Would you like to see the Garage 56 car replacing the Next Gen in the NASCAR Cup Series? (With Ford and Toyota making their own versions)
This would most likely fit more in imsa as a seperate class with Ford an Toyota making their own cars
Maybe on road tracks, definitely not on ovals.
On-road courses, yes. Take the current low-downforce short-track package and make it the rule for all ovals. I like pure racing with fast cars based on driver skill, team strategy, and car setup, so, I want to see big speed differentials, corners vs straights, and new tires vs old tires. Garage 56 is perfect on the road but handles too well to race well on an oval in my view. The current oval package is just too slow on the road courses.
For now, just on road courses.
But, another cool idea i can think of is if Nascar had its own separate international cup division and races on tracks like the WEC, then racing the garage 56 cars would definitely be a great opportunity both for the car and Nascar to showcase to fans internationally.
Nooope
Well it looks like the Garage 56 NASCAR pretty much destroyed the “normal” NASCAR by a long shot. But it was still a nice little comparison!
It would be cool to see how will they do against each other in a series (like a best of 7 or something) on different tracks or an oval or two. 👍
I think it will be interesting to see how these two cars compare round an oval track like Daytona.
Soon...
Imagine if Nascar makes a new racing series out of the Garage 56 entry. With the Ford and Toyota cup cars also getting the Garage 56 treatment.
Imagine if modified stock cars like the Garage 56 Camaro were permitted in the WEC regulations
this would effectively be the american adaptation of v8 supercars
IMSA GTO comes to mind
@@ZedNinetySix_ Audi: leme grab my turbo inline 5, and quattro...
They don't even have to make a separate series out of it, just make this the standard road package for NASCAR and retain the current Cup cars for ovals. Just like they do with IndyCar.
Every time I see this Nascar Camaro I remember Lightning McQueen from the movie Cars
I came here for ðis comment
And Americans thinks NASCAR defeated LMGTE... That thing is beyond then the NASCAR.
Excuse me what? Who asked anyways? Plus WTF fuck is LMGTE? I heard of GT3 and all sorts of GT’s but the fuck is LMGTE?
True
Regardless, its still a big moment for us in the states. Seeing one of our motorsports get noticed. While its still leaps beyond the stock cars in terms of aero and a bit more power, its still a show of what our nascar teams could do if you reduced the restrictions and allow them to be creative.
Now imagine was GTE (or even GT3) could be if one allowed the teams to run them unrestricted by regulations.@@zeroaspect92
@@zeroaspect92 Agreed on that.
Next you should compare these two at an oval track
Still Garage56 was better
I will!
You could put Mazepin in the G56 car and he'd still be faster than Verstappen in the Cup Car
Accurate comment.
Doubt (max doesn’t spin)
Mazepin's bad because he's just given rubbish car to drive.
I think Max would have a hard time scoring points on a 2021 Haas.
@@mahiru20tendo you even watch F1
@@SulistasDePortoAlegreDaCVFF I do. 2021 haas was a rubbish one. Even Mick had a hard time getting points on it.
Should credit the mod makers
We are talking alumiunum calipers correct? I think it was Jeremey Clarkson that said, "the reason we don't have aluminum rotors is because they have the same stopping power as swiss cheese."
Cup cars run brake rotors small enough for a fiat 500 and they are 4 piston. Literally no stopping power compared to the size of the beast
Calipers are not the same as rotors are Alluminium capipers is the norm in automotive. For roadcars and some restricted race series steel rotors are the norm. For high end racing carbonfiber rotors are the norm.
Lol 😂

Not funny, name the engineering stuff correctly or shut up.
i wished nascar used the G56 as like a seperate spec for like road circuits
What I would like to see next year, is that in IMSA and WEC thru put the categoría of Innovative Cars, having all NASCAR cars racing in WEC and IMSA and racing their full schedule
why ??? they are way too slow, 3 categories is already dangerous, imagine now these nascar with no grip, bad brakes.
nascar needs to use the g56 as a prototype for a road course package car
the problem then would be cost for the teams in nascar.. so they would really have to figure out how to reduce total team cost. Only way to do that is to make the G56 car a permanent fixture in all cup races.
Could've put an actual GTE car to see if the stock nascar is already fast enough
I would be just in between these two here
Can you race these two cars on an oval, a short oval, and a road course?
Bro G58 is still going to beat it
@ifeelcoke4347 I want to see how much the G56 car beats the Cup Car in its natural habitat
@@ifeelcoke4347 not really G56 has way more drag so it wouldn't be better everywhere
@@jeremiahhardel2646 you’re dense.
Yes!
Can you do Garage 56 vs Super GT vs GT3 vs GTE
This would be great.
The Garage should be between the GT500 and the GTE, closer to the GTE but you will see all these cars battling together here ;)
I'd like to see them both on an oval for comparison
I'll make a video!
@@THEWINDTUNNEL thanks so much :) it's a clear win to the Garage 56 on any road course for sure, was curious if it's still faster on an oval or if the handling is all messed up compared to the Next Gen.
Maybe a mile and a half/2 mile, like Charlotte or Michigan, and a half mile like Martinsville. I'm thinking the Garage 56 is better on the short ovals like Martinsville or Bristol but I'm guessing it's pretty close on the bigger ovals
tbh the garage 56 car should win in a road course, put em in an oval, like atlanta or sum
This is a beefier 9,24,5,48 for IMSA
Hendrick Motorsports does it again.
Imagine if Hendrick brought these to a NASCAR race. Crew chiefs supended until Gen 8 😂
"race cars don't need headlights because the track is always *lit* 😂😂👌👌💯"
1:02 THE TURN NAMED AFTER ME
Cool
😏
The Garage 56 car is not 238 kg lighter. It was 109 kg lighter.
Y do they sound so different they actually sound the same cuz they have the same engine
just the sound mod, he could've given them the same sound but in ac there's really no good nascar sound that has shift sounds on upshift if it's a sequential
Could you share your setup for that track?
The Garage56 car turns heads, both ways...the cup car only one way. NASCAR should replace the cup car with the G56 version permanently.
According to an artificial intelligence that did an analysis of the capabilities of the parts of Garage 56, this car could reach 352 km/h but in the race against Lemans it only showed 296 km/h.
How true is this? And if so, what would the garage 56 be like vs a formula 1?
That's my idea!
Cup car sound better
Is there a way I can get your version of the Garage 56 car?
With these physics you mean?
@@THEWINDTUNNEL Or in general, I can't seem to find a download for the G56 car anywhere.
Why do i think they finished 1st in the GT class?
They qualified with a faster time than the fastest GTE but finished in 39th overall with 9 GTE cars in front. Unfortunately they had gearbox issues so they spent a lot of time repairing the car but it still managed to finish the race
what the simulator is this?
Assetto Corsa

I wouldn’t doubt if the G56 car is that much quicker than the normal Cup car seeing the G56 testing at VIR I think was about 10 secs faster. Granted as much as it would be cool to see some other NASCAR G56 spec cars from other teams run by all 3 manufacturers in like IMSA and WEC, it’s never really going to happen due to having to fit a NASCAR class to the already high count grids. Especially from the high interest from manufacturers looking at either Hypercar or GTP with the LMH and LMDh regs. And WEC is already axing LMP2 from the grid outside of Le Mans and IMSA is axing LMP3 since they were just there to accommodate low car counts. It would be cool if the FIA and ACO would allow for a NASCAR class at Le Mans for the 50th year since 2 NASCAR Cup cars ran at Le Mans in 1976. Which hey WIND TUNNEL, next video idea maybe, lol. But even then, even if ya got NASCAR teams to run Le Mans or even other G56 type Cup cars in general, the only ones that would really get in on the deal would be Hendrick, RCR, JGR, maybe 23XI, and RFK with like 1-2 entries from each team. The only thing we can look forward to is possibly where can the Garage 56 Cup run at next if there is possibility of it running say the Nurburgring 24 hours or even the Bathurst 12 hours with SVG behind the wheel. That is just more of a wait and see and if the NASCAR higher ups can get some talks in. Other than that, it’s just a matter of what elements of the Garage 56 car be implemented on the Next Gen without turning the current car into a full Garage 56 copycat. Cause they can definitely add some things like the carbon fiber flooring to make the car lighter and more maneuverable, definitely the higher hp that everyone has been begging for but is being stopped by a matter of getting parts made, and maybe the taillights for at the road courses and short tracks at least. Unless NASCAR wants to try running headlights at the tracks that don’t have lights lol.
A video with G56 Toyota, Ford & Chevy for the Rolex 24 is in the works. I doubt the G56 will make it to the N24, it was a deal between ACO, FIA, WEC, IMSA, NASCAR and GM. The N24 has nothing to do with any of these. It would easily win the race overall, which the organisers wouldn't like. I think it's best chance is the 2024 Rolex 24 although it's unlikely we will ever see it racing again :(
kyle Larson had no chance

idk why that cup car have more rpm than a garage 56????
Lower Rpm's during a 24 hours race= less chanse of engine failure
Yes, that's correct. They ran it on an engine dyno/simulator for 30 hours and found the sweet spot for hp and endurance. However, I would love to see a short sprint version of this that runs 10k RPM
Lol the Next Gen got its ass handed to it! Man I hope NASCAR sees this!
There both Next Gens -.- The other is just modified so A next gen basically destroyed a next gen Hybrid
Seeing how it was a NASCAR project, I'm sure they have. They wanted this.
Lol get rekd
