When did he start? 1991? Shame on us cuz we stuck with silly careers. We have been doing travel on the side since 1994 but only "YT" since recent so shame on us.
@ he's an inspiration to us. We have to do it all ourselves (film edit and so on) but hopefully what we share will get seen, enjoyed and help others like you!
Welcome back, Rick, so glad to see you again, and this episode is AMAZING 👏 🤩 ❤️ I wish you best of health, we miss you a lot! I watched rewatched most of your old travels, thank You!!!!
I discovered this during the lockdown and watched all of the seasons on Prime like 10 times in the last 4 years! Another show I love was Penelope Keith's Hidden Villages, truly amazing!
I used to watch you when I was back home in Nepal. Now, I am doing my master's and traveling around beautiful Europe, following your guides. Thank you, sir Rick, for coming back.
Great to have Rick back again. We've enjoyed taking all these virtual trips with Rick all these years. You've been our favorite TV travel guide, since you bring the spirit of the nation alive for us. Great to see you again.
I never did a Rick Steves tour but it was watching your videos on our PBS station that got my daughter interested in travelling to Europe. I became her travel partner on four trips and had never realized how much I would enjoy seeing Europe. The funny thing was my wife did not want her to travel alone and I had no idea how much I would enjoy them but I did like history and scenery. There was also lots of art and many churches so they were more like educational trips. Thanks for showing me this great trip to Iceland.
I started watching your videos way back 2017, when I was a 9th grader. Now, I'm on my last year of college. Your videos keeps me inspired to travel more and enjoy life! Thank you!
So glad to see you have a YT channel. I watched your show on TV when we lived in California in the early 2000s. A treasure in the travelling community!
Yayyy I’m so happy right now. I’m a huge fan of yours Rick. Before I discovered you, I knew nothing about Europe and never had any desire to travel. After watching your show, it is my DREAM to travel to Italy first and foremost, followed by traveling all over Europe, and learning of the local cultures and traditions, and allllll the history. Love it. Thank you 🙏
Bruh, whenever I tell people about Rick Steves, I tell them about the Amsterdam episode. The last thing I expected was for him to partake… “when in Rome” 😂 but that episode caused me to learn so much more about who he is. And now that I think about it, he would definitely be in my top 5 people to smoke a j with.
So good to see you back on travel and now Iceland. Even though I visited there 2 years ago, but I still have to see your video to see what I missed! Love you!
I love Iceland, especially Reykjavik. I'm 29 now, but right when I turned 19 I did a solo backpacking trip in Iceland. I stayed in a hostel on the main road (down from the rainbow street) leading up to the church. It had a wonderful rooftop bar and little cafe where so many hostel-goers and townspeople would come mingle. I've never experienced such welcoming, fun people. The whole town was amazing to walk through, and everyone was so excited to share the secrets of their city with a crazy independent teenager. I will always hold Iceland deep in my heart. My favorite place I've traveled. And the backpacking opportunities outside of the cities are incredible!
What an inspiration you are!!!Hooray! You look great and in our thoughts for continued good times of great health! Thank you for this gift of a fantastic “take me Iceland” time, puffins! And now off to watch the classic, Journey to the Center of the Earth 🌋 😊
Whenever I see photos of Iceland, I immediately think of the "How To Train Your Dragon" films due to how rugged the landscape is. Also, I think it would be awesome if Rick Steves teamed up with Mattel to produce an animated special about the Island of Sodor (Thomas & Friends).
Glad you are back rick! Ive been watching since i was a kid in the early 2000s. Im now 27. Watching your vids make me wanna visit other parts of europe as well
I lost my passport in Vik. Maybe because we visited the vinbudhin first thing. I am in awe of this video, much the way I was our entire visit to Iceland in 2017. An enduring, joyful memory.
It's wonderful to see Rick explore gorgeous, fascinating Iceland! It sang to my very soul when I visited in 2016. I hope to return to visit the West Fjords and north and east coasts as well as hike the stunning Laugavegur Trail. This episode brought back wonderful memories.
I traveled to Switzerland Alp's Mountains reagion because of Rick Steves, the best of the Alps episode. I ll definitely go back again but to the Italinan and French Alps. After watching this episode, Iceland will be next on my travel list. Thank you Rick, God bless you 🙏

There is no one that I would rather smoke a joint with, and talk about traveling, than Mr. Rick Steves.
