Mike Love is a colossal asshole who has been desperately trying to avoid. getting a real job for sixty years.

As an American I’m disgusted at Mike Love for attempting to align The Beach Boys’ name with Trump, but not surprised in the slightest that the two of them would be buddies. They’re both obnoxious assholes with money they don’t need or deserve. Mike’s been actively sabotaging the band for years. Whether his ego would allow him to admit it or not, he’s a large part of the reason they became irrelevant. We can always appreciate Brian Wilson, but it’s shameful what Mike has done. He’s turned these works of art into meaningless commodities and is constantly pandering to the old Republican crowd, all in the name of making a few bucks.

The reason you hear drums playing while John Stamos is standing is the Beach Boys implement two drummers, you can see the other drummer to the right (when looking toward the stage you can see the 2nd drum set). I don't think many of the other performers with them work with them anymore, their current 2024 tour is absolutely top notch! Check out their current 2024 drummer Jon Bolton on youtube, he is crazy good!!!

Wow, I am late to this jewel of a video. I’m sure others have alerted you to this, but just in case, McGrath, Stamos, and Love made a new video of Do It Again in 2017? There’s lots of pointing at Mike Love, mugging for the camera and Mike Love is wearing a cap that says Mike Love. When I’m feeling bad about myself, I watch this and feel so much better. If you can find it, there’s a video from the 60s/70s of Mike Love applying sunscreen at a swimming hole in Big Sur, no hat. It is spectacular. If you can’t find it (I couldn’t, maybe I dreamed it), listen to California Saga (Beaks of Eagles) off The Beach Boys’ Holland record, and you’ll hear the lovely sounds of Mike Love waxing poetically about Big Sur, Eagles and the benefits of sunscreen. It’s like the sunscreen video without moving pictures. Lastly, find solace in knowing that The Beach Boys are 500 percent worse than the 2017 video you posted. Oddly, the cracker audience still looks the same, in their American swag, Tommy Bahama shirts, and walkers, and even though Love has hired 4 guitarists and rarely sings, and pretty much has handed over the keys to John Stamos, who struts around the stage in his fancy white suit and gold 335, takes over drums for a few songs and performs a drum solo and changes costumes 3x, The Beach Boys are more a tribute band of a tribute band of a tribute band of The Beach Boys. The only thing that can save them is if ol’ left-ear Tr*mp (too soon?) takes over for Love on vocals. Nothing much will change, but they’ll be a little worse and that’s a win for The Beach Boys.

Mike Love was, is, and always will be The Beach Boys. If you don’t believe him, just ask him.

Mike Love sure created some crap for himself, no doubt, thankfully, to me, what matters most is the present moment, and from the videos I have seen of the 83 year old man he is today, he’s mellowed out to someone quite pleasant.

If you don’t know who Mark McGrath from Sugar Ray is, I would not take your expertise on anything musical. The Band Sugar Ray was pretty popular when you had John Mayer, Dave Matthew’s Band, Fuel, Smash Mouth, and The Red Hot Chili Peppers. The guy on the Drums is John Stamos an actor and musician he is huge Beach boys fan he actually personally knows The Beach Boys Brian Wilson included for much longer than you dude, go watch Full house episode in the early 90’ where John stamos has The Beach Boys come over to their show Brian Wilson included, Stamos also a big Elvis Presley fan, you really seem to be uncultured swine to be honest. The drummer is John Stamos from Full House. He has performed occasionally with the Beach Boys since the early 80s, and they appeared on his show multiple times. I don't know why he would agree to fake drum. It's embarrassing.
