me how did I know! I really didn’t know, I just bought what I felt I can really enjoy for a long period of time. Love the content!
Must of watched the videos you made on both of those watches when you were with CRM 100 times each. I was lucky enough to buy both of them from the AD last year. They get an equal amount of wrist time each but I lean towards the sub because it's easier to change the date.
Seem most viewers here are decided quite evenly between the hulk or batman. I guess the market will deternine which one is more in popular by their prices and it seem now the hulk have the edge even when it has not been discontinued

I am currently on 2 waiting lists for the Batman (now Batgirl) now for about 2 years and I am still waiting. The wait times in Sydney Australia are ridiculous.
I have both (and a Bluesy). Having owned the Hulk for a couple of years, I’ve got to the point where it’s a bit “too green”, and it does not get worn much. The other two are my day to day watches and I am thinking about selling the Hulk as a defensive move as it feels that prices may slip further this year.
I'd take the batman over the Hulk not only because I like blue better than green, but I could use the GMT function more than I could with the sub's. And people with big wrists might not notice/care, but the glidelock clasp takes the whole span of my wrist which makes wearing it feels unnatural.
I wish I purchased the Hulk at my AD back in January 2017 right before this crazy hype. Instead, I purchased the submariner 114060. Still feeling guilty about not getting the Hulk back then. Talk about missing on a wide open net.
I prefer the Hulk. The green dial changes color depending on the lighting. It’s an amazing watch that you don’t see too much around. Also, the new Batgirl comes with a jubilee. I rather have the oyster band.

I feel like the sub is benefiting from its own hype. No one wanted one until everyone wanted one and now it’s a grail piece! The Batman for me is the baller, had one and sold it as I was getting divorced and it’s still my favourite SS Rolex! Goes with everything

I used to have both. Last year I sold the Batman because I thought it was unnecessary to keep two very “similar” watches. It was a dumb move ...Recently I got a new Batman in jubilee bracelet from an AD and I flipped it because I’ve got a “similar” Pepsi...Time will tell if it was another dumb move

You've got to really L O V E green if you love the HULK green, personally I don't but I love the dial color of my Jade Monster, it's nearly blue and I love blue dials and I wish Rolex would do a Jade Monster dial color, because that actually does go with a lot more things.

I've already seen the hulk at $20k, David DW has one for just under, once its discontinued it'll increase but will come down eventually to $18k similar to the BLNR. both awesome watches, I have the black GMT so will side with the hulk, purely becuase its more comfrtable with the glide lock clasp and I don't have to worry about scratches. Those PCL's scratch even if you look at it. Enjoying your videos Eric, keep it up.
Love my Batman! Always wanted a Hulk too but now since discontinued yesterday all the hoarders have come out the woodworks and have flooded the secondary market at $20k-$30k. We’ll see what the market bears!

I have both (and a Bluesy). Having owned the Hulk for a couple of years, I’ve got to the point where it’s a bit “too green”, and it does not get worn much. The other two are my day to day watches and I am thinking about selling the Hulk as a defensive move as it feels that prices may slip further this year.
I'd take the batman over the Hulk not only because I like blue better than green, but I could use the GMT function more than I could with the sub's. And people with big wrists might not notice/care, but the glidelock clasp takes the whole span of my wrist which makes wearing it feels unnatural.

I wish I purchased the Hulk at my AD back in January 2017 right before this crazy hype. Instead, I purchased the submariner 114060. Still feeling guilty about not getting the Hulk back then. Talk about missing on a wide open net.

I prefer the Hulk. The green dial changes color depending on the lighting. It’s an amazing watch that you don’t see too much around. Also, the new Batgirl comes with a jubilee. I rather have the oyster band.

I feel like the sub is benefiting from its own hype. No one wanted one until everyone wanted one and now it’s a grail piece! The Batman for me is the baller, had one and sold it as I was getting divorced and it’s still my favourite SS Rolex! Goes with everything

I would definitely go with the Hulk something about that green bezel green dial combo that just pops.

I used to have both. Last year I sold the Batman because I thought it was unnecessary to keep two very “similar” watches. It was a dumb move ...Recently I got a new Batman in jubilee bracelet from an AD and I flipped it because I’ve got a “similar” Pepsi...Time will tell if it was another dumb move

I have a Rolex Batman GMT, and absolutely love it, but I really wish the GMT had the Glidelock bracelet like the Submariner.

You've got to really L O V E green if you love the HULK green, personally I don't but I love the dial color of my Jade Monster, it's nearly blue and I love blue dials and I wish Rolex would do a Jade Monster dial color, because that actually does go with a lot more things.

I've already seen the hulk at $20k, David DW has one for just under, once its discontinued it'll increase but will come down eventually to $18k similar to the BLNR. both awesome watches, I have the black GMT so will side with the hulk, purely becuase its more comfrtable with the glide lock clasp and I don't have to worry about scratches. Those PCL's scratch even if you look at it. Enjoying your videos Eric, keep it up.

I have both, but if I had to keep 1, it'll be the Hulk. The Batman is best for every attire/day, but the Hulk (to me) is just sooo different/Iconic.

Love my Batman! Always wanted a Hulk too but now since discontinued yesterday all the hoarders have come out the woodworks and have flooded the secondary market at $20k-$30k. We’ll see what the market bears!
Out of the two the Hulk would be my choice. But I would probably buy the yachtmaster to be different.
