It's been a journey playing this game. 600 hours, hundreds of devlogs and almost as many comments. I've played this game for years and it has changed my life the community around this game is fantastic and I couldn't have asked for a better Christmas. So when's the C8
I rarely get excited nowadays, but when I unboxed the Girandoni, it made me do a little gremlin dance. Never in my life would I have expected that particular gun! For those who don't know, here are a few historical tidbits: - This weapon was invented by the Tyrolean clock maker Bartolomeo Girandoni around 1770 (which makes it the second oldest gun in H3 as of now). - It was by far not the first air rifle in existence (some dating back to the late 16th century), but the first one with a magazine and detachable air tanks. - It was actually issued to the Austro-Hungarian army on a larger scale (none less than 1300!), despite the limited production capabilities of the time. - During the Napoleonic wars, the French feared this weapon because it was relatively silent, had no muzzle flash and did not produce any smoke which could tell on the position of the shooter, not to speak of its incredible rate of fire and capacity by late 18th/early 19th century standards. - Because filling the air tanks by hand was tedious, pumping carts were designed with which one could fill several tanks at once, and every shooter was issued a few spare tanks. - Lewis and Clark had one of them (or a similar model) on their expedition, with its main advantages being that it did not require any gunpowder, which was obviously hard to obtain in the wilderness, and that it still worked in a damp or wet environment. They also used it to show off to the natives they met along the way. - Because of wear and tear, and because they tended to be quite unreliable, unfortunately the majority of them had been scrapped by 1848.
Greetings fellow airgun enthusiast! I also did an embarassing happy dance seeing the Girardoni. Such a thing could only be done properly in digital media by the Master Hand himself. Funny enough, for christmas IRL I received a Seneca Aspen multi-pump PCP rifle. A PCP rifle with a built-in pump for field charging. Thankfully it takes far fewer pumps than Girardoni's device!
@@twistedyogert They do. The pump is functional, but rather there for the authenticity. The air tanks are also spawnlockable, so you'll never actually have to pump. Here's a step-by-step guide: 1. Open the magazine tube next to the barrel by trigger-clicking the lid. 2. Fill it to the brim with balls, and close the lid again (so they don't fall out again). 3. Tilt the gun so that the stock/airtank points to the ground (a little bit is enough), and press the thumb-pad to the left (on the Index controller at least). The metal block on the breach should shift towards the magazine, and a ball should fall into it (that's why you need to tilt it). 3. Release the pad, and press it again, but this time down, to cock the hammer. The gun is ready to fire. 4. After several shots, you'll easily notice the gun losing power until the projectile more or less just drops out of the muzzle. That means the air tank is empty. So, grab the back of the tank, and thread it off. 5. If you have a full spare tank, move it to the back of the gun until it snaps to it with this satisfying *gloonk* sound (pure ASMR for me), and thoroughly thread it on. While you're at it, maybe give the magazine a refill. 6. If you don't have a spare, but at least the pump, put it to the metal part of the tank and thread it on. Grab the tank with one hand and the very end of the pump, and have fun pumping - because you will need 1500 pumps to fill the thing. 7. If you have neither.... well, you can still use the gun as a fancy club I guess.
I honestly found his comments annoying, was basically just creative begging for a feature Maybe I should start doing it too so a gun I want will be added to the game?

Fun fact: when I was opening my gifts I had accidentally spawned in hostile sosigs which blew up and messed up a few of the unopened presents. You should add a character to take and hold named Fictional Frank with only fake weapons.
Happy xmas man. I like the new update . The weapons are much fun
I don't even own the game, or a VR, I just like watching the devlogs :)
When I was opening the meatmas presents, i had pulled the pin on the holy meat grenade by accident instead of the top of the box, and I wondered what kind of sight this was, once I opened the box and saw it was a holy horseshoe grenade I immediately panic tossed it, one of my most hilarious moments in this game.
aaron finally got what he wanted
So the panzerfaust optic works by having the very top be like 50 meters and it goes by fifth each incriment iirc. It might be 100 and then increments of something else though.
If you do more pump rifles you should ABSOLUTELY add the old timey .22 pumps like what used to be standard at shooting galleries back in the day.
Was absolutely shocked to open the C7 box, immediately imagined Aaron's reaction. As a Canadian, thank you Anton, very based.
as a ghost in the shell fan, the m5 made me squeal
since we got that underwater pistol, does that mean theres a chance we could get that one wacky underwater ak looking thing that shoots glorified lawn darts
Aaron, you absolute legend.
i cant believe it, the decade long aaron's c7 arc is finally over.
Not to get my hopes up for April 1st but what are the odds of a pump action... 50cal?
Also thank you very much for all the hard work you put into this game! You are by FAR the hardest working dev of any game i know! Hope you have time after the holidays to relax!!
