- Former US president Donald Trump has announced when he will reveal his 2024 running mate during a wide-ranging interview with TV host Dr Phil.
Trump plans to announce his vice presidential pick at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee next month.
America's 45th president made the remarks in an interview that aired on Thursday at 8PM ET/ 0000GMT on Merit Street and streamed on Merit+.
"I'm going to do it in the convention, come up during the convention. We'll do an interview," he told Dr Phil.
His statement comes after months of speculation about whether former Republican nomination contenders might be considered for the role.
Itd be sooo cool if he hired Candace Owens as his press secretary. She would destroy them every single time.

President Trump is a fearless warrior, his VP would need to be as strong as him.

Huh? The charges in the Georgia case were very clear, and the two time impeached, sexual abusive, convicted felons "perfect" phone call is damning evidence. The documents case in Florida is pretty cut and dry, too much evidence, the audio tape, plus the fact that the Presidential Records Act does not say a President has ownership of all government documents from his presidency as Trump falsely claimed. A president can only keep personal items like memoirs, personal notes, and letters. All other documents must be returned to the national archives by the exiting POTUS by inauguration day of incoming POTUS. Go read it, it isn't that long. The January 6th case is pretty obvious with the obstruction charge, and the fake elector scheme and Bannon caught on tape admitting Trump was going to claim he won, even if he lost. Trump should consider himself lucky, the falsifying business documents is the least important case of the four. The supreme court, Trump appointed judge Aileen Cannon and the Georgia republicans obviously in it for Trump have all but assures with obvious delays, phony appeals cases stopped indefinitely that these three important cases will not go to trial until after the 2024 election, or if ever.
