Thanks mate! Its a great bit of gear, don't know why i didn't get one sooner! Will get the map checked just to make sure everythings sweet, and will do an update video next week on the chat we had with forge.
@@VersionOneUK intrested to see if it makes any difference with the remap and if any minor gains can be made. Look foward to the next one. Its a great bit of kit, iv had zero issues with mine after many years still going as strong as day one. Ill probably take it apart soon and give it a little bit of oil!!
@@johnboy2436 i asked GFB and they said it doesn't need lubrication or servicing, but I'll be sure to keep you guys updated as far as the map tweak goes etc
Did you install the forge valve FMDV23A? If so, could you help us with the installation? In particular, how did you attach the electrical sensor and how did you attach the hoses?
I have the forge bov all metal construction there was no spacer it was a sealed unit and no boost leaks runs good, was the spacer specifically for the recirc valve just wondering why I never had this spacer so never had the problem? Oh I'm now realising you had a spacer and the standard valve nevermind, ignore me lol. Either way the forge bov despite the dodgy wiring connector, runs great and only dumps under load and sounds like a rally car on gear changes it's hilarous, one blow off noise and it's very high pitch, loud and old school. How loud, the blow off is actually louder than the exhaust overrun but only when WOT, full boost.
@@LARGE_COKE yeah mate i was testing the spacer plate just for those guys that are too savvy when it comes to doing mods and it's something easy that can give a bit more excitement to the driving experience without cutting stuff up for a BOV etc. The GFB I've been running for a while now and it's great, really responsive throttle
Great piece of kit! Got one on my Clio rs! Even though mine isn’t mapped I still think the better quality is worth it. I dunno if it would add power to mine being not mapped 🤷♂️
No I dont think so mate as you'd essentially be double stacking, and those smart spacers leak boost, thats why I switched to the gfb because it's a sealed unit
@@VersionOneUK Thank you very much for your answer. I am in doubt whether to install the GFB valve (recirculated) or the forge discharge valve (non-recirculated) Do you know if with the EDC transmission, when changing gears, the accelerator butterfly closes? thank you so much
@@jorchitos I wouldn't run any spacer plate mate, unless you want a boost leak. I smoke tested it and it leaked quite badly, get yourself either a proper BOV or the GFB to maintain a sealed unit
Question. On the outside of the box, above the barcode. Does it say T9362 DV+ For Clio Rs, when you order it from the gfb site? Because also, my piston looks different then yours (not red)
It does mate yeah... I ordered it through their ebay store, I've seen a few people have been getting the blue topped piston, maybe a new design? Drop them a message mate

When i messaged paul he said get it off, thats not right 😂 so i did. Not saying I've gained power but the car 100% holds boost better, less laggy under the pedal too
Next video will fully update you guys on the situation with forge, spoke to them on the phone for a good 40mins and we are pretty confident in whats happening

Really well made unit! It won't 'add power' as such but it definitely will hold boost better which results in generally better response everywhere
Just need to clarify, the part you fitted is originally for the clio rs? That is the link is taking me to.
Yes mate, the factory recirc is the same 👌its the same engine series too, just 200cc smaller in the clio
@VersionOneUK OK cheers mate, thanks for clarifying 👍
Hi,can you use the GFB valve with the forge valve spacer?
I think its a good combo for a blow off valve.
Thank you very much

What is the part you’ve actually fitted ? Is it a dump valve ash
No mate its a recirc. Don't want to run a dump valve as i think they sound a bit naff unless you're running big boost or a big turbo...
When it was mapped if it was leaking Paul would have noticed requested boost didn’t match actual
