- Introducing my new (well, previously owned) Korg Electribe EM-1, and my new Gemini PS-626x dj mixer.
Not my best jam, and the middle is sorta too long, but I liked crossfading the breakbeats and the ending was completely improv and it turned out kind of cool I think.
Please enjoy.
i really like your idea; battling electribes through a DJ mixer, genius.
nice harmonies
this is my favourite performance i've seen of yours

It's a pretty nice mixer to my amateur eye. There are no noticeable problems, I've had it for about 6 months only, though. No telling how long it will last. The EQs aren't the cleanest, but are way better than my Behringer mixer. Everything feels sturdy. I'd recommend it if you're on a budget. No telling how good the FX on the unit you're looking at are, though.
i'm new to dj'ing and i've just ordered 2 x stanton t.62 turntables and the gemini ps626.... this was after HOURS of reading reviews!!! this should be adequate for both mixing and scratching.....
i like this vid by the way, inspirational.. i have pretty much the same set-up but never bothered to hook it all up properly.. also, the sounds are a liiittle bit cheesy if you ask me!
Thanks!
The ES1 only has function for one loop to run. I'm pretty sure I did not use it. The two breaks I am x-fading between are rhythms I made with slices. All rhythms in the video I programmed myself.

Thanks for watching.
Yes that's an ES1 mk2. Above the tribes are a Boss DR3, Korg EM1, and Boss ME-50.
@guhjoh
Correct, you don't need a computer. It has stereo RCA inputs and outputs like any other DJ mixer.
funny how i tottaly forgot about this vid, this mixer and this comments, i endended up buying a numark dxm09 and 2 denon s1200, but i only use them at home, im a mobile dj now :)
@guhjoh
Yes it still works, I was just using it today to mix some Current Value.
For the money I'd say it's worth it.
Since I don't own either of those machines my advice not help, but... I'll give my best shot:
You have to make sure all your synth and drum parts on one machine are all on different channels from all the synths and drum parts of the other.
Hey man I have a question about syncing electribes (esx and emx). All I want to do is have them play in sync. I connect with the midi set them to different channels and have one on int the other on ext. This almost works but I have certain parts that the emx can controle and play through in the emx parts. I dont want this. Do you know what I mean can you help me out?
hey do you recomend the gemini ps 626 mixer?, im planning to buy the 626efx, but i haven't found any video or review about it, so they it is preetty alike with the 626 your using
what can you say?
haaaaa i don't know what to do, im on a budget haha aand
