  • Short cinematic at the end!
This week, using virtual production methods, I put together a found footage horror scene in Unreal Engine 5 involving a cluttered office and liminal space type hallways. I was inspired by videos of entering the backrooms in which characters glitch through a wall and noclip out of reality. By setting up a scene to scale with my actual room I was able to really control how shots were placed with virtual cameras.

Even though the environmental design quality is top notch, this is not level design, and is misleading for people trying to learn level design. Again, nice environment!

This was done using Livelink, I have an older video on the subject: ruclips.net/video/GYHW-mF5zPc/видео.htmlsi=yTLSlxInFss-vSVm
I also have a new method of getting the handheld look using a plugin called dragonfly: ruclips.net/video/HpDvoiS6bA4/видео.htmlsi=7MU3lVgIo9SLxlUY
      Hope this can help!

With the found footage aspect at the end, are you able to impliment that exact found footage camera motion / movement into UE5 gameplay or is it more of a cinematic / cutaway thing? Just discovered this, really impressive

Amazing video! Quick tip to fix the streaming pool issue without restarting the whole engine. Enter this console command: r.streaming.poolsize 8000 (you can replace the 8000 with any number you want depending on your system/gpu) All best!
