      Me too. Although my grandma died when I was about 4, but I don't have any clear memories of her.

    If you organized ALL these tips from Grandma and Grandpa and put them into a book, I’d buy it, and as Christmas gifts to all my family and some friends. (I’d still watch the videos too) 😊

    Some of these tips come from the Bible such as laughter is the best medicine 😊

    Crochet or use a wash cloth on your dishes, and you can stop buying sponges.

    We use (fresh, grated)potato poultices for deeply embedded splinters/thorns. For dish washing/handwashing clothing, we grate a bar of pure castile soap, mix with borax, add about a Tablespoon into bottle & fill with distilled water. Doesn't suds-up like detergents BUT cleans & shines so well. Plain white vinegar is the best for cleaning (non-wood)hard floors. So many good, non-toxic ways of doing things!

    I use salt in my pasta water so that would be bad for plants. Instead I change my pet’s water regularly and give that to my houseplants

    Put Elmer’s glue on a splinter. Let it dry and peel off the glue and it will pull the splinter out

    I also put the opened sponges into a bag so they don't dry out. You can put a little bleach in water and rinse your sponge.

    Adding vinegar to the wash will throw off the pH. The rinse cycle would be better.

    Anyone else had a hard time watching people scrub dishes with the wrong side of the sponge ?? 😂
    I never rinse the soap out of sponges. The soap keeps bacteria from growing. I just squeeze out the excess liquid.

    Salt does NOT prevent bleeding of color from fabric. Most of this information has some helpful hints, but be careful. If what you’re doing works, don’t try to fix it.

    My grandmother didn't use sponges or dilute soap in the bottle. She diluted it in the basin.

    My mom would put small left over hard hand soap in a jar with water and make her own liquid soap…the hard soap would break down and melt …so…yeah

    "Use vinegar to keep your colors from running in the laundry......." "Did you know you can use vinegar in your laundry to prevent colors from running?" This narration of saying the same sentence twice is irritating and redundant!

    Unused outlets do not "waste" electricity and putting childproof caps in them doesn't do anything but keep kiddies safe. Basic physics, don't spout b.s.

    100% CLICKBAIT
    NOTHING TO DO WITH THUMBNAIL

    • @williamt2700
      @williamt2700 14 дней назад +2

      Umm.. did you think it was going to be a tip to insert a wire into both outlets? I'm pretty sure that was so out there it was intended as an obvious joke.
      It's intriguing, yes, but I think clickbait more means it's a "bait-n-switch" type situation. Which I don't think they thought anyone would think that was actually a good idea or something they were suggesting.

    • @TheAsmrAddict888
      @TheAsmrAddict888 День назад

      Why do you go by the thumbnail and not the title of the video? Because this video is exactly what it says it is. Clickbait means the video has nothing to do with what it claimed to be about. Thumbnails often aren't even a part of the video.
