Here's an outlandish question. How safe do you think tunnel networks are if hit with nuclear weapons? (Two different scenarios) The first being a ground burst on top of or near the tunnel network. And the second being a subterranean detonation either made via some sort of nuclear armed bunker buster or a hole drilled into the earth with a nuclear device placed within.
Too many variables...would have to be mission specific. The assumption is usually a blast would NOT be on top of you. Even Cheyenne Mt. has a limited burst capacity for direct hit. Not great, not so much the ammunition situation, thats ok, but the amount of international volunteers is small, obviously lots of dudes go home during the cold of winter, but over time less and less come back, I got to Ukraine in February 2023 and the whole legion numbered about a thousand dudes, by summer that had probably upped to 2,500, but guys are going home and less and less are coming back, of the people who come, some stay 2 weeks or a month and go home.. Honestly I think the legion loses more people through people breaking their contract and leaving than by enemy action.. Although I'm sure more people will arrive this year for the spring/summer/autumn fighting but I dread to see how many actually come, and of those, who actually stay to fight.. Weapons wise, stuff is good, ammunition stuff is good, it's the bigger stuff that's running low, but that'll be fixed when more military aid comes after the "important" people in the US and EU sort their shit our.. What we need most of all is men and men who stay, instead of leaving because they realise that the war is dangerous and more deadly than they realise and just go home after 2 weeks.
and how does a guerrilla get armed from zero? assumming an european scenario, russians invade and only civilian available guns are available, are they useful to start?
The Vietnamese only won because it was a political war, my uncle when he served could capture a hill and his superiors would kick him off immediately after for the Vietnamese to recapture and then he’d take it again and he lost a lot of friends like that, that war could’ve been won.

Tunnels are good if you have time and equipment to build it. But for common folks especially in Russia/Ukraine it's not the case innit? I think guerilla tactics in woods would be helpful aw

No. Completely WRONG. The Yanks ran away squealing with their tails between their legs , just like in Afghan. The Viet/Sino War was very different. Read a book.
china holding vietnamese territory and vietnam drafting people to fight for them isn't victory. Regardless, they failed to stop the social imperialist@@MicMc539
@@MicMc539 Yeah it was way worse for the Chinese. The Yanks landed, occupied a big part of the country and stayed for 10 years before running away. The Chinese got stopped at 20km from the border after 3 weeks against an unprepared and understrength enemy, and ran instantly when Vietnam started mobilizing for a real war. 1979 was an embarrassment for PLA, read a book.
@@MicMc539 "As we shall see, viewed in these terms, the PLA’s performance in the 1979 campaign was poor. China planned for “battles of quick decision” (sujue zhan) but conducted a series of slow, indecisive operations. In the Lang Son area, one Vietnamese regiment held up two Chinese armies for a week, and another Chinese army needed up to ten days to secure Lao Cai and Cam Duong, a pair of towns that lie less than fifteen kilometers from the border. The PLA had so much difficulty securing Cao Bang that it had to commit at least two armies to a renewed assault on a city that it claimed to have already taken, and in Quang Ninh a platoon of Vietnamese delayed for five hours a Chinese regiment’s capture of Cao Ba Lanh Mountain, inflicting on the Chinese regiment the loss of 360 of its 2,800 men. Such losses, repeated all over the battlefield, were grievous and bought little." - Edward C. O'Dowd
Japanese military used plenty of them, in battles like Okinawa, Pelelieu, Saipan, and Iwo Jima. It took a considerable amount of men and material to deal with what were effectively isolated webs of tunnels surrounded by some of the biggest guns in the world. Mop-up operations on Iwo Jima by the Army garrison after the Marines secured the island lasted for months, and that was with a relatively isolated and small tunnel network with no local support, no hope for resupply and reinforcements, and nowhere to run. How bad were the losses? American commanders made so many Purple Hearts that the medals intended for the invasion of Japan were still awarded well into the GWOT. More pointedly, other American civilian and military leaders placed their faith in ending the war with the atomic bomb, at the time an experimental weapon which had only been test-fired once, and never dropped from an aircraft until the day it was used. The experience of fighting those tunnels in rather optimal circumstances were such that they were willing to use a barely-tested prototype super-weapon in the hopes they’d never have to actually invade. And unlike every other weapon which was fielded before it could be properly tested, it worked as intended.
Its more accurate to say that Tunnels are hard to beat by conventional warfare . The only reason IDF is stagnating in Gaza is because they are fighting with both hands tied behind their back while Hamas are free to commit any crime against humanity imaginable and Hamas also commits every warcrime in the playbook while IDF has to maintain strict ROE.
They're stagnating because the IDF is too small for it's tasks today. Also the main invaison stage has ended in most of the Gaza Strip, except for Rafah and Nuseirat and Deir al Balah. They've had great successes in Gaza during the intense stages when you had 5+ divisons operating simulatenously.

Bro, how’s the situation now in the International Legion? Got any news in terms of ammunition shortages etc?

Drones with infrared cameras can easily find you through trees
These tunnels are built by “common folk” you think YPJ has military engineers and excavators? Nope, just tunnellers.
Are we sure they didn't have some years to prepare?
Ukraine may have ground water table issues for tunnels, its flat terrain. They had tunnels in vietnam though and it rains plenty there so im not really sure.
Can you do a video on the meanings of different colored tape that Ukraine soldiers wearing? I see some wear blue, yellow and green

O'Dowd

Tunnels are impossible to defeat…. Good thing the Japanese never heard of them.😊
Japanese military used plenty of them, in battles like Okinawa, Pelelieu, Saipan, and Iwo Jima.
Excuse my ignorance, but what nation with F-16s and JDAMs would drop them on you? Or was that blue on blue based on insufficient intelligence?

Its more accurate to say that Tunnels are hard to beat by conventional warfare . The only reason IDF is stagnating in Gaza is because they are fighting with both hands tied behind their back while Hamas are free to commit any crime against humanity imaginable and Hamas also commits every warcrime in the playbook while IDF has to maintain strict ROE.
No one cares.
Is there any proof of war crimes comitted by hamas? There is a lot of proof of warcrimes comitted by the "most moral army".
Thanks for this public interest work, folk.
