@@Shadow-sword i wouldnt be surprised if there were severe long term consequences to it, less of an immediate death and more of a "live the rest of your life in agony and exhaustion"
@@Shadow-sword I'm sure Caitlyn wouldn't have used it if it caused instant death. The whole point apparently was to clear the streets and smoke out give them an advantage over their enemies during raids.
Caitlyn is obviously not in the right as she is acting out of her own personal revenge and pain which Vi noticed asking her to not change. Top side has always hurt way more people of the undercity so if to stop Jinx by shooting a child, that doesn't solve the problem. She would have missed by her blind rage.
Even if she hadn't missed - think how traumatized that kid would've been with Jinx's head splattered all over her. The kid doesn't know their history, she's just seeing two enforcers trying to kill her favorite person. It would've been exactly like when enforcers killed Vi and Powder's parents.
What do you mean Cait wasn't willing to cross that line? Watch the scene again and slow it down. Cait TOOK THE SHOT. With the kid AND Jinx in her crosshairs. She was absolutely willing to murder that child if it meant getting revenge. Episode 1 Cait when they talk about invading: "If we invade, Innocent civilians will be caught in the crossfire!" Episode 3 Cait: "I will blow a child's head off if it means killing Jinx." And you're supporting her becoming a dictator? Lol Cait is LOSING it.
But Vi was ok with Jayce killing the kid saying more will die if they don't do what needs to be done. Now she has a problem with Cait killing a kid to do what needs to be done.
@@LadyDoomsinger The whole factory was full of kids. The fight was putting them all in crosshairs. The real answer was that it was a war against Silco where casualties are expected. To create the nation of Zaun. Jinx doesn't care about that. They were just trying to get Jinx, it wasn't a war.
A lot of y'all arguing in the comments a out how "Vi could pull the kid off of her" or whatever are missing the point. Cait was WILLING TO MURDER A CHILD TO GET REVENGE. Not to protect her city or her friends, for revenge. Remember what Grayson asked her in her flashback to their shooting contest? "What are you shooting for, Kirraman?" Watch the scene again and slow it down. Vi DID get in the way, yes. And then Cait adjusted her sights so they were dead center on Jinx AND the kid, and took the shot. WHICH MISSED AND HIT VI. Its not a matter of if Cait would have hit Jinx if Vi hadn't stepped in. Its the sheer fact that she didn't care if she blasted a small child's skull into paste in the process. Also, look again at the scene right before the kid points the gun at Vi. Vi WAS about to bring her fist down on Jinx.
@@ReikokuXTaifuu you are very correct in your assessment. Also, why is shooting Jinx the option in that moment? They had her disarmed and pinned. ARREST HER. People be cheering on a police officer executing pinned down criminals apparently.
Still, instead of yapping about there is a child in the play Vi could've just grabbed the kid off so they could arrest/kill Jinx but it's obvious she doesm't want her to die yet. Nobody is missing a point here about Caitlyn trying to take the shot even though there is a child in the play, they just don't care and to be honest neither am I
" Vi DID get in the way, yes. And then Cait adjusted her sights so they were dead center on Jinx AND the kid, and took the shot. " *you Interpreted it wrong , She didn't miss , Cait adjusted and imediatly shot on VI shoulder to make her move and have a better shot that she had prior she wasn't aiming for the head* the first shot she made in this fight went next VI head and hit what she tought was jinx dead center, she shot the kids Gun right when the kid was pulling the trigger and few centimeters away from VI's head , if she wanted she could've made that headshot without touching V and she wouldn't miss, but she didn't because she wasn't willing to take the kid life. She was unhinged yes, but not totally, it isn't morale to make that kind of shot with the kid here but that doesn't mean she was to shoot the kid
"If you do [use hextech to kill silco/your enemy], this cycle of violence will never stop... this city needs healing. More than I ever realized." - Caitlyn when she wasn't the one in need of healing. Caitlyn will not heal by continuing the cycle of violence. She'll just be orphaning another young Zaunite.
@@umsdjgsndgjsdgh That wouldn't be in character for Vi: Vi, through the entire series, has been shown to approach all problems head-on, directly and without nuance. She saw Caitlyn about to shoot and did the most obvious thing: Stand in front of her. Not pause to consider the best way to defuse the situation.
The thing was Caitlyn’s original goal was to not put innocent lives in danger she was only after jinx however she did she changed idc if it’s a family member that was killed she didn’t care about the consequences or the chance of actually killing an innocent girl not mention the girl was moving around Vi was willing to let powder go and kill jinx however her seeing a kid try to protect her might’ve changed her mind thinking that powder might still be there
There is a TON of deep lore this season, much of which League players won't even know. 1) Amara is a member of the Black Rose, a super secret order of mages that practice many different dark arts, manipulating the ebb and flow of power across the world to their own ends. 2) The Grey has always been a part of Piltover & Zaun, it's essentially concentrated toxic fumes. Piltover has long exploited the mining colonies of the fissures, and when they achieved chemical powered industrial mining, they didn't like having to deal with the smog. So they trapped it in the underground, where it became concentrated and deadly, part of the reason the river turned toxic and people like Viktor grew up with health problems. The Kiaraman, specifically Cait's mother, eventually developed a way to vent the smog gradually, storing it in huge vaults until it could be vented in minimal bursts. This greatly reduced pollution in the undercity. Cairtlyn uses that knowledge and info to route the grey to places where she needs it, using advanced breathing apparatuses to keep her and her team safe, essentially using it like a suppression smoke. 3.) Ambessa's bodyguard, Rictus, wields a halberd that has subtle runs on it which flash green when he activates them. This is connected to a Noxian craft called Rune Carving, where certain mages can extract their intentions and bind a magical effect to an item, typically through its wielder's blood. The most famous of these Runic Weapons is a sword that belongs to the former Noxian Swordmaster, Riven, which has bound to it a series of Ionian wind techniques. Another notable user is Katarina, who can teleport to or recall her daggers via the blood runes inscribed on them.
RE #1: Based on her voice change and what happens with Elora later in the episode; it seems more likely that Amara is possessed by a Black Rose witch and is not actually a member of the cabal. RE #3: I thought her guard had the in game item Kaenic Rookern wrapped around his weapon. This currently is the most powerful magic resist or anti-magic item in the game. But it looks like he has the runes carved onto it.
With point 3 (because IDK League lore), does that mean that Jace's mage and Hextech have roots in Noxian Rune Crafting? Or are they just similar? Especially if it is through blood like you said and the Hextech is reacting to blood (Victor's blood in the core, Victor himself carving runes in his body)
I don't know, Jinx wanted to end it all, with Ekko s1 ep7 and now with Vi s2 ep3. My idea about it, is that She wants peace and She wants to find it by dying, but there is somenthing more added like shame about her own self and her actions in front of people from her past that had knowed Powder.
I understand Vi’s perspective the kid was covering Jinx she could have gotten in the way of the bullet also their weapons were glitching earlier they don’t know if it won’t happen again.
i think vi changed her mind when she saw that jinx still had people that cared for her (a kid even), that being said even if cait "had the shot", that rifle shoots through metal that kid was a goner lmao
Thoughts on caitlin specifically 1. Caitlin literally missed not once but TWICE! in that scene. so saying she wouldn't have missed is a lie. (Seocond one if you look closely she adjusts her aim to hit jinx when Vi steps in front of her. This is when it hits Vi) 2. Hextech was unstable so even if she is perfect there was still high risk of missing.
Getting rid of Jinx doesn't really secure any lives if the underlying reason for her existence isn't addressed. Renni attacked the memorial because Jayce, Vi, and the enforcers raided Silco's factory and killed her son (accidentally but still). Silco staged a rebellion against topside because they were being mistreated and Jinx grew up hating them because her parents were killed by enforcers. Caitlyn's methods will just create another Jinx, which is why Vi stops her after she sees Isha imo.
Here are my thoughts for the Yaboyrocklee crew and anyone else who to reads this. I had two takeaways regarding the Jinx/Vi/Caitlin situation: 24:15 My first is that after rewatching it, I don't think either of them want or can kill Jinx. Vi is held back by the nature of being sisters but also the subconscious guilt she has knowing that she kinda is the reason for Jinx. She understands that Jinx needs to die but doesn't have the confidence that she can go through with it. Another takeaway I had was that For Caitlin, she wants Jinx dead but I think she wanted Vi to be the one to do it. Because she had a clear shot at jinx and not only did she miss, she hit her finger. If she was aiming at the finger from the jump it still supports. My second thing has to do with Vi's actions. Starting with the gunpoint. Idk if anyone read or watched The Hate U Give but reminded me of the scene where sekani pulled the gun. She could have pulled the girl off, But in that moment it she realized that this was a cycle. That killing Jinx wouldn't make things go back to normal. Then when the kid protects she sees how both her and Jinx have . She realized that they both have now become like Vander and Silco. Jinx has become a symbol to her people and killing her without killing that kid would literally just produce another Jinx in the near future. She also saw that caitlyn was no longer doing this for the sake of peace in pilltover but strictly in pursuit of revenge. Vi out of all people knows how that feels and where it takes you. So I genuinely believe that those sequence of events was so much more than just who wanted to kill who. who was willing to kill who? and What they could have or shouldn't have done.
I think when Jinx said "To finish what's left in her family." She meant herself. She lost Vander and Silco and when she saw Vi wearing that enforcer's uniform, choosing the enemy's side. She thought there is no one left in her family. So she provoked Vi to kill her, one way to make amends for all the pain she caused. For killing her family. It was a suicide leaving a last F you to the topside by rerouting the vents of The Grey to them.
I always like to listen your theory guys, cause most of times you saying things like wha's been in my mind and other time you show me different perspective, must be fun discussing things with you all
Cait already missed like two times in that scene. She was consumed by the rage and wasn't calm. What was the point of hitting Jinx's finger if that wasn't a miss? She could have ended it on that shot, she had a clear shot right there. I don't trust Cait shooting when she is not herself
She didn't miss once in that scene, shooting her finger was a way to disarm her for Vi to take control of the situation and apprehend her. While she was still filled with rage, if possible Cait had the desire to bring Jinx back with them but the moment when that was no longer a possibility (Isha getting in the way) she had to ultimately take the shot to end Jinx. The only other miss I could think of that you're referring to would be when she shot Vi's gauntlet but that was quite obviously Vi getting in the way of the shot and intercepting it so theres no way for Cait to really have hit that. I recommend watching Necrit's recent video about all the hidden details in the first act of this season and he explains how Cait would not have missed as well as made sure Isha wasn't gonna get hit.
Nobody talking about how once the kid was disarmed and Jinx was pinned, Cait wanted to execute Jinx instead of arresting her. 🤨 What cop should be shooting a pinned down criminal instead of pulling out cuffs?
@@Vendea She is a terrorist mate, what do you think her sentence is going to be? Jail? Besides, the Council gave permission to execute her on the spot.
bruh the dude on the left vibing and be like do not get manipulated, cait she is from the begining of arcane 2 she manipulated by her own anger and hate cait right now not herself at all does not believe in justice and want revenge in arcane one she was like ohh the people in zone needs to heal and the place needs alot of fixing arcane 2 she calling them animals and want to wipe them all out like bruhhhhhhh
People forgetting that Cait wouldnt care if she shot the kid if she shot Jinx, and 2 the hextech was messing up so it could have haywire when she shot and missed jinx. 3 they could have arrested jinx but they wasted all that time arguing trying to kill her, they could have capture her.
The fact that Ambessa is still alive is pretty impressive honestly. They took her resources and got to her son but Ambessa still managed to flee the country with a strong force and is quickly regaining power.
Yeah i blame VI on this one, Caitlyn doesn't miss, even in her mental state she purposely went for the hand to get jinx away from VI. Despite not being in the right headspace she was calm and collected enough to take a shot that would save VI from the kid without killing the kid, the scope shows that she had a shot on the head but she still chose to shoot VI on the protected shoulder to make her move and have a better option. After VI blocked her shots Jinx was still in right where the kid wouldn't be hit. VI however sold big time, she hesitated and the kid got the drop on her, she could've put the kid out of way but she went against Cait instead, VI fumbled they could've got the safety of the kid and Jinx life
Except she did hit Vi. 'Vi stepped in front of her'. Yes, *before* the shot was fired. Vi was fully in view before she fired and she fired anyway. It doesn't matter how good a shot you are when you're head is spinning that badly. She would have killed that kid and might not have even regretted it considering everything that was said.
@mikaelgauslaa5547 Not while wearing the her hulk hands. If she'd grabbed that kid their arms were staying where they were while the body came with. Take them off and for all Vi knows Jinx flees. I'm not saying Vi did a smart thing, but she absolutely has the moral high ground. That said, it was very very dumb to send the others back. Even one extra pair of hands and this is a non-issue for them.
Miss sniper even managed that hand shot mid punch, that’s a fast painful target under normal circumstances, never mind when half the targets blood is underworld super crack that has her moving like a cheeta
@@Jaemy_art first season, vi trying to amp up Jace to keep on the murder crusade after accidentally killing a kid as “even more will die while silco is in charge” but soon as jinx is on the hot seat loses that nerve first shot. If Cait can hit the hand mid punch thrown with the expediency of underworld super crack I’m sure she can hit the heart/lungs of a still target even if the kid kept her head perfectly in the way of the headshot like the Jackie chan of human shields
Yeah Adorkable was on point there. Vi was just looking for a reason to get Jinx out of that situation alive. If it was Sevika or some other enemy it would have already been settled.
The real reason cait is wrong is because she was too focused on revenge to stop Sevika from committing another terrorist attack That one was her fight.
Cait is a sharp shooter, like the best sharp shooter in the city. She could probably hit Jinx if Vi would keep her feels out of it and let the girl aim. Vi is the one who started wavering. Vi didn't even really want to be on the same force that killed her parents in front of her eyes cold blood style, she held it together until she was atop her little sister. This is very emotional for Vi. Jinx had the shot last episode on Vi and Jinx cried and didn't take the shot. Jinx is still insecure powder from when she was little listening to her group tell her all she does is mess things up. Power/Jinx at this point after trying and losing so much, has given up and as she said "then let it all burn". If all your efforts are forlorn why even bother. Just accept what you are, for her, a Jinx. In her acceptance, she just wants things to end :( The tragedy of all of this is Vi never decides to steal her sister away and just leave town, give Jinx the chance she's always wanted, the love she's always needed. Jinx never wanted to be a Jinx, the world made her a Jinx, so she lives as something she never wanted to be, thus she just wants things to end.
Part I find most amusing is how cavalier she tried to be about children getting killed when Jace hit one, but as soon as her sister is in the mix “more will die if you don’t” falls out the window
While Cait is a sharpshooter, it was still a bunch of factors. Cait's weapon was glitching therefore is unpredictable. Cait does not care at this moment who gets hurt, she was willing to shoot Vi for a shot at Jinx, that is not good. The child is also there and although Vi could take the kid off, we have to think, Cait was willing to shoot Jinx in front of a child and risk the shot being towards the kid. That kid was right next to Jinx's face, no matter if Jinx was trying to push her off. Cait was still willing to take the shot, Mrs. "I don't want a full scale invansion because innocents will be harmed in the crossfire." She lost her target the minute she became a hypocrite and see the Undercity people as animals. She has lost her way and is blinded by rage and revenge. She has become another link in the chain of violence, she is no better if she took that shot and injured an innocent. We can't put the full blame on Vi when Cait is also in this as well, we can't trust her anymore cause she is taking the wrong choices as well.
People really don't seem to understand Vi's character. Through the entire series she's been shown to always take the most direct solution to a problem - when she saw Caitlyn aiming the gun at the kid, she did the obvious thing and stepped in front of it - not stop to consider the most effective way of handling the situation.
😃 also let it be known that ambessas son was actually at fault. Ambessa told her daughter mel in s1 that "he crossed the wrong mam" and when the son was killed that was suppose to be the end of it. But they were like nah fam we gonna clap yall. So she went to piltover looking for hex tech weapons. As you can see from the witch they would've let them be if she wasnt gonna seek revenge and looking for hex tech. 🤔🧐 so who's side is the truth if any of it.
Y'all beatin your chests while Cait literally puts on a Mussolini cape. Actually, given this year, yeah. That tracks. 24:00 no. This is something I see every reactor get wrong. Cait had a clear kill shot on Jinx, chose to shoot her finger off. It's a considerably cleaner shot than the one she claims she could have made seconds later. Why didn't Cait shoot to kill then? The truth is she wanted Vi to kill Jinx. PCait wanted Vi to avenge Cait's mom, for what I think are a lot of reasons. Partly, she doesn't wanna believe she or any topsider is a murderer, but Vi is from down there, so she can kill one of her own. Partly because on some level, she blames Vi for Cassandra's death. Vi stopped her from killing Jinx when she had a chance, an act that would have directly saved Cait's mom. She wants Vi to prove she's different than all the other undercity "animals". In a lot of ways, Cait is asking Vi to make the same choice Jinx asked her to make at the end of Season 1. A choice Vi refuses to make, as she did then, because, as it's been noted, she's "got a good heart." Caitlyn flat out says their goal in the Undercity is to capture Jinx. She's even hesitant when Vi says to take the shot. She doesn't want to kill Jinx. She wants to hurt Jinx. She wants Jinx to know it was Vi. And she wants that to hurt. She's way off the deep end.
@@kingragnarok7302 I wasn't on board at the start, but could definitely see their point by the end of the post. There are enough subtleties to support such a read, which they underlined. It doesn't have to be a deliberate wish on Cait's part, could be a subconscious need for Vi to prove that she is serious about ending Jinx. Because it IS puzzling as to why she didn't shoot Jinx in the head when it was wide open. Either she missed and got her finger instead, or she deliberately didn't kill her when she had the chance. Just incapacitated her enough for Vi to pin and end her. But Vi hesitated, then Isha interfered. So cait took it back into her hands. I don't necessarily agree with the "she doesn't wanna believe she or any topsider is a murderer" part. She was there when Marcus shot Ekko with intent to kill and almost shot her, too. She is more grounded than that. But the "I keep telling myself you are different" part lends credibility to mixed feelings about Vi. She mentioned her sharing blood with Jinx, so she might be blaming Vi at least a little, even though she knows it's illogical.
What a wild fucking headcanon, lmfao. Zero fucking proof involved, just decided to put all of the thoughts in your mind into a comment and this monstrosity emerged. Caitlyn was more than okay with killing people off. If you watch the clip at the beginning of the S2E3 you can see she kills some of the chembarons' goons. Caitlyn wasn't even close to being hesitant when she was taking the shot at the beginning of the fight. That's just how she takes aim. You can watch the prior episodes where Caitlyn is going to take a shot she takes a deep breath then shoots.
Caitlyn missed the shot on Jinx that took her finger - there was no reason to aim for a target that is both difficult and causes no significant damage. If she wanted to disable Jinx for Vi to finish her off, she would've shot her hand, arm, shoulder, legs, even her trigger finger - almost literally any other bodypart would've done the job better, whether she was aiming to kill or incapacitate. For some reason, people think that a character being established as "an excellent shot" means it is physically impossible for them to ever miss a shot - even in high-adrenaline and emotionally volatile situations.
u guys realise even if she shot the kid jynx would probably still have time to run away vis shes just a kid bs only took like 3 seconds by the time u get the dead body of the kid off jynx savika has already activated the grey and now you've killed a kid and 10000 more people still die..... maybe u can say that u can live w taking that risk because you've never had to but I'm not gonna believe u until u gotta make that choice and I see the look on your eye when u do what u know is right because u say so and that makes it so right?
Caitlin is driven by an easily justifiable hatred and anger. Imo, Caitlin will fortify her resolve by Ambessa's backing and with that, given hextech seems to be the more powerful weaponry and her being of Piltover. Her seeking 'justice' at seemingly all cost will be her own downfall or ultimate triumph. No other option, since Ambessa will likely be far worse with Mel missing(taken by the Black Rose). As she'd take over from Caitlin or fall apart in ways similar to Silco with the actual lose of her daughter.
Oh, nobody is saying that Cait's hatred and anger isn't justifiable, just like the people of Zaun's hatred and anger for Piltover for oppressing them for decades is justifiable. It's using chemical warfare and the willingness to execute someone in front of a kid or maybe even accidentally shooting the kid that make it a lot less justifiable ...
@@_MicZ_ oh I know. I was simply making an observation and predicting the main avenues for how things will fall on the Piltover side. I'm actually in favor of Zaun being able to do what Silco wanted, to separate and rule themselves...which they were in position to do. With that in mind I believe Jinx will unite Zaun somewhat similar to Silco/Jayce kinda did in season 1 for Piltover/Zaun elite(Council/Chem Barons). Only it'll be amongst the people of Zaun like Caitlin will clearly unite the people of Piltover.
Sure, cover a child in the blood and gray matter of her favorite person, that she's desperately trying to protect. That surely wouldn't traumatize her for life and perpetuate the cycle of violence.
Also, did you all who said Cait is wrong cause she risk to take a child off, also have strong opinion when Vi & Jayce literally kill a child at S1 or you just forget about that fact?
there’s a difference between finding out a factory is run by child labor and choosing to murder for your personal revenge in front of a child when your weapons are going haywire. either way you were obviously suppose to see Jayce and Vi’s violence as immoral with how they stopped hextech usage. this time the writers are framing Cait as somewhat justified with her grief highlighted in episode one. then she becomes a dictator.
@LocalTadpole03 both of them choosing revenge, cause I remember even after the reveal of child, Vi still want continue, saying that the child knows what they're doing by working with Silco. They both not in their right mind, but it kinda irked cause suddenly peoples blame Cait for doing what others doing since season 1.
For me, it's not the same. Jinx might be a terrorist, but she wasn't the first to attack, that was Topside. Almost every action agaisnt Topside is justified. How many innocent civilians have Jinx hurt versus the enforcer and council? So no, I don't think Caitlin is justified. And no, it isnt one vereus many. It is one versus many when killing every single person of power in Topside. Then it would be more justified. But Jinx? She doesn't have any power. She is nothing, a nobody.
I agree. Jinx is a war criminal in a war where the death toll was going to be more or less the same with or without her. She may have acted on her own in shooting the bomb at the council but if not her then someone else would have done it somewhere along the line. I don't at all believe that the council voting to be "good" to Zaun would have done this huge amazing thing for them. Now Cait is only human and so its very valid that she wants revenge but its crazy that just experiencing this one painful and unfair thing has set her tearing down the world to avenge her loss but Zaun itself is also like a being that has suffered numerous losses and unfair killings and their act of vengeance in killing a council is not valid in her eyes. Like because the story was very personalised we ofcourse know that Jinx didn't have any strong feelings of rebellious conviction or personal goals of war towards Piltover we can't even try to act like her actions were'nt manic, to us she just fucked shit up just because. If Jinx was a different character, imagine if she was a rebel as it were who had strong feelings of revenge and wanted someone to pay for her parents murder and her sisters arrest; if that kind of character had shot at the council hoping to distabilise Piltover and take over power as revenge would we not think she had a little justification? In my eyes its like all those revolutions against the royal families; innocent royals died together with bad royals. Cait is like a royal who survives that and starts looking for the particular person who was the hangman or the assassin that killed them...yes you will find that person but ultimately you're not going to get the closure you wanted because to them your royal family members were'nt people they were just a system they wanted to topple and demons that oppressed them. Cait is an interesting character who has a saviour complex we didn't explore too deeply. She is a little (lovely if I must say) princess who wanted to "help" Zaun but it was probably on her own terms. She talks about Zaunites deserving freedom but the only Zaunite she actually knows and sees is Vi and it is very easy to "clean vi up and accept her" because she is already a Chivalrous character. If Zaun accepted her help and they wanted to get revenge would she have joined them? If Zaun wanted to take over the council and rule Piltover would she have joined them? What if they wanted remuneration in the form of blood debts or to make Piltovians suffer starvation like the districts did a la hungergames style? Wouldn't the Zaunites be justified? would she support them? Cait needs to kill a couple hundreds with the manipulative blade of Ambessa and then we can revisit this conversation about killing Jinx. She needs to see the eyes of other daughters whose mother's will likely be killed by Ambessa on Cait's orders and then we can talk about whether she needs to find her mother's killer and Zaunites need to find theirs.... Idk but they could really do a lot of cool stuff with her awesome character
her introduction was opening fire with a Gatling gun on friend and foe alike shooting an ally in the shoulder after executing a girl, you may be barking up the wrong tree here
You've never had characters you love to watch but would never want to meet in real life? I root for what will make the characters and story more interesting....can't move that way in real life though.
Cait is pretty much the Hawk Eye of the League universe. When she said she wasn't gonna miss, I believed her. She was able to shoot Vi in both her hands when she stood in the way disarming her without injuring her further proving "she's an excellent shot." Unpopular opinion but it really feels like every choice Vi makes has a horrible negative effect, at this point I kinda want Jinx to just kill Vi.
Vi took a metal helmet off a shimmer zombie with her bare hands but couldn't move that kid off jinx while wearing gauntlets. I am Team Kaitlyn. You go General.
I really don't like what they've done with Vi. What so great in the beginning, but now they just turned her into a schoolgirl with a crush. Not only did she just met Caitlin, but Caitlin is also an Enforcer and she is a daughter to a power family who were partially responsible to almost all the suffering her people had. If Caitlin didn't broke up with her, I wouldn't doubt that this Vi would pick her over her own people. It's dusgusting whay they did to her character. She was so strong with no forced romance and wanted to fight her people snd for freedom. No
Agree with your opinion but I gotta inform you that Vi is canonically an enforcer in game lore. It's not a new addition its been decided out there for years lmao. It's just that show only audience is discovering it. But honestly the way it happened is what's irking me most. Like they could've given her a good set up to join. But they had to choose romance. Which is disappointing.
Vi has been selfish ever since the timeskip - she's not a superhero. The only person fighting for the people in Season 1 was Ekko and the Firelights. Vi just wanted revenge on Silco and to rescue Powder.
@@oberon9015yeah which isn't bad on principle. What is is her choosing to turn against her people & become a symbol of the forces that made her & her people's lives a living hell. I really had hope when she refused at first & reminded her what enforcers did to her. In this perspective I feel like jinx was in her right to be angry at vi for sticking with cait in season one. We were all so focused on her being mentally unstable that we forgot that she really just hates topsiders for basically ruining her life & killing her family as much as Vi was supposed to. Just like Vander back in the days or silco or sevika. She too has grown with that perpetual hatred towards them. It's not just a blind extremist one at that. Add to it her being raise by silco, seeing him always fighting for the zaun cause, it's no wonder she'd feel that way towards Vi. Now that feeling must be even bigger cuz she's got silco's legacy left unchecked. She's most likely gonna feel strongly about it with her sister becoming a traitor & the attachment to silco's memory.
@@XiaoyuuuYT nah Vander didn't raise arms against his people for a woman lmao. He made a deal with a rare good one for the safety of his people. Don't mix things up. No matter the guilt you feel towards your lover, it's no excuse to betray your people and joint the military forces that oppress them. Girly even kept a blind eye on cait using the gray against them lmao. So what if her sis killed her mother? What about her own parents ? What about all the people dead at the hands of the same forces she joined? Where is that shame & guilt while she uses poisonous gas to get what her girlfriend wants? So what cait's mom is more valuable than the people she grew up with? This selective responsibility is honestly super hypocritical of her.
They Caitlin such a better character this season. I really hope they don't ruined it by giving her a predictable amd boring redemption arc. I want her to go full villian.
Even some "villains" in this series are humanized pretty well. Hardly anyone full on "evil". I just want it to be well written regardless of the direction and fit her character. If she becomes completely different from how she once was in a way that doesn't fit (ex: full on villain just for the sake of it), that could feel forced and unnatural.
I don’t realy see her ass a villain, my mentality may be harsh but vi is an idiot and shouldn’t have gotten in the way, you can see before vi gets in the way cait is aiming for the chest where there is no risk of over pen hitting the kid, even in that dire moment cait was in control, I’m hoping they don’t go the round of some woe is me revenge bad and makes you bad route but with the choice of framing and ominous music I don’t have confidence
@@raec5426You can be a villain and not be evil. And I disagree. If she has a redemption and a happy ending, that would feel more forced and boring in my opinion.

If you guys remember in s1e5 Viktor's blood fell down the hatch as he cough , might be the reason the hex gate being corrupted
That makes sense as to why these issues are only just now manifesting actually.
Viktors blood was also infused with shimmer when he fixed his leg, could be how he has an influence over it
oh shitttt u right
caitlyns mom: the people of the underground deserve to breath : )
caitlyn: UNLESS
Very interesting to see the range of reactions to Caitlyn weaponizing the smog. Honestly, chemical warfare is pretty wild.
surprisingly mild, I’d expect something with big ominous nicknames to be more lethal, but has yet to kill anyone
@@Shadow-sword i wouldnt be surprised if there were severe long term consequences to it, less of an immediate death and more of a "live the rest of your life in agony and exhaustion"
@@aidanleffler4897 oh probably, just suprised me that there was no immediate death getting gassed out like that
@@Shadow-sword I'm sure Caitlyn wouldn't have used it if it caused instant death.
Episode 1 Cait when they talk about invading: "If we invade, Innocent civilians will be caught in the crossfire!"
Episode 3 Cait: "I will blow a child's head off if it means killing Jinx."
And you're supporting her becoming a dictator? Lol Cait is LOSING it.
watch the scene again slow it, down, she shot VI shoulder to have better option when she had Jinx head.
But Vi was ok with Jayce killing the kid saying more will die if they don't do what needs to be done.
Now she has a problem with Cait killing a kid to do what needs to be done.
@@fallinggravity9964 Jayce had a big hammer.
@@fallinggravity9964 It's one thing to make justifications after the fact - quite another to knowingly put a child in the crosshairs.
"What are you shooting for, Kirraman?"
Watch the scene again and slow it down.
@@rossallison1835 not a possessed by A black rose witch, she's probably a LB clone. Her lore can be very fucking confusing.
13:56 LMAOOOO that edit was so unexpected, oh I love it
I understand Vi’s perspective the kid was covering Jinx she could have gotten in the way of the bullet also their weapons were glitching earlier they don’t know if it won’t happen again.
"What are you shooting for, Kirraman?"
i think vi changed her mind when she saw that jinx still had people that cared for her (a kid even), that being said even if cait "had the shot", that rifle shoots through metal that kid was a goner lmao
Thoughts on caitlin specifically
1. Caitlin literally missed not once but TWICE! in that scene. so saying she wouldn't have missed is a lie.
(Seocond one if you look closely she adjusts her aim to hit jinx when Vi steps in front of her. This is when it hits Vi)
2. Hextech was unstable so even if she is perfect there was still high risk of missing.
If I was a citizen of Zaun I would hate the people on topside.
Hahahahahaha!!! Caitlin flashing her rank after beating Sevika!!!! Guys, your editor is on point!!!!
Here are my thoughts for the Yaboyrocklee crew and anyone else who to reads this.
I had two takeaways regarding the Jinx/Vi/Caitlin situation:
24:15 My first is that after rewatching it, I don't think either of them want or can kill Jinx. Vi is held back by the nature of being sisters but also the subconscious guilt she has knowing that she kinda is the reason for Jinx. She understands that Jinx needs to die but doesn't have the confidence that she can go through with it.
Another takeaway I had was that
For Caitlin, she wants Jinx dead but I think she wanted Vi to be the one to do it.
I swear my eternal loyalty to house Medarda!
Yeah it’s very clear that Jinx has been suicidal since season 1, she just wants to go
"Dont get manipulated kate" too late 😂
Vi could have easily yanked that girl away from Jinx tho, she got cold feet and was using the kid as an excuse.
Jail? Besides, the Council gave permission to execute her on the spot.

she manipulated by her own anger and hate
cait right now not herself at all
does not believe in justice and want revenge
in arcane one she was like ohh the people in zone needs to heal and the place needs alot of fixing
arcane 2 she calling them animals and want to wipe them all out

People forgetting that Cait wouldnt care if she shot the kid if she shot Jinx, and 2 the hextech was messing up so it could have haywire when she shot and missed jinx. 3 they could have arrested jinx but they wasted all that time arguing trying to kill her, they could have capture her.
Yeah, I think Victor caused the Hextech to corrupt. At first it was just his blood. But on the second time, Shimmer was running through his veins.
It's all about Ambessa Medarda's plot in ACT 1
I think she may be our big villain for the season honestly.....our replacement for Silco.
(19:33) I started bumping my chest too, something just took over me 😂 team Ambessa's dictatorship is looking pretty solid rn

Best takes on Cait I’ve seen so far
there is a reason ambessa is scared of the black rose
The fact that Ambessa is still alive is pretty impressive honestly. They took her resources and got to her son but Ambessa still managed to flee the country with a strong force and is quickly regaining power.
Mel mom have a new hound to play with
Yeah i blame VI on this one, Caitlyn doesn't miss, even in her mental state she purposely went for the hand to get jinx away from VI. Despite not being in the right headspace she was calm and collected enough to take a shot that would save VI from the kid without killing the kid,
the scope shows that she had a shot on the head but she still chose to shoot VI on the protected shoulder to make her move and have a better option.
Vi was almost superhuman even as a teenager. She could've literally grab the kid throw her away easily once Caitlyn removed the gun, but nope.
@@mikaelgauslaa5547 Exactly lol Vi is super strong she could literally take the kid out of the way easily, while cait getting ready to shoot
Arcane season 2 is an awesome show
Agreed
Peak. Its almost time for the next batch.
24:10 yeah, thats what im saying, shes just unconciously find a reason to stop caitlyn.
Yeah, because the kid could simply be pulled off after being disarmed. lol
Then that's the dilemma. Not that hard to understand, really
That child pulled out a weapon on Vi, as far as I'm concerned she's an enemy.
Guess some people just can't help cheering for police brutality and suppression of human rights. Or child killing.
What a world we live it.
All hail the new Queen 👑
Wards 😅
In her acceptance, she just wants things to end :(
The tragedy of all of this is Vi never decides to steal her sister away and just leave town, give Jinx the chance she's always wanted, the love she's always needed.
Cait already missed when she hit jinx's finger, so "probably" making the shot doesn't cut it.
If kid is pulled off, that removes that from the equation as far as aim. lol
Problem could have been solved if she just said "pull the kid off her" 😂
1) Cait had a clean shot the first time but didn't take it.
2) Vi could've easily pulled that kid off Jinx.
I just don't think that's what Cait should be shooting for. 🤷♀️
Why do you just take Ambessa's word for that? Did it not occur to you she might be biased on the subject?
dont let these comment get to u 😂 real ones defend caitlyn. just like real ones defended dany targeryan
YESSSSSS FAM
A choice Vi refuses to make, as she did then, because, as it's been noted, she's "got a good heart."
Caitlyn flat out says their goal in the Undercity is to capture Jinx. She's even hesitant when Vi says to take the shot. She doesn't want to kill Jinx.
She wants to hurt Jinx. She wants Jinx to know it was Vi. And she wants that to hurt.
She's way off the deep end.
Damn, that's a crazy headcanon. Yapped about it without a single proof.
Only it'll be amongst the people of Zaun like Caitlin will clearly unite the people of Piltover.
nahh caith should have move to the right and shoot i think she wouldnt miss
Sure, cover a child in the blood and gray matter of her favorite person, that she's desperately trying to protect.
That surely wouldn't traumatize her for life and perpetuate the cycle of violence.
i cant f with topside yo, just cant
The kid name isha and a girl
Piltover are the oppressors, zaun are the oppressed. Both sides have done immoral things but there’s one good side here
That's an absolutely insane statement.
Jinx had enough power to be a threat to attack. She definitely isn't a "nobody" in that regard to be a threat to ignore.

Yes. And there is nothing wrong with that. Why because at the end of the day it all comes down to what you wanna see on screen
That, is almost like reality and fiction aren't the same thing. Weird how that works
@@FiniteVoid RIGHT???
I wonder if Viktor will be a good guy. I doubt he will help Caitlin and topside.
He'll be too busy spreading the glorious evolution
Victor is doing nothing but helping people as he did in season 1 so I have no reason to doubt my boy.
Could that beast be Vendor? It looks like when Vendor took that liquid.
And that heart could be his daughter's, Vendor's or Silco's.
Vander*
@@rebornjm Vendor and Cisco actually.
She literally just did a Vander lmao chill out
@@oberon9015yeah which isn't bad on principle.
As she is now, she doesn't really need a redemption arc. I think Ambessa is the main villain of the season, not Caitlyn.
@@Shadow-swordI disagree completely. VI is an idiot for teaming up with Caitlin and Topside. They are the true enemy.
@@raec5426You can be a villain and not be evil.
And I disagree. If she has a redemption and a happy ending, that would feel more forced and boring in my opinion.
