I just became a subscriber ,totally love your vlog I'm 74 years old and feel 50 on the inside lol but I always buy what makes me happy ,age is a number ,women should always embrace,and support each other ,and yes you look beautiful in the shorts dresses with those great looking legs.

Furthermore, I agree there is nothing wrong with showing your legs. I am 68 and I would definitely wear the black/white dress that hits just above the knees.

Wear what you like. If you are comfortable in a shorter dress, you wear it. I am 74 and have some veins. Although I wouldn’t wear a very short dress, I am wearing dresses and wearing them without covering my legs. We can’t worry about what other people like. Live for you and your husband.

Wow, I didn’t realize I’d start out watching a fun video about choosing dresses and end up almost crying when you talked about all your legs have done for you throughout your life. Very inspiring! But on top of that, even on just a shallow, aesthetic level, you’ve got great legs. Even if you didn’t, go ahead and wear what you want.

I'm glad that you mentioned an option for bras (the 'sticky' bra). Like you, I don't enjoy exposing my undergarments. The 'halter' style dresses look nice, but I usually avoid them because of the bra factor. I may reconsider Amazon for clothing shopping.

Lori, first time viewer here. I appreciate what you said how you gravitate to different styles. I, too, am on a dress kick and love the easiness of them. Your first dress with stripes, understand the no. I have the same in black and love love love it lol. Give it a try in a solid and you may feel differently. Although the belt is wonky, I tie in the front. As far as colors, I tend to wear black, but am finding that since moving from Buffalo to Clearwater am embracing the hot weather and with that is color in my clothing choices. That’s great the very bright dress! I love colour! Especially having spent my working life in hi vis ( tradie gear…. Works as it’s a uniform! No need to stress about dirt, paint, or damage and all my team look like minions…lol..) and living in Melbourne where the native colour is black!, so very colourful has always been my out of work preference! Hi Lori, I LOVE traveling and just discovered your channel. I live in Texas and am 50+ but I still feel like I can dress in some “younger” looking dresses. I do practice some modesty and like you am very, very picky about how things fit -especially dresses. I like pockets, but can never seem to find ones that don’t stick out and accentuate my hips. They aren’t overly wide, but it makes me feel uncomfortable and I think it’s unflattering on me. I think you looked absolutely gorgeous in both of the shorter dresses. We are going to Europe in June and I’m looking for cute dresses that I will feel good in. I think I’m going to order both of the shorter dresses, but for reference can you tell us how tall you are. I’m 5’7” and sometimes the shorter dresses I order from Amazon are just a little too short for me. Thanks!

I’m always shocked when women push their insecurities and rules for themselves on other people. Society has so many “rules” for women over 40/50+ but thank God that’s changing. Women aren’t going to meld into the background anymore after a certain age. We have value, relevance and life to live 😍

Of course - these are the two I use regularly amzn.to/42u8zXX and amzn.to/3pFAlSL I slightly prefer the rabbit ear shaped one so if my outfit can accommodate it is my go to. I use the other if it does not. I appreciate you being here, thank you 😁😁😁
