I'm not a Bowie superfan but as far as I'm concerned, Bowie kept his deteriorating health a secret from the public eye. I also feel like Bowie had a sense of humour provided he prticipated in various television sketches and I don't think he'd be butthurt about something like Ayoade's impression
That's even worse. Bowie is trying to cover up his illness and Ayoade is out there doing an impression ON THE DAY HE DIES. That's got to hurt!
Yeah but how would have Ayoade known? Also, back to my previous argument, I think Bowie has a sense of humour and it's not like Richard is the first ever impersonator of him - think of all the tribute acts in the world! Is it still disrespectful, despite the fact they are trying to honour his musical career? I know that Richard is a Bowie fan so even if it sounded like a mockery to you, it was likely just a bit of fun and entertainment for us as the audience
