THE LAST BITUMEN TRAIN? + Some Model Railway Action

Following a comment by Geoff Currie on Ashworth Media’s channel, I learned that Fina Oil Company has suspended if not curtailed bitumen deliveries to Preston Docks after many years of regular operations (encompassing most of my lifetime!)
If this is the case , I believe I sadly caught the last train out of Dodge with the 6E43 Colas Ribble Rail to Haverton at 10.08 on 31st October 2024 eastbound through Lostock Hall with 56103 hauling only 5 bogied tanks.
To balance the scales I thought I’d put a bit of Stanier magic out there with Jubilee ‘KOLHAPUR’
hurtling through the imaginary Scottish highlands with a West Coast Railways heritage set.
Also featuring West Coast’s class 57314 ‘Conway Castle’ returning to Carnforth from Newark.
