leaving new york with my kids was the best thing i could have done. we moved down south and it’s so peaceful. i don’t ever want them to grow up how we grew up. the girls may be sad to leave their friends to start something new but a new beginning would be so exciting for them. whatever your decision is i know you’ll always make the best for them 🤍
My family and I moved to Cary, NC from the NY. My daughter was nine years old. She is now 27 years old. The best decision we made.

I finally relocated from CT to Hope Mills NC next to Fayetteville. It’s different, slow…slow I mean slow but I’m getting used to it. I finally have my hearts desire…a front & back yard (.88acres), 4 bdrms, 2 n 1/2 bath, 2 car garage, large kitchen, dining room, living room. My grands can run around etc. I’m content with my new space. Stay with an open mind and let God lead you. Btw I got my nose pierced while down here and I’m 52 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Taking the kids to view a home that feels out of reach is just a form of MANIFESTATION. It's nothing wrong with showing them possibility and growth.

My mom, sister and her kids as well as me and my two kids jumped up on a Monday, packed one bag a each and jumped on a plane from Illinois to Las Vegas on faith in 2011. We have been here in Vegas for 13 years now and we don’t regret it all all. It was the best decision ever! And no we didn’t ask our kids , we did what was best for everyone
If you really wanna move you got to literally move on faith. In 2009 me my sister and her four kids just up and moved. Me and my sister drove from Pittsburgh Pa to look at houses. We found one had enough for rent and down payment. As we drove back to Pittsburgh with keys we kept looking at each other like did we just move to Charlotte 😂. And got back and had to put stuff in fast motion because we had the keys to this house in Charlotte. And now it’s 2024 and we’re still here. And her kids felt the same way about moving. Her oldest was 13 her twins were 11 and the youngest was 9 they now love it.

You should also explore other cities prior to settling for Fayetteville. There are other cities in NC that may have more excitement for the kids.

They clearly LOVE NY. I have relatives there. After they visited South Carolina a few Summers in a row, they LOVE it here. A few of them ended up going to college at HBCUs in the South.

Your children are so humble and it seems like they really value and appreciate their home and lived experiences. When Makayla said, "We're good in our 2bedroom," she seemed genuine and sincere in that conviction. Being with you and her siblings in that cozy environment probably provides comfort to her. I do think it's important to expose children to adventure. As soon as I graduated college (currently 3 yrs out) I started traveling and it is one of my favorite activities. I think they will appreciate this trip when they're older. I *don't* think it's a good idea to show them the houses yet. They may be too young to process the disappointment (yes, I know they are teenagers)

Ive never been to Fayetteville but I live in Greensboro and am from Islip, NY but also lived in Baltimore and newark before coming south. I love it down south it was definitely the best decision I've ever made❤️
Leaving brooklyn is the best thing i ever done! I moved from bk 5 years ago and i feel like life outside of nyc is just so much more simple! And its just something to experience.

Let them have the experience!!! Have a discussion with them about manifesting! Let them see so they can have a VISION!!! Teach them to INVISION their desires! Broaden their horizons!! Think outside of the box!! As moms we have to sometimes make decisions FOR our children with THEIR futures in mind! They may not understand…but they WILL e grateful later. 💜

I'm from NC too and I think Fayetteville does not compare to NYC. 😂 I don't think there is anywhere in NC that compares to NYC as it relates to crime and violence.

I’m from Charlotte NC which is the biggest city in NC. It’s like a smaller Atl your family would love it there. It’s more stuff to do and cost of living is cheaper than NY. If you have time to visit it’s not too far from fayetteville.

Literally every one of my family members who moved out of New York said it was the best decision they ever made. Add 1 on move to our Arizona. She loves it there. She only comes to New York to visit and that’s enough for her my cousins move to Maryland. she got pregnant with her daughter, she literally says the best decision she ever made. She only comes to New York to visit But it is something that you have to get used to, but once you get used to it, you don’t even look back.
Ayeeee. I love traveling. I think you are overthinking it because whether its New York, Texas, South/North Carolina, show them its ok to step outside of your comfort zone, and want better. Give them that experience of house shopping with yall and don't over think it. Jazzy, your conversation with the ladies was hilarious! I was a die hard Brooklyn Girl and at age 14 i had to move to Virginia with my dad. I was absolutely devastated! I didn't want to go! Once i got down there i ended up LOVING IT!! I was able to learn to drive. I went to the Friday night football games. It was so much fun. Believe me, the girls will end up loving it. A bigger house, my own room, etc. now I'm in ATL and would never go back to NYC. Nope, never. I'll always love NY but, not ever live again.

I moved from East NY to Florida when I was a teenager and I was the one that wanted us to move. I hated it immediately. There’s so much opportunity in NYC that I missed out on that is just not available to you in the south. But for some people it might be worth it. I made my way back to Brooklyn as soon as an opportunity was available to me.

It's soooo much cheaper down there girl! And a completely different way of life. If it's in your heart look at some areas you're interested in and then you can always look from home in New York online cuz you'll have a better feel for where you want to be until that one pops up and you can make it yours ❤
Take the kids to Epic on Walter Reed Rd, The Event inside cross creek mall, and Urban Air on Skibo Rd. They are all age fun for even the teenagers. I live in Fayetteville, hope to run into you while you're here🥰

We just left nyc for Fayetteville my son is 16 at first he didn’t like it but now he said you could not pay him to move back to Brooklyn he loves the fact that we have a 2000 sq house front and backyard his own room he is the only child he’s driving working I think they would like it they just gotta be open

I Miss it I was in Raleigh Nc now I’m back in New York I find myself not believing how I could miss a slow place but it is nice you get a better living & better for kids I deff appreciate it now that it’s all gone I miss the quality of living Myrtle beach is amazing also check it out at first when I moved to Nc I could not do it I was depressed it was hot but then I met friends when I would come home I was ready to go back to my nice home in Nc the school is better

Maybe try Charlotte NC, big enough for a city feel but small enough to still be country. Lots of transplants from up North.
Heyyyy I am close by Fayetteville!!! I would have loved to meet you! Like just meet you not to ask questions about RUclips lol. And I am someone that moved from NJ to NC and I could tell you really nice areas to move to in NC. Fayetteville is one of the more dangerous areas to live in, in NC although it’s really anywhere you live. I recommend Cary although it’s expensive, Raleigh I lived there and enjoyed it. For people moving from the north to the south Raleigh can help with that adjustment.
Have fun and enjoy NC where you can have 4 seasons in 1 day or 1 wk depending on how mother nature feels.

Show them kids some houses!! It’s all about manifesting and experiences. You’re not promising them a house but simply showing them something different and you can make it fun. Also, I know a few Realtors in the Charlotte area if you need help or advice!!!
Moving the babies from what they know, whew! That’s going to be an adjustment but they’ll adjust. The south is def slower and to city folk not a lot going on but trust, them kids will find friends, try camps, other activities for kids and will end up having fun. Speaking ya’lls move into existence!!!🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽

I am happy you and Keisha and the kids made it safely to Fayetteville. I know Keisha knows Fayetteville and she probably know all these places, they have opened up so many new places y’all can take the kids. Main Event in the Cross Creek mall, Epic Fun Park, Sky Zone Trampoline Park, Urban Air Trampoline and Adventure park, and much more. I know all of this because I have taken my grandchildren to these places. I know how you feel I lived in Bronx New York for many of years in the projects and I wanted to move my kids out of the hood, that was many years ago. I moved out of New York in 1997 to Rhode Island and then I moved to North Carolina in 2008 All of my children are grown and living on their own. I love living down here. I live in Hope Mills. I pray y’all have a great time, I know y’all will.
As a person who grew up in Fayetteville NC, I'm a cedar and deep creek shawty Fayetteville definitely is life experience it is a military town so the kids could explore and get that experience also. Definitely look at houses and just plant the seeds NC is an amazing place to be. Then I also grew up in the chapel hill area tar heels all day and I currently live on Rockaway parkway Brooklyn. I have seen the most out of the areas to be and the best thing a person from ny can do is explore other places to see that space is greater and abundance is out there. Best of luck on the journey so proud your doing this for your children and showing them what's out here.

I say look at the houses. I think it’s your our personal fears that you’re imposing on them. We are in the process of buying a house. To get to that point I would drive around ice neighborhoods.
I think the kids are more ocncerned with moving bc it's just something new and different. They've been where they are their whole life and yes, they are experiencing new things as they get older but it would be scary to move somewhere with while still in grade school. I'm glad you took the time out to listen to their concerns and thoughts but in the end, it is your decision. If it's easier on your pockets as a mom to move, then you make that decision and guide the kids as you go. It's all about being supportive and patient with their thoughts and worries. You handle that well

Jazzy hello 1st off but if you're thinking about moving to North Carolina or wherever n if it's gonna be a good move for you you should go ahead n do it, it probably would be the best change for you n your family, they might not see it now or think it wouldn't be good they will later in life tho, i regret not doing it when my kids were younger, i let my kids talk me out of it n everyone i know that made that move to North Carolina went there n had n having a great life now, so just Pray on it if that's on your heart n whatever you decide i still wish y'all well.

Coming from a person born and raised in Ohio who has never known anything but where I lived in wack Ohio . I’m absolutely beyond happy with my decision moving to nc. The weather is beautiful all year. No big piles of snow. Many many different things to do. Living up north is literally depressing. In Ohio it was windy and gloomy. Here the sun stronger and has, many more sunny days. When I moved here, I was very vitamin D deficient. You’re supposed to be at a 30 or higher, I was literally at 12.here there’s No harsh winters. My car is not rusted out. I literally had to put money into my car every year because the negative degrees killed my car and I always need some work done on it. I would never ever ever ever ever ever move back up north

Kids just say anything! I didn't give 2 💩 that my kids didn't want to leave Brooklyn. We moved and they love the extra space and the peace of mind now. Your kids will be just fine. That’s crazy. I just left the flea market to give the kids some fun take them to the mall. It’s a bowling alley arcade. A bar for the adults. It’s called just bowl cross Creek Mall, laser tag place in Fayetteville It’s really a lot of stuff to do in Fayetteville. but I literally just left Fayetteville. I live 45 minutes I go shopping every Sunday me and my daughter
