I’d love to hear a Bodom medley with the marshally sounding part of this
That’s a great idea
Nice to see old school technology moving up the ranks. I can see this being used at home and for fly dates for anti sub menu option paralysis guys like me 😂
Yayyyyy
Straight up!
Absolutely love the Jackson Virtuoso. I want to try one, but at the same time don’t as I’m fairly certain I’d make a very irresponsible financial decision 😂
Some Of my favorite songs, Unfortunately, most pedal boards are not easy for evisually impaired person to use :(. Still sounds amazing, keep it up!
That's the best Metallica tone I've heard out of passives! I need that Sylosis shirt too :P
Yehhhhh I love it
This would be great as I already are into preamps, wondering how it compares to the kraken preamp wich I really like. Btw this was a different and inspiring way to demonstrate the pedal.
Thank you! We tried something different to see how it would work. I appreciate that you liked it :)
Way less gain than a Kraken. This is much more mids-forward than typical Friedman. Ch1 has much less gain than I expected & ch2 has much more. surprisingly versatile. And the on-board boost is much more useful than I expected it to be, considering it doesn't have a tone knob.
Sounds awesome, but can I get the tones from Lu Lu?
Oooooh that’s a challenge
Sounds pretty damn good
great tone and great axe sir
Thank you for existing pal 🙏🤘🤘🤘
Sounds nice man! ❤
Thanks!!
Kill em all is so raw. Lightning boosted more compression. Kill em all has that classic rock crusher tone
Thanks!!
Sounds fantastic, great demo of this thing.
Thanks! I wanted to try and show it in a more fun way :)
Can u tell me wat ir u used? Is it a stock one ? Also wat external pedals your using? Not really an in-depth video on how to achieve that tone
Well the best two albums had marshalls so hell yea.
Yehhhh which ones. RTL??
@@JamieSlays and the very first and best one except on Ride the Lightning he was boosting it with a super overdrive, which he admitted to hating his first and most favorite. Marshall had been stolen prior to lightning.

Since it has 2 real tubes in it, how hot does the pedal feel to the touch after running for awhile? Very impressive pedal for sure.
As Friedman said himself it doesn't get hot. Lukewarm maybe
💪😎🎸 KILLA 🎸👻🎤
setting aside the built in IR's of the IR-X, how does the feel and the tone compare with the Friedman BE Synergy module? I ask because I have several ways to use IR's already and I'm sort of gassing to try this pedal but I also have not played the synergy module either.
More mids-forward than most Friedman gear. Raw, but not harsh. Much more like a JEL than a BE
Wicked
if jamie and soup is in one frame, I will have hard times trying to figure out who's who
lol whos soup
@@JamieSlays ruclips.net/video/NM3ddKO6kKY/видео.html the singer in this band, he's cool
awesome man. where did you get the drum backing tracks? or did you program it all yourself?
did u use a amp with this or plugin to your audio interface
I used it into the interface :)
rad do u need a power amp if you plug it into the pc or anything i am looking for something like that
@@JamieSlays
@@rudycastillo6369 no power amp needed :) it’s all inside!
i never plugged in a pedal into my audio interface or anything what do u need to do it
@@rudycastillo6369 You use a guitar cable to connect your guitar to the pedal. Then you have an Unbalanced output on the Friedman preamp where you put another guitar cable and plug the other part of the cable into an input of your audio interface. You adjust the gain level on the interface as you would with any input and that's it. You're done in 1 minute.
Killer tones man. Can't wait for my IRX to show up 🤘
Why did you play the intro to supertones strike back by the supertones on a Metallica themed video?. Strange to use a ska bands album 1st song intro.. 😜.
Lololol
@@JamieSlays hadn’t heard :” creeping death” so I wasn’t aware that the intro to supertones strik back was them being cheeky and using the intro.
Until I saw a comment by someone on the music video or just audio for the supertones version and had to check it out after.
@@dannystarkridesfixedhaha oh really?! I thought you were just trolling haha yeh it’s creeping death. They do a good job
@@JamieSlays haha yeah I was trolling to a point to make it seem like I thought it was originally done by supertones not Metallica due to for me.
When the Supertones album came out I was like 9. So it was just a little first song to the album intro to me until I saw the mentioned RUclips comment.
Was being a little facetious.
Friedman is probably close too the hot rod Marshall that James Hetfield used .
Wat other pedals u using buddy?distortion?
Send it my way
Awesome video!!
Thank you! :)
It does the old tone of Metallica well but not the modern tone. It sounds to thin. It doesnt get the modern chug.
That's because modern chug isn't built on old hot rod marshalls. The 5150 is sort of the cornerstone for modern metal and those couldn't be further voiced from a hot rod marshall if it tried.
