Ive been using Gig performer 4. Its been great. I can use any plugin i want thats loaded into my computer. I even have my Universal audio Apollo x8p hooked up to the same computer so it has access to the universal audio plugins. I cannot access those plugins unless its hooked up unfortunately. I tried Live professor first but it would crash on me sometimes. No issues with Gig performer though
I get 6 to 7 milliseconds of latency when the Ui24R, which is not that great compared to 1.4ms of the mixer dsp, but really this is the same as standing 2.5 meters from the speaker so it is manageable. Also with the MacBook Air M1 it is possible to run over 30 plugins with around 40% of cpu usage. I just need to ask myself why I would need Waves plugins for my gigs, but let's have fun.
1:14 is incorrect. The PC doesn't process anything only the server. The PC controls the server. A SuperRack SG setup as described with a server has the fastest latency of all the setups talked about. Performer and SuperRack Native with a typical interface, not a SoundGrid interface, will always have the most latency.
I have not tried this but I believe from other things I have done that once the channel is in the computer it can be used in multiple places. best thing to do is test it to know 100%
I started using LifeProfessor cause i realy want other VSTs to work, like PA MaagEq4 or some other Reverbs cause i dont like the Wave ones. Im still realy curious on how good it runs. Lifeprofessor is the same price. Ill have a look if it is worth
I just got Performer, This is the best tool in my kit now. SuperRack at $599 plus all the servers, cards, and switchers just added up to be too expensive to try. Last night I got my 5-year-old laptop out and installed Performer. The vocals have never sounded better. Performer is game-changing.
I downloaded SuperRack Performer for a free try. But without plugins it makes zero sense. How can I insert free plugins? I don't want purchase 100$ Dollars if it not works for me.
Thanks for the video. Waves hasn't done a very good job at explaining these products. I'd think they could sell a lot of software if people understood what they were selling, and what you get when you are buying. Most their videos are just promotional and don't really explain how it works or what comes with. I'm still very confused what hardware you need and what the limitations are. Also what plugins come with all the different packages...
2:31 Its actually called StudioRack...whats interesting is the presets for that can be loaded as chains in SuperRack
You guys are great! Made me laugh out loud 😂 Keep it up 👍🏻
Thanks

Haha well said
18:04 well that depends on how much you hate odd numbers. It can be counted as one OR two signatures.😏
you guys are fun
Thanks!!

Can I use super rack performer live with my x32 and record through logic pro at the same time with the same x32 usb port?

@@EnhanceDontDistract Thank you!
Did you try this? I would imagine that would be a big load on the computer.@@davidmalbrecht
Do you recommend using a midi controller with eight knobs to control these plug-ins live? If so, which one?
@calebdenman can you chime in here

Yeah I think that was my question when asking about 3rd party stuff.

Yeah thinks its crazy how cheap it is.
Which Plugins are you using for Vocals?
@@sammythecook depends on what you need.

They need to be waves plugins. I believe their is a trial for the subscription plan for plugins. I might try that.

We agree
If you really want to use 3rd party stuff I think you can just set up a DAW to work the same way as performer.
Yeah sometimes when you have all the waves and want to use some 3rd party on top would be nice
Since 4/4 and 6/8 are TIME signatures, then yeah, they ARE the wrong answer to "What KEY signature is 'Turn It On' in?"
u still need a server for it to run on 0,8 ms this guys not explaining
You need a server for what?
