That’s the primary difference between the British / Australian training methods and American. In America, you will get yelled at no matter what at some point. In the Commonwealth, you will have to endure suffering and stress, but if you do precisely what your DS tells you to do he will never beast you (unless that was part of the general training process, in which case he’s hardly going to yell at you.) There’s legitimate discussion as to whether that’s better as I feel the Commonwealth rewards good behaviour whereas the Americans only ever builds up resistance to stress- no matter what you do you’re buggered
@@wkcia I think its obvious, commonwealth units, or rather commonwealth realm armies statistically perform better than their American counterparts, of course there are many other different factors in training which contribute to this statistic but I feel this is a significant one
Looks like FNC1 rifle I carried in Boot camp 1989 Cornwallis. Hated that rifle. LOL. For a challenge, my Sgt held a hockey stick balancing a puck above his head for 4.5 hours (so Canadian). Didn't cry once. LOL
Those are the ones responsible for training soldiers. You are seriously mistaken if you show them any disrespect because they do not hold fighting roles. Still, only one of the CPLs and Sant Ray are from there; Murray is a Para, the Provos from Grenadier Guard.

Officer Class was also shite for similar reasons, a select few were picked and the rest discarded. That is not was Series 1 and Series 2 was about - they were about the group and making sure the people could work within the group.
Jonathan Lundkvist I loved how the first season focused on inspections and drill, especially the way Sgt Sullivan made it funny af, shame he had a screen time of about 20 minutes for all of S2. Personally S3 is my favourite it had so many good characters and each exercise got a lot of coverage if that’s even the right word. In S4 the recruits were boring imo. Also how did you manage to reply within minutes to me on an 8 year old video haha

that is the Lee Enfield Rifle the FN series rifle replaced that and became the L1A1 SLR

Reminds me of how we used to get smoked for dirty guns on infantry course. It's so tiring and rough, I recommend anyone who thinks it's easy to do it.

9 pounds is about 4kg , we use heavier rifles in cadets 😂 we literally stood there for over 30mins like this and we’ve got heavier weapons
