I don't think the max range is as much of an issue as the lacking of charging infrastructure. Something with 250 miles of range that I can guarantee I'll find a fast changer for everywhere I go is more appealing to me as a road trip car than something with 400 miles but not enough chargers
@@RichardJoashTan That’s fine, you can buy whatever you want. It’s a free market. Even for bad cars, there’s always some people who will buy them. I’m not saying the EV9 is a bad car. I’m just saying there are better options, as can be seen by the sales numbers. In Q1 2024, 4007 EV9 were sold. In the same period, 8017 R1S were sold. The R1S outsold the EV9 by a wide margin despite the fact that the EV9 has a much lower starting price with cheaper materials. The R1S is much more expensive but most people still preferred that car over the EV9, which shows that the R1S is a much better value. So to say that the EV9 is the best 3 row SUV is disingenuous at best.

It costs way more money for a base model and the support, according to the people I know who have them, is very sub-par if something goes wrong. Then again Kia is not known for having a good warranty/support setup either. I've heard nightmare stories about long waits on parts for Kia.
