People that still have doubts regarding his potential and current skills, should watch his past two performances against Peru and France. He made his debut against Peru and thanks to his excellent performance, the Dutch won that game. I think this game was a confirmation for Koeman to put him in his starting eleven against France. He didn't disappoint, since he was one of the best players on the Dutch side, along with de Ligt. On the pitch you could see that the likes of Pogba and Kante had respect for him. He proved his worth and gave our Dutchies hope for better times, since he is one of the few players that dares to takes risks in his play and plays the ball forward, not backwards. Of course, there is no guarantee that he will be a top player (due to unexpected circumstances like injuries, etc), but you can't deny the fact that he's got what it takes and he proves it game after game again. Especially since the start of this season he has been exceptional.
