Love that Eddie Hill Texan inclosed cockpit dragster ahead of its time. Dad and I use to go to the boat drags and Eddie (the Texan) dominated in blown fuel hydro and was the guy to beat. A true champion I think he was first over 200mph on water,😳 oh and no cockpit. He escaped with his life in a unsolved nasty drag boat wreck here in Glendale AZ at what was then Firebird Lake and well "thats all folks". Eddies success in dragster came later with his nuclear bannana. Pennzoil dragster.
lovin' these old Drag Racing films you're posting, please keep 'em coming :-)
That's we're it all Started from old school drag racing
Being in Louisiana, you know its so humid and uncomfortable in those cars.....ugh.
I was at that race with my dad. I was 8 years old and I still have my picture with Kenny Bernstein.
