OMG all these ridiculous storries (coffee houses in NY, the movie scene in the car...) is for example less important than being in a relationship with Leonard Cohen who told her which books she should read, books from Camus, Hesse... My point of view. Hey guys what about Joni´s music besides her singing? Joni´s MUSICALITY!? Not even mentioned once in the 46 min. Her instruments? Open tuning, alternate tuning? She creates after a few seconds this particular mood, melancholy and feelings with her melodies, cord changes on her instruments. That´s why people love her music. On her first two albums she is playing only the guitar. On her third album (Ladies of the Canyon) Joni is playing only six songs on the guitar and six on the piano. And on Blue? Four on the piano, four on the dulcimer and only two on the guitar! For you this does not matter, right?
