"I told you - you'd get tired of blowin' that whistle before I got tried of running!" That's a flex right there. Love it! I don't know about y'all but I always loved students and players like that, too. It was hard to keep a straight face and not break out into a smile when a young man pulled something like that in front of me.

@@TG-18TheSpaceManyup even as lineman I loved running. Once you’re in shape, your legs will get used to it. Running snakes, 220s forget what we called them full length field including end zone so 220s is what I always called em, full field suicides was my favorite. Would always try to race the RBs and WRs.

From the age of 7 to 18, I had the same football coach-Coach Mellon. He stayed with our team because his son played with us, and man, was he strict. One memory that sticks out is when I was about 9 years old. I jumped offsides twice in a row during practice. Coach Mellon made me run gassers for the rest of the two-hour practice. It was absolute hell at the time, but after that, I rarely ever jumped offsides again. Looking back, having a tough coach like that was necessary-it taught me discipline and built character in ways I didn’t appreciate until later.

Around 2006 when I was playing pop warner football, we did bully in the ring. One kid was getting “bullied” really bad; I think the coach was trying to make him tougher. The next day his dad showed up to practice with his equipment, threw it at the coach, yelled at and almost fought him. To be honest though with hindsight he was right. Giving 10 year olds concussions for no reason is really stupid. Different times ig.

I used to run 800 metres. A typical training session would be 7 x 300 metres, with a minute rest in between. Basically, the time it took me to walk from the 300m mark to the start finish line. By about the 3rd run, I was absolutely gassed. Haven't even got my breath back, and I can hear coach shouting "3, 2, 1......."

Coaches in Texas want to flirt with that 100-degree weather. NIL might say stop practice at 92 degrees, but they didn't want to hear all that🤣
Not a cloud in sight, and we still have another hour of practice to go🔥💀🔥

You run about halfway then back peddle to where you started and run across to the other sideline, coaches would mix it up by running passed the halfway point then back peddle from almost the other side line then run full across and that was everyday after practice
