After Ekko tells Jinx that he’s going to sit there and talk her out of blowing them BOTH up, she decides to jump instead to not hurt him. She probably thought he was a hallucination in the beginning which makes it even more sad.
I hadn't thought of that view... It would actually make total sense. Maybe him doing something as random as saying he would sit down and talk made her at least consider him being real... Enough to choose to change the place where she would explode. But man... I just wanted to see the continuation of that scene... Like, what happened? Did she drop the grenade? Did they hug? Dude... In how I recount things, Jinx is observant enough to note three things: 1, that Ekko keeps getting closer to her in mere moments. 2, that his new device thing has her monkey inside it. 3, that he used "old friend" twice, once when talking about her, and once when referencing his talk with Powder. She tries to recall when she ever said something like that to him, but can't find it. It's just enough to intrigue her to ask, "why" So they talk. (Apparently some of the cut content for Act 3 reveals that there were supposed to be more universe hopping shenanigans, and in each of these universes, it was Powder and Ekko; I feel this strengthens the theming.) They start coming up with a plan to help Vi. Sevika gets involved after a lot of the mushier stuff between Ekko and Jinx concludes, there's a moment about Isha between Sev and J. As they're on the fly up to Piltover on the war balloon, Ekko looks at Jinx, really looks at her and says, "Can we pretend like it's the first time?" When Jinx responds, it's seemingly agreeable (think the prison breakout with Vi) but she already knows how today is going to end. The cycle of killing ends. She walks away. "Sometimes, to take a step forward, you gotta leave some things behind." And she doesn't want to tell him that he'll be left behind. But if he knew, he'd be okay with it.
To me I saw it more of a progression of her mind state. She went from not caring anymore, to "I still want to die but I don't have to blow up Ekko as well", to eventually wanting to live
Viktor drops 2 of the hardest lines ever this season with that which inspires us to our greatest good is also the cause of our greatest evil and there is no prize to perfection, only an end to pursuit
There’s actually evidence that Jinx did survive. If you look closely, you can see a Shimmer lightning trail leaving the explosion; the type Jinx leaves when she is using her increased speed. Cait is examining the blueprints of that area, specifically the air vents. That hints she escaped through them. The final scene is an airship leaving. In the first episode, Powder said she was going to ride one someday. That’s Jinx leaving. She’s walking away from the cycle.

Jayce and Viktorare literal soulmates, here and in every timeline. I don't care what kind of love, platonic or romantic, but it made me sob. They gave up their lives for eachother, they mean more to eachother than anything else, partners in the most honest sense. Their final scene was so beautiful and intimat and just georgeously animated. What a stunning show

Just some explanation: Heimerdinger isn't actually dead. He is a Yordle and he can't die. When a Yordle "dies" they get sent back to Bandle City which is it's own dimension. That's probably what he meant with "Back in a wink" line, because he knows he will be back very soon, just not in the arcane series. Jinx also probably isn't dead. You can see a trail of shimmer when the bomb explodes towards an air vent. Caitlyn is looking at pictures of the hexgate airvent and holding the monkey-bomb head (the one used by Jinx to explode Warwick). and then she smiles. The last scene is an airship flying away leaving piltover behind. Which references Powders first words in the series, when she looks at an airship and says "One day im gonna ride in one of those things". Add that with the obvious Jinx schizophrenia text "The end" heavily implies she is on that ship leaving Zaun and Piltover behind to start over and build something new. Breaking the cycle of killing, as she learned from Silco's manifestation, when she was in jail. Loved this show and loved watching it with you
One small thing - I don't think Viktor was trying to kill Jayce when he blasted that laser at him. If he wanted to kill him, he would have. He was blasting a hole through the roof and destroying any obsticles in their way.
Powder is alive !!! No body, no death. The first sentence that Powder says in the show in the first episode is ( one day, I’m gonna ride in one of those things ) And the last scene of Arcane she rides one of those things and flies away across the sea, leaving the city. Also Silco say ( I think the cycle only ends when you find the will to walk away ) And also Ekko say ( Sometimes taking a leap forward means leaving a few things behind ) Jinx vs Powder fly away in the boat that she said that one day she would ride
Jinx also knows that Vi will never give up on her family, on her sister, on Vander on Ca… and will never let him go, will never be able to let go and move on. She realizes at that moment at the end with Vander and Jinx decides that it is better for her to walk away so that her sister can be happy with her girlfriend and can move on.
Singed gets a happy ending because he understood what no one did- He set his goal, and he NEVER ONCE deviated or compromised from it. Every single other character does. So they fail, falter, and lose. But Singed never once gives up on his goal, stepping on people, crushing them, ending them as needed just like everyone else - he just accepts it all more readily as sacrifices for his goal.
Damn. This is a really good take. When they confirmed he was Ori's dad I had a feeling it would end kinda decent for him regardless and the way he always seemed to just get mini wins from event scenario in act 2 specifically also made me think he was playing the game incredibly well but I've never really fully looked at it the way you described. I would even argue that the only difference between him and Ekko in regards to their endings kinda shows what happens when you work towards a goal whilst sticking to your guns but remain morally just (Ekko returning from the good TL) VS what happens when you work towards a goal and abandon any moral compass
I think it was a redemeption arc for Ekko because he learned that in both universes he was the start of the whole turn of events by giving that job to Vi. In the other universe it costed Vi's life, in this one, it costed nearly everyone. So he was determined to fix it. It was fitting that he was the one that had that power to prevent annihilation. Also, did you notice that Vi was humming the song from the start of Ep. 1 of season 1 when Powder was singing as they're walking across the bridge? It really is the little details that impress me in this entire series. Well done on the reaction guys! Love you both!
Hopefully we get like a movie to tie off the loose ends about where Jinx is going, what happened to Warwick etc. and setup the Noxian storyline(hopefully with Mel as the main character, since we see Swain's crow[Noxian character] and Mel returning to Noxus)

Meanwhile, the men, Jayce and Victor, clashed over conflicting ideologies, emotions, and trust-a dynamic rarely depicted in mainstream media. This boldly challenges traditional gender norms, showcasing that women can be both strong and cunning, while men can exhibit emotional and intellectual depth. Arcane truly is an unforgettable experience!
I understand but it shows everyone clashing in different ways no matter their gender. Playing to their strengths, dealing with their weaknesses. We are more alike than one might think, besides our bodies.
OMG, don't fking bring politics into this. You fking ruining show. By bringing the divisive gender politics into this. This is about people and human being and we absolutely loved it.
Some of the storylines and events felt like maybe they were a little rushed or didn't get a full resolution, but I still felt satisfied with the ending. Also, I love how they came back around to this being a story about a broken family trying to find the strength to forgive one another for the pain they've caused. This was always Vi and Powders story, two sisters torn apart by grief, brought back together in this season in an attempt to heal each other. I'm gonna miss this show but I can't wait for the other stories they tell in this world.
@@xzombo32 Well there has to be to some extent, this was also Jayce and Viktors story, Ekko and Heimerdinger, all of Zaun and Piltover, ll these stories were important and needed to be elaborated on, but I definitely feel you.
One things I really wanted to see was Le Blancs face being shown cuz there was so many hints to her being the deceiver and players would absolutely love to see more of the champs they love appear in the series but remembered that the story is ending and moving on to the next story of Runeterra so adding a big antagonist like her at this point wouldn't make much value to her character and the story.
theres a few bits of evidence that jinx survived; 1. right before the explosion, you can see a pink streak (jinxes shimmer ability) going away from the blast. if it was jinx she wouldve been far enough to survive. 2. Vi didnt watch her die, she turned away and started grieving before she set off the bomb. The writers mightve done this so that even if jinx survived or died, vi wouldnt know that, so her arc will still come full circle and she would have to let go of powder (and now jinx). 3. Near the end caitlyn was looking at the hexgate blueprint/layout while holding one of jinxes bomb trap parts, and then she smiled when she noticed there were tunnels built right where she "died" so she thought there was a chance that she survived. 4. Powder said that she would ride a blymp one day, and the last scene was a blymp flying away. Could be that jinx took that blymp out of piltover and she left everything behind Just a note that these are little breadcrumbs that the writers purposely added to let people interperate the ending, theres no confirmed end to jinxes story on purpose, to leave some ambiguity. I heard some people say arcane wouldnt make sense if jinx didnt die, but thats not really true, because if jinx left everything behind to start over and everyone thought she was dead then its basically just the same as her dying.
. Jinx said goodbye to him the same way she did to silco, touching his face. However Jinx aint dead things that show she's alive. 1. Purple trail zoops off before the explosion 2. Caitlyn studying the floor plans and zooming in on the air ducts, shes holding the monkey bombs head so she didnt find a body and is investigating. She knows 3. Episode 1 started with powder saying "One day im gonna ride one of those" and it ends showing the same zeplin and a jinx screen. 4. Silco in s2e8 says to break the cycle you have to "walk away" This act is waaaaay better on second watch. The first time it feels breakneck speed. Rewatching you can see soooooo many things more.
37:37 this is indeed the best one. Because the rune that Viktor gave this time is the same rune Ekko used to create the time machine. In other universes it didnt work and they lost because Ekko didnt have that machine (you can even see Jinx's aircraft crashed like in this one in the future Jayce saw). Ekko is the MVP.
Fun fact. The raven you see in the end is actually a demon raven from Swain (the grand general and leader of Noxus) who collected the corrupted hextec crystal from Jayces hammer.
I think these might be the first reactors I’ve seen recognize the family man who sent his wife and kid away, nuanced moment but props for calling it out guys!
Jinx is alive. She escaped right before the explosion (Shimmer eyes line from the explosion) through ventilation and air ducts (Cait watching plans of hexgates while holding part of Jinx's bomb). She masked it so Vi and Ekko could move with their lives, not just trying to "save Powder", but to be able to be happy eventually.
The Raven with all the eyes! at the end and the skyship leaving could be a hint to what the next story will lead to. Writer also mentioned he is a Huge fan of Hiemerdinger, so there is probably more of him coming. There many shots of ravens throughout the show! Oh and if you can find it , there is a pink streak before the explosion!
there is a theory that jinx is alive. In the end, Caitlyn was checking map and it says there is a vent, and she smiles while holding a piece of grenade that jinx used. Also when jinx explodes the grenade you see a pink beam going at the edge so maybe she escaped ?. and in the last scene of the show you see a ship going somewhere and there is jinx graffiti on it, jinx said in the first episode of the show that she will go on it one day. Is it all really coincidence
The ruin Vik gave to Jayce was the acceleration rune, that is what ekko said he used to create the z-drive ( he told heimer he used "Jayces Acceleration rune"). That's why the current viktor was surprised by the existence of the device because it was the one that created another anomaly and was the only thing that can damage him.
I've been watching so many reacts to Act 3 because I love it so much and keep wanting to relive it. I loved your react as one of the best because I feel you guys picked up and reacted to a lot of my favorite scenes where I saw others not react at all lol. Jinx is definitely alive, shimmer shifted out, Caitlyn looking at the hexgate while holding Jinx's monkey head, and the blimp at the end that Powder said she would ride one day.
Jinx is probably alive. 1)We see a shimmer colored streak shot in to a duct just before the explosion. 2)Wen Caitlyn smirk looking the schematics of the hex gates does a close on the the duct and we see that is a ventilation duct and connects to the outside. 3)One of the last scenes is a random ship going away and a very similar to one that we see on the first episode and powder says that one day will ride one of those 4)A more meta one, Jinx os one of league more popular characters even if they don't have plans to bring her back in a long format such as arcane she is the kinda of character that make sense have at disposal.
Big clue to Jinx still being alive - last scene with Vi and Caitlyn after Caitlyn has investigated the hexgate plans - she asks Vi if she's still in the fight but still looks thoughful when Vi smiles and leans on her. the music playing is the same music that played when Silco was explaining to Jinx why he lied about Vi being alive (to protect her) - Caitlyn is debating whether to tell Vi that her sister is alive, she doesn't. She is now doing to Vi what Silco did to Jinx to protect her. as i said, same music score.
If I had a nickel for every time in an Arcane season finale that a child killed their parent figure and the parent's final words were ones of encouragement and affirmation, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.
Viewers be aware.... Riot announced THREE SPIN OFFS are coming set in different kingdoms within the same realm of Arcane. It will introduce a whole cast on new characters but also follow SOME FEW from Arcane.
tbf dont hate victor he gave jayce every chance to come and see without all that war goin on. It was also jayce who attacked victor and made him like that in the first place.
I don't know if you noticed because I didn't see you mention it, but when Jinx and Ekko arrive to help in the fight Jinx is using Ekko's jacket and Ekko is using Jinx's body paint.
Just to let you know Jink didn’t die, when the explosion happen you can see a pink line zoom out of there before it even exploded and when Caitlyn was checking the vent ducts she smiled knowing that she is still alive
They should have show us the perspective of Jinx when Ekko saves her. She is very percptive, she noticed his damage building up out of nothing, and she knows her bombs 😅

They confirmed 3 new different shows based out of Demacia, Noxus, and Ionia. There’s a possibility jinx could pop up in another show because there’s lots of hints that she survived and left.
So clear some vague League of Legends lore (the stuff I understand anyways). Heimerdinger might not be dead because he said to Ekko the he’ll see him in a week. Jinx could be alive because if you slow the explosion down you see Jinx’s shimmer streak bolt away and Caitlyn was checking the Hextech silo and their air ducts. We see a lone airship fly off and that could be Jinx on the ship harkening back to a comment Powder said in the very first episode about one day riding one. The crow growing extra eyes is most likely a character named Swain. And Singed daughter is one of the metal creatures from the fight and she’s a character in League named Orianna.
Screw the production team for this episode. They cut the Jinx and Ekko moment in the beginning! Ekko is supposed to tell jinx about the good version of her in an alternate universe and that she could still do things right, that's why she changed her mind and fight the war.
idk, Jinx doesn't want anyone to call her Powder or trying to bring her old persona back, she wants people to recognize her as who she wants to be, Jinx. So honestly idk if she would've reacted nicely when and if Ekko brought up the other Powder from the AU because she's not and will never be 'powder'. Idk that's just my guess
Obligatory jinx isn't dead comment, if you slow it down just before the explosion you a see a streak off purple the same streak we always see when jinx uses her shimmer speed, she escaped through the air ducts cait was investigating on the computer and left on the balloon ship at the end which is a callback to s1 e1 when powder said she was gonna ride in one those some day, also remember s2 EP 8 in the prison silco said the cycle only ends when you find the will to walk away, which she does, just like vi couldn't give up on Vander she also wouldn't give up on jinx thus she faked her death, so her sister could finally move on and be happy.
Consolation to the Jinx fans, she's still alive ❤️ 1. Pink shimmer streak at the end of explosion 2. Caitlyn looking at the hextech gate schematics of the vents 3. If you loved Arcane, I highly recommend delving more into the league of legends lore. There are tons of cinematics with other characters from Runeterra (name of the world where Arcane takes place). One video I highly recommend is called "Kin of the Stained Blade," on RUclips which takes place in Ionia, another region in Runeterra. It follows the story of two of my favorite characters, and it's a great watch with even more lore. Although note, the lore is good but don't fall for the Trojean horse of playing the game.
Riot already announced 3 new TV shows based on Noxus, Ionia and Demacia. And one of them is for over a year in development. Next show will probably be based on Noxus but there is a good chance that it might be Ionia because Ionia and Noxus are at war.

Kill Cait just to be turned by Victor? I get that Cait did her wrong with the relationship thing but this seems VERY drastic for her character to do. It also kinda destroys watching all her past scenes again imo.

Caitlyn is looking at pictures of the hexgate airvent and holding the monkey-bomb head (the one used by Jinx to explode Warwick). and then she smiles. The last scene is an airship flying away leaving piltover behind. Which references Powders first words in the series, when she looks at an airship and says "One day im gonna ride in one of those things". Add that with the obvious Jinx schizophrenia text "The end" heavily implies she is on that ship leaving Zaun and Piltover behind to start over and build something new. Breaking the cycle of killing, as she learned from Silco's manifestation, when she was in jail.

Jinx also knows that Vi will never give up on her family, on her sister, on Vander on Ca… and will never let him go, will never be able to let go and move on.
She realizes at that moment at the end with Vander and Jinx decides that it is better for her to walk away so that her sister can be happy with her girlfriend and can move on.

Singed gets a happy ending because he understood what no one did-
He set his goal, and he NEVER ONCE deviated or compromised from it. Every single other character does. So they fail, falter, and lose. But Singed never once gives up on his goal, stepping on people, crushing them, ending them as needed just like everyone else - he just accepts it all more readily as sacrifices for his goal.
Damn. This is a really good take. When they confirmed he was Ori's dad I had a feeling it would end kinda decent for him regardless and the way he always seemed to just get mini wins from event scenario in act 2 specifically also made me think he was playing the game incredibly well but I've never really fully looked at it the way you described.

I would even argue that the only difference between him and Ekko in regards to their endings kinda shows what happens when you work towards a goal whilst sticking to your guns but remain morally just (Ekko returning from the good TL) VS what happens when you work towards a goal and abandon any moral compass
I think it was a redemeption arc for Ekko because he learned that in both universes he was the start of the whole turn of events by giving that job to Vi. In the other universe it costed Vi's life, in this one, it costed nearly everyone. So he was determined to fix it. It was fitting that he was the one that had that power to prevent annihilation. Also, did you notice that Vi was humming the song from the start of Ep. 1 of season 1 when Powder was singing as they're walking across the bridge? It really is the little details that impress me in this entire series. Well done on the reaction guys! Love you both!

Hopefully we get like a movie to tie off the loose ends about where Jinx is going, what happened to Warwick etc. and setup the Noxian storyline(hopefully with Mel as the main character, since we see Swain's crow[Noxian character] and Mel returning to Noxus)

I understand but it shows everyone clashing in different ways no matter their gender. Playing to their strengths, dealing with their weaknesses. We are more alike than one might think, besides our bodies.
OMG, don't fking bring politics into this. You fking ruining show. By bringing the divisive gender politics into this. This is about people and human being and we absolutely loved it.
Some of the storylines and events felt like maybe they were a little rushed or didn't get a full resolution, but I still felt satisfied with the ending. Also, I love how they came back around to this being a story about a broken family trying to find the strength to forgive one another for the pain they've caused. This was always Vi and Powders story, two sisters torn apart by grief, brought back together in this season in an attempt to heal each other. I'm gonna miss this show but I can't wait for the other stories they tell in this world.
Would have loved if they focused more on Vi and Jinx. I felt their became more of a side plot.
@@xzombo32 Well there has to be to some extent, this was also Jayce and Viktors story, Ekko and Heimerdinger, all of Zaun and Piltover, ll these stories were important and needed to be elaborated on, but I definitely feel you.
One things I really wanted to see was Le Blancs face being shown cuz there was so many hints to her being the deceiver and players would absolutely love to see more of the champs they love appear in the series but remembered that the story is ending and moving on to the next story of Runeterra so adding a big antagonist like her at this point wouldn't make much value to her character and the story.

theres a few bits of evidence that jinx survived;
1. right before the explosion, you can see a pink streak (jinxes shimmer ability) going away from the blast. if it was jinx she wouldve been far enough to survive.
2. Vi didnt watch her die, she turned away and started grieving before she set off the bomb. The writers mightve done this so that even if jinx survived or died, vi wouldnt know that, so her arc will still come full circle and she would have to let go of powder (and now jinx).
3. Near the end caitlyn was looking at the hexgate blueprint/layout while holding one of jinxes bomb trap parts, and then she smiled when she noticed there were tunnels built right where she "died" so she thought there was a chance that she survived.
4. Powder said that she would ride a blymp one day, and the last scene was a blymp flying away. Could be that jinx took that blymp out of piltover and she left everything behind
Just a note that these are little breadcrumbs that the writers purposely added to let people interperate the ending, theres no confirmed end to jinxes story on purpose, to leave some ambiguity.
I heard some people say arcane wouldnt make sense if jinx didnt die, but thats not really true, because if jinx left everything behind to start over and everyone thought she was dead then its basically just the same as her dying.

This act is waaaaay better on second watch. The first time it feels breakneck speed. Rewatching you can see soooooo many things more.
37:37 this is indeed the best one. Because the rune that Viktor gave this time is the same rune Ekko used to create the time machine. In other universes it didnt work and they lost because Ekko didnt have that machine (you can even see Jinx's aircraft crashed like in this one in the future Jayce saw). Ekko is the MVP.

Jinx is alive. She escaped right before the explosion (Shimmer eyes line from the explosion) through ventilation and air ducts (Cait watching plans of hexgates while holding part of Jinx's bomb). She masked it so Vi and Ekko could move with their lives, not just trying to "save Powder", but to be able to be happy eventually.

The Raven with all the eyes! at the end and the skyship leaving could be a hint to what the next story will lead to. Writer also mentioned he is a Huge fan of Hiemerdinger, so there is probably more of him coming. There many shots of ravens throughout the show!

there is a theory that jinx is alive. In the end, Caitlyn was checking map and it says there is a vent, and she smiles while holding a piece of grenade that jinx used. Also when jinx explodes the grenade you see a pink beam going at the edge so maybe she escaped ?. and in the last scene of the show you see a ship going somewhere and there is jinx graffiti on it, jinx said in the first episode of the show that she will go on it one day.

The ruin Vik gave to Jayce was the acceleration rune, that is what ekko said he used to create the z-drive ( he told heimer he used "Jayces Acceleration rune"). That's why the current viktor was surprised by the existence of the device because it was the one that created another anomaly and was the only thing that can damage him.
I've been watching so many reacts to Act 3 because I love it so much and keep wanting to relive it. I loved your react as one of the best because I feel you guys picked up and reacted to a lot of my favorite scenes where I saw others not react at all lol. 1)We see a shimmer colored streak shot in to a duct just before the explosion.
2)Wen Caitlyn smirk looking the schematics of the hex gates does a close on the the duct and we see that is a ventilation duct and connects to the outside.
3)One of the last scenes is a random ship going away and a very similar to one that we see on the first episode and powder says that one day will ride one of those
4)A more meta one, Jinx os one of league more popular characters even if they don't have plans to bring her back in a long format such as arcane she is the kinda of character that make sense have at disposal.
Big clue to Jinx still being alive - last scene with Vi and Caitlyn after Caitlyn has investigated the hexgate plans - she asks Vi if she's still in the fight but still looks thoughful when Vi smiles and leans on her. the music playing is the same music that played when Silco was explaining to Jinx why he lied about Vi being alive (to protect her) - Caitlyn is debating whether to tell Vi that her sister is alive, she doesn't. She is now doing to Vi what Silco did to Jinx to protect her. as i said, same music score.

They confirmed 3 new different shows based out of Demacia, Noxus, and Ionia. There’s a possibility jinx could pop up in another show because there’s lots of hints that she survived and left.
So clear some vague League of Legends lore (the stuff I understand anyways). Heimerdinger might not be dead because he said to Ekko the he’ll see him in a week. Jinx could be alive because if you slow the explosion down you see Jinx’s shimmer streak bolt away and Caitlyn was checking the Hextech silo and their air ducts. We see a lone airship fly off and that could be Jinx on the ship harkening back to a comment Powder said in the very first episode about one day riding one. The crow growing extra eyes is most likely a character named Swain. And Singed daughter is one of the metal creatures from the fight and she’s a character in League named Orianna.

Screw the production team for this episode. They cut the Jinx and Ekko moment in the beginning! Ekko is supposed to tell jinx about the good version of her in an alternate universe and that she could still do things right, that's why she changed her mind and fight the war.
idk, Jinx doesn't want anyone to call her Powder or trying to bring her old persona back, she wants people to recognize her as who she wants to be, Jinx. So honestly idk if she would've reacted nicely when and if Ekko brought up the other Powder from the AU because she's not and will never be 'powder'. Idk that's just my guess

If you loved Arcane, I highly recommend delving more into the league of legends lore. There are tons of cinematics with other characters from Runeterra (name of the world where Arcane takes place).
One video I highly recommend is called "Kin of the Stained Blade," on RUclips which takes place in Ionia, another region in Runeterra. It follows the story of two of my favorite characters, and it's a great watch with even more lore.
Although note, the lore is good but don't fall for the Trojean horse of playing the game.
