32:00 Actually, It WAS set up way earlier, but piecemeal and in a way that you can't really tell as a first time watcher, In S1EP 11 Aurora fights Cid with her Blood spears, It gets called an "Ancient Battlefield Technique" The rest of the Sanctuary Arc loredumps about the BLOOD of Diabolos. (Retroactively this also implies that the Cult is the reason Vampires exist in the first place.) In S1EP20, He copies it with water (and notes the Magic transmission in water is far worse than in Slime), calling it the "Secret Art of the Witch", but Beatrix just calls it out as "A Vampire Attack" In S2EP1, Mary uses Blood just like Cid and Shadow Garden use slime. In S2EP2, we learn that in Ancient times Vampires Ruled everything, until Humanity learned of their weaknesses and overthrew them. (cycling back to the EP11 thing, of in Ancient times using Blood Spears was just a thing people(Vampires)did) And obviously all the stuff from this episode. Also, note which of Claire's arms has the Diabolos power, her left one. Which arm of Diabolos was kept in the Sanctuary? The Left one. (This is a surprise tool that will help us later).
The reason Elizabeth was fighting in the first place was because of the sort of starvation frenzy caused by the blood moon that she had 1000 years ago that destroyed three kingdoms. She was having it again here because it was the first blood moon since then, and it was crimsons plan to revive her into this rage state. Cid’s recovery atomic simply fixed the blood rage and she regained her senses and didn’t want to fight anymore
to be fair, it is an older concept by now many people that got into anime post 2015 are probably unfamiliar with the concept or only know it as the edge lord archetype
Cid stabilized every girl infected he came accross and he teached them how to actually use magic to its fullest and realest way. When they were activated the other members knew how to deal with it but Claire doesn't because she was never prepared and trained for that, plus she had a more devastating activation due to her blood and the vampire blood being in contact when she got her blood sucked (Elizabeth was potentially trying to turn her). Aurora (the blood itself) had to intervine to help.
the marking on Claire's arm is actually kinda interesting it has a carbo hydrate chain depicted on it and then mixes it with a couple symbols from folklore and religion i think the part closest to her hand is a constellation, not sure which though i really love the fight of Cid and Elizabeth as it's basically an artillery battle between just 2 people, it also shows how inferior Elizabeth's technique is compared to Aurora's
I wonder if the money would've still also been accepted had it been broken but just given less money since it's broken. I also wonder what Cid would've still thought it was chuunni had the mark been on the right hand instead of left

Such a great comment for two guys who dgaf about comments, sadly.

So cid didn't rewind time with recovery atomic ,he healed hence it being called recovery
Next episode… the start of the most important arc. … The arc… where DELTA SHOWS UP MORE! 🐶🐕
As expected, I've only seen you guys be the one to pick up on the, Cid thinking its a chuuni thing.
to be fair, it is an older concept by now

The frenzy has ended.
The Moon is no more Red

Its a real shame they wont read this
the marking on Claire's arm is actually kinda interesting

You know he will get bonus loyalty when he was just aoe catching his coins x)
And thus begins my fav. arc in the anime.
Elizabeth is voiced by Saori Hayami, and we got a line. That's all I have to say.
Best girl Ryu
I wonder if the money would've still also been accepted had it been broken but just given less money since it's broken. I also wonder what Cid would've still thought it was chuunni had the mark been on the right hand instead of left
there are many people who didn't understand the Chuuni joke and trope, smh
I love how all this guy's powers are basically just "MAGIC BULLSHIT GO!!" XD
Really good episode
wow this arc got butchered. in the manga they actually gives Elizabeth and the huntress a character
