though I do not like Charles' style, boy did he ever capture Asa ....not sure how such a minimal amount of paint can capture someone so well
My secret pleasure watching the show is “judging”’ the fashion choices of the female judges. 😂 Never disappoints! An art of its own.
ABSOLUTELY THE RIGHT CHOICE FOR WINNER 🏆!!!
I love the judges pick. His style is really interesting and unique and I want to see more. All the artists’s work was fantastic though.
All interesting paintings yet I this time Indon't agree with the judge's "final" decision.
Charles absolutely deserves it.
I can’t wait til u get to 10!
Ty😊
Excited to see a new year.
It’s too bad they never have a Pastelist artist. I’d love to see that!

quero a tradução do Brasil, para eu acompanhar vcs..
I find it odd, that most of the artists are starting with a green ground. What are the odds of that?
A cool green ground often does wonders for when you put warm flesh tones down on top. For a landscape you can do the opposite, a nice warm ground with green on top.
No
Again, it seems like the beautifull woman is most difficult. None of hers looked like her.
If I eat a biscuit in bed, why do I always feel a crumb by my foot? And Why do I always think somebody else should’ve won the portrait rounds on this program.
Thinking it is time for some new judges. 99% of the time, they get it WRONG. Sadly...
Ummm have to disagree
this comic presenter gets on my nervs he seems to be very smug and he is rude to the artists
Love the show but they most always pick the worst one.
The show is called PORTRAIT artist of the year, not CARTOON artist of the year.
Another utterly abysmal choice by the judges.
You never ever have a positive thing to say do you….
I'm usually the first to criticize the judges' choices, however this time I'm okay with them.
His self portrait was cartoonish with a very weak likeness, however the portrait he made in 4h to me doesn't look cartoonish at all, even if it has strong dark lines everywhere, it has a real likeness, and not like a caricature, more like an impressionist portrait (I'm not really well-versed in art history so it might not be the right description). I think it takes skill to capture real likeness without getting down and dirty with the details.
Though to be honest I feel that that day was low on artists able to capture true likeness. Even the two shortlisted Mickeys were just a little bit off IMO.
